Nice work!
I'd like to ask how you begin your drawing process (base example etc) and what has been a constant help in your drawing stages? Certain influences/references? What part of the drawing do you start with and how do you choose your colour palletes?
Thanks,
Celt
THANK YOU FOR ASKING
How do I begin my drawing process?
Well I first conjure up an idea and get inspired, for instance, I'll use Volundrr's RP character for example.
My drawing process goes like this
Sketch (+ Cleaner Sketch if it looks hella messy)
Usually, I use references for poses, but I decided not to in this one
Color and Shade Over the Sketch (I dont use many layers, maybe 2-3 layers to color)
Color Correct the Image to match with the background
Usually, if I wanted to do poses, I'd use a reference (not a drawn references) but like real people posing. It's significantly better, and will surely help you learn how to draw anatomy.
What has been a constant help in drawing stages?
Well to be honest, you kinda have to picture what you're going to draw ahead of time. Not going to lie, but listening to music actually helps me do art, and the type of music I listen to affects my art.
Certain references/influences?
For inspiration I go on Tumblr
oh boy but I also rarely go on DeviantArt
On Tumblr, I follow some artists such as
Happyds I love her poses and anatomy/ expressions
velocesmells I kinda try and imitate her coloring style in my own way
Arucelli I love her style omg
What do I start with? I start on the eyes first, work my way down (basically) doing the nose then mouth, shape the head, and then just form the neck and make the body.
How do I choose my color pallets?
I try and use the color theory with
analogous colors and warm or cold colors
Usually if colors don't look right, I use filters or use Photoshop to fix it. Sometimes, you just gotta wing it.
