An establishment quietly opens its doors as evening falls upon the city. The light of its lamps shine against velvet carpets and cushions, dimming against the tapestry and paintings on the walls. The smell of cigars and liquor trickle from the building, carried out by the warm air inside. Alongside it, soft chimes of a piano to accompany the relaxed laughter that can be heard every now and again. Though it is without doubt a gathering place for those who wish to drink and unwind, the aura exuded from the building is a far cry from the drunken debauchery that oft marks taverns and other such venues. Finely dressed servants scurry to and fro among clients, offering up high class drinks and steel cases of cigars. The customers that exit the building every now and again too dressed in the cleanest of silks, their hair kempt neatly for the occasion. Above the door, a sign hangs from a glass crystal colored red. There, upon the mahogany board lay carved the name responsible for it all;
"The Ruby Lounge".

The Ruby Lounge is a gentleman's club dedicated to fine dining, gambling, and the gentle relaxation brought on by the delicate melodies of piano music. There are three sections of the lounge, but only one is available to non-paying customers. The gambling lounge and the upper lounge are off-limits to non-patrons, but for a small price, any customer can advance to Patron status and enjoy the upper echelons of the Ruby Lounge.

In the gambling lounge exists a roulette table, blackjack tables, and poker tables, so any Regalian with a taste for the high class society can either multiply their winnings, or lose it all with the exact ease that the money came.

Upstairs from the initial lounge is the upper lounge, which includes a piano, magnificent views of the city street, and several cushioned seats and tables on which one may talk with his fellow Patrons It is a perfect place to listen to musicians, play chess, or drink and converse among friends.


House Rules

1. Always behave properly; to be rude to servants and fellow countrymen is uncouth.
2. Always dress appropriate; it is the clothes that make the man.
3. Leave all arms by the door; the Ruby Lounge protects it customers and Patrons.
4. Those who behave drunkenly will be asked to leave; to comply is only proper.
5. A Patron may invite a single Guest to the private lounges, and no more.
6. Stealing and Cheating will not be tolerated inside the Ruby Lounge.

Spoiler: How to get to the Ruby Lounge

For the price of a hundred regals monthly, one can advance their standing from a mere customer to a Patron member of the Ruby Lounge. Patrons, alongside being able to visit other parts of the lounge, get 25% off on all products excluding those available only to patrons, and can order special imports of various available drinks. Dishes and drinks that are Patron specific are listed with [Patron] in the menu. Additionally, Patron members can request that drinks which they desire but are not listed on the menu be imported to Regalia by the lounge.

• Chief of Staff
  • The Chief of Staff is responsible for the management and administration of the lounge. He takes care of ordering import drinks, hiring staff, and ensuring that all hired staff are active and within business policy. Additionally, the Chief of Staff must make sure that all staff, even the bouncers, are dressed according to the dress code. He also handles all complaints that customers may lodge against the other members of staff or even some disturbing customers.

They must be in uniform whenever on duty in the lounge, and are subject to scrutiny by the Chief of Staff if they err in this.

  • The bouncers are perhaps the most straightforward of all the staff members. Their duty is to throw out disturbers of the peace, to turn away customers not dressed to the standard of the Ruby Lounge, and to ensure that non-VIPs do not enter the VIP-only areas of the lounge.
