    Basic Information (Expansion)
After making contact with her cousin in Regalia, Elly sought to rekindle with her extended family after only recently graduating from her school. Where she would live came down to the d’Vauds- she had assumed that she would be allowed a place within their home.

Born in midland Brissaud to her Ithanian mother Jessamine and her Leutz father Richard, Elly was blessed with a young family; her mother and father were still at an age that they could produce a potential sibling. To her family line she is considered distantly related, being several cousins over to the family patriarch of d’Vaud.

Elly had very few goals in life. She wished to partake in the noble scene of Regalia, and she wished to prove that despite her limitations, she could do well for herself. She wished to be an asset, regardless of how distantly removed she might be.

    Visual Information (Expansion)
    Face
    ▪ The most striking feature of the young woman was perhaps the freckles that littered her face. Across her nose and atop each cheek did the darkened spots grace her features. Her eyes glimmered with a youthful shade of light blue, and her skin a stark, contrasting ivory. The woman had small ears which were hidden by loose threads of hair which threatened to fall out of the bun she kept secured in place by the Matrais comb she had acquired from her school. It’d be noted that, whilst the woman was blinded in her right eye, it showed no physical signs of issue. It moved side to side though it did not respond to light in any which way.
    Body
    ▪ The woman stood at an average height of five foot and six inches tall, and was happy to say that she was proud of her body. Having put herself through training to better her ability with a sword, she had come out on top form, for herself at least. She was could always improve on her physical fitness, but she was strong to what she needed to be. The freckles that decorated her cheeks continued on down her arms and legs. Her middle seemed somewhat devoid of them, though.
    Fashion
    ▪ More often than not, Elly was seen in dresses of her family colours. Or blue and white and black with some gold or something flashy to decorate it with. She was a fan of flowers, and the cloth of said gowns were usually that of a floral nature. They were all home-made. Upon her hands she always. When out or in the company of others, wore gloves. To accompany her gowns, her gloves were silken, and to accompany her uniform, they were usually leather and lined. Speaking of uniform, the woman held close to her, her military uniform. Decorated with tassels and bright colours, it was nothing something terribly standard, but it was important to her. It was unusual to see her in it. The clothing she wore, aside from her uniform, were always worn with corsets beneath, and were loose in fabric; they did not cling to her body and therefore hid her shape.
    Voice
    ▪ The young woman spoke with an accent mixed with Leutz and d’Ithanie, and her words were often spoken with haste. She loved to talk, and she loved to get as much conversation out of a person that she could. Every word was pronounced properly, and it was rare for her to abbreviate her words.
    Personality and Abilities
    To Strangers
    ▪ To those she did not consider close, Elly came across as a good, proper young woman who was reserved, though kind and compassionate when required of her. She was a speak when spoken to sort of young woman, who showed great obedience to her kin and those of higher standing. Her temperamental personality showed from time to time; it left her prone to sudden outbursts of defiance which resulted in a potential stain on her otherwise lady-like appearance.
    Feelings
    ▪ Overall, the young woman was unsure and confused. She was new to this, to everything, and she was not entirely convinced that she had the ability to do what was needed. Even after graduating her schooling, Elly was convinced that there were better people of her skill level, and perhaps that meant that she should simply not try. She was also concerned that her abilities were not what her kin needed or even wanted… so how would they react to her if she was of no use to them?
    To Loved Ones
    ▪ Still obedient and dedicated, though still temperamental, Elly comes across to her family and friends as a loving person who wants nothing more than to make them happy. Should they know her very well, they saw a woman who was willing to bend over backwards to see them smile, to see their wants fulfilled. Her temperament however was also more likely to alter. With the woman being more comfortable around her close ones, she was less likely to force herself to remain civil and bearable. To lovers, she feared that they would add to her confusion in life, and has such avoided romance so far.
    Morality
    ▪ A woman who follows laws and etiquette and obides by any rules, Elly is undeniably lawful and good, just in every which way. This mentality is down to her education, her beliefs, and the code she has to follow as instilled by her schooling. She was quick to turn in those who break the law, and with her charitable nature, she was also willing to help those in need.
“▪Honor is the highest virtue. Do not cheat, commit adultery, engage in dishonorable conduct, raise a weapon against the weak, old, poor or sick.

▪Obedience to the Order is paramount. Do not speak ill of the Elders, the Code of Ehren, or the policies set by the Primae of the Order.

▪To turn the other cheek is the highest class. Do not strike back with vile words, do not demean, and do not belittle others.

▪To engage in self-effacement is the true sacrifice. Take no glory for one’s actions, seek no affirmation or pedestal, and reject all that is gold and silver.

▪Fraternity is the colossus of the Order. Speak frankly and honestly with your fellow knights and show no restraint in your feelings.”
    Worldview
    ▪ The young woman felt blessed to be where she was, to be part of such a loving, compassionate family. She felt honored to be within Regalia and felt compelled to ensure that every moment she spent within the capital was a good one. Elly was a devout unionist who blessed the spirit as often as needed, one who visited church to pay her respects and, she displayed her love for the spirit through charity and community work, as well as her plans to serve the empires military.
    Weaknesses
    Germaphobe,
    ▪ At a point in her childhood, Elly had found a dislike for touching things other people already had. She washed her hands after every instance, and shied away from those who might potentially be ill. She wore gloves to avoid touching people, and should someone try to remove them, all hell broke loose.
    Partially sighted (right eye blindness),
    ▪ This was something that had simply happened. There was no known cause, and to Elly it was simply the norm. She had not ever seen with both eyes; if she had, she had been too young to recall. She had adapted well in age, but it left her with a lack of peripheral vision.
    Temperamental,
    ▪ It had not been uncommon for Elly to be told that she was temperamental. Her moods often changed without warning and the once lovely woman could simply snap, to be fine again shortly after. She herself hardly noticed it, it was just how she had been through her teen years, and she had failed to grow out of it.
    Personality and Abilities (Expansion)

    Quirks
    Collector of shiny things,
    ▪ A curious habit the woman had acquired as she became older. It had began mid education, when she found a love for decorating her uniform as per the schools instruction and had since fell in love with all things shiny. Not just jewels but polished pebbles and broken old objects that twinkled.
    Twiddles her hair,
    ▪ Whilst idle especially, the woman was often seen twiddling her hair around her finger. Loose strands always fell victim.
Often skips food when she is stressed.
    ▪ A dangerous habit the woman had picked up whilst surrounded by her peers in education. She had fallen into the habit of refusing to eat for a good while whilst under stress.
    Skills
    Flower Arranging,
    ▪ A skill taught to her by her mother, Elly loved to sit besides a collection of flowers, and loved to build together stunning arrangements. They didn’t need to serve a purpose; flowers were beautiful regardless.
    Calligraphy,
    ▪ Partially taught by her mother though her education was also partially to blame, Elly took great pride in her handwriting. Her general cursive was neat enough but, when she had an excuse, the woman loved to put in time and care to writing out beautiful lettering.
    Likes
    Small-talk,
    ▪ Elly LOVED to talk. Loved to chat about everything and anything. It didn’t need to have a purpose, she simply enjoyed conversing. She could speak to anyone of any race, about any subject whether she knew it or not.
    Sweet Wines,
    ▪ A proper drink for a proper lady, Elly called it. She adored a sweet wine, especially something red. It had been the first alcoholic drink she had sampled, back when she was under her mother's care. She had been scolded for it, but once older, it became her regular choice when able.
    Literature,
    ▪ A good book was something she could not ever turn down. Be it fiction or nonfiction, as long as the subject was one the woman enjoyed, she could sit and read for hours. Oddly enough, it was rare to see the woman reading whilst out in public. She saw it somewhat rude.
    Dislikes
    Drunkards,
    ▪ One did not need to become drunk when they drank alcohol, is what the young woman believed. It left a man or indeed a lady looking unruly and improper, certainly not a sight that was worth looking at. She found drunks to be quite dangerous and unpredictable, and that was not a good feeling to have.
    Unkempt hair,
    ▪ Elly believed that every man, woman and child should care deeply about their appearance, as it was the first thing to note when meeting someone new. That being said, clothing was very hid and miss. Some people could not afford fancy dresses and such, she did not criticize. However, a man or woman who she met with untidy, unclean hair just.. Was not someone high on her socializing list.
    Foul Language,
    ▪ Of course as a young woman, it was likely that she had swore foul at some point in time. No one was perfect. But as she had aged and matured, Elly sought fit to abandon those words; she wished not to insult anyone with them. This meant that she had no love for those who did swear, especially when they had no reason to at all.
    Favourites
    Food: Lemons,
    Drink: Red Wine,
    Colour: Gold,
    Season: Summer,
    Flower: Axford Maiden.
    Relationships
    [IMG]

    Ernesta d’Vaud,
    ▪ Almost a sister to the young woman. The two had visited often as children and had often wrote to one another. Ernesta was the reason for Ellys visit to Regalia.

    “My Dearest Ernesta,
Dear cousin, it has been a short while since we wrote last. How are you? How is the family? I miss you so very dearly though- this letter comes with some cheery news!

I have recently concluded my studies and look for my next adventure! I have thought of heading towards the capital, to see you all. I do hope that is fine!

I look forward to seeing you all!

    With love,
    Elly.”

    Abelhard Rote,
    ▪ After an amission from a certain gentleman, Elly found she was unsure of how to act around the north man. She worried that she would insult him if she used the wrong term of phrase, or upset him if she did not show the correct amount of interest though, it was not neccessarily something she wanted to do. She felt as though she was treading on eggshells.

"How can a man be so against being a friend?"
    Phaden Howlester,
    ▪ Elly was finding quite the friend within the young Howlester, despite his lack of enthusiasm. He was withdrawn almost, unwilling to share thoughts and feelings with her though, after a surprise gift and a gentle smile, Elly felt he was finally beginning to warm.

    "When life gives you lemons..."
    Gustavo d'Goss,
A man with a beautiful way with words and a keen sense with a sword, Elly simply found herself wishing to get to know more of the d'Goss.

"There is more to you than what I know. Tell me more."

    Life Story

    ► A Loving Family ◁

Eleanore Abigail d’Vaud. Born 29th August in the year 285 to Jessamine d’Vaud nee d’Alierie and Ricard d’Vaud.

Despite the age of Eleanores parents, them being only sixteen and seventeen at the time of her birth, the baby girl was brought into a world of love and happiness. Her parents sacrificed their younger years for her, devoted their lives to their daughter at the moment she was born.

Her parents had fallen pregnant whilst engaged, though had quickly married to try and cover up that fact. It had not worked entirely, their families were very much aware, and many family members had scorned them for their choice. But all that mattered to the couple was that their baby had been born healthy, and that they had the finances to support her.

She was born in Brissaud, surrounded by more of the d’Vaud kin, as well as those of her mothers maiden family. Eleanore was blessed with an environment rich with love and nurturing.

Jessamine worked hard with her daughter, taking up the role as housewife and mother as though it was second nature. Richard earned his families support through work in a lumberyard.

Happy years passed as Eleanore learned to walk and to crawl, but at the age of three her mother noted her lack of balance, and the young girl seemed oddly unawares of her surroundings when it came to her right hand side. After a few tests from a local doctor, he concluded that Elly lacked vision in her right eye. It was not scarred or clouded, and the doctor could not entirely explain it. Nonetheless, the young girl grew on and adapted in leaps and bounds.

❀ Born to young parents. Her mother only sixteen and her father seventeen.
    ❀ Born in midland Brissaud.
❀ Mother took charge of raising elly.
❀ Parents were close; good strong parental unit.
❀ Aged around three it was noted her lack of balance and peripheral vision. Local doctor concluded a lack of vision.
❀ The young girl adapted well; to her it was nothing different.

    ► Time to Grow ◁
Being an only child meant that bother her mother and father had the time to share with the growing girl.

Elly often found herself torn between activities; she took stitching lessons from her mother and combat lessons from her father.

At the age of seven, Eleanore began wearing gloves. Not just for certain occasions but for every occasion. When questioned, Elly revealed that she was frightened of dirtying herself. Of getting filthy hands. Jessamine thought not much of it, and assumed her young girl would simply grow out of the strange habit.

To further confuse the young woman, her mother introduced her to yet more hobbies and potential interests; Music and flower arranging. Jessamine wished to raise the perfect young woman, a woman who would be able to offer all sorts of skills to her household once she had a family of her own. She wanted to ensure that Elly would always have something to do, something to focus on.

This did however, only really aid in the child becoming more and more confused, more stressed, and more frustrated. She did not have enough time in her day to focus on so many little things, and she did not know how to properly plan and juggle these hobbies.

❀ Mother raised her on sewing and weaving, but she took lessons in combat from her father.
❀ Her mother noted the young girls constant want to keep her hands clean, though she thought little of it.
❀ Mother tried to introduce her to new hobbies; music and flower arranging.

► Into the Big Wide World ◁

At the age of ten, Eleanore was faced with a choice.

Her mother and father had argued for some time now on which school would be more suited for their daughter. All sorts had been thrown about and, in the end, Jessamine and Ricard came to Eleanore with a shortened list.

Out of them all, Eleanore decided that the best way to serve her family was to follow the majority of her kin into the military.

She chose the School of Matrais. A female only, knightly school which would raise her on a strict code. Excited, Eleanore packed her bags ahead of time.

The school taught her not only combat but womanly studies as well. It helped her further her stitching profession, and in what free time she did have, Eleanore dabbled further in music, with flowers and so on.

In combat, she was forced to focus on the greatsword. Something which she trained physically for each day. She had to adapt quickly, factoring in her lack of sight. It was difficult, and it often made her rethink her choices.

Voices often echoed in her head, her thoughts and doubts told her to give in, to stop.

    But, she soldiered on.

❀ An argument between her parents resulted in her being given a choice of schooling. She chose Matrais.
❀ Shipped off to Regalia, she took with her her pastimes and skills.
❀ Developed her tailoring and music skills in what free time she had.
❀ Focused on greatsword for combat. Had to work hard to combat the lack of sight she had.

    ► No Turning Back ◁

The young womans education passed like a breeze. Elly barely noticed the ten years pass.

Throughout those years she had made friends and enemies. She had won battles and lost them but, overall, she was very proud of her achievements,

Eleanore had stayed in close contact with her mother back home, and for her sixteenth birthday, the d’Vaud received a beautiful violin.

The remainder of her years were uneventful, and full of hard work.

Closer and closer did the time to leave her studies become. Elly found herself torn. On one hand she would love to head home to her parents, but being there offered her nothing in ways of progression.

Instead she turned to Regalia and to her kin. She sent forwards a letter to her cousin Ernesta, whom she knew resided within the capital alongside their patriarch.

Eleanore did not wait for a reply and instead, soon after she sent the letter and once her studies were concluded, she set off towards the capital, to rekindle with her kin.

❀ Stayed in regular contact with her parents.
❀ Stayed obedient to the code she was taught, and graduated.
❀ Contacted her close cousin, Ernesta, before she put a new plan into action. Made a new start on an adventure.
❀ With blessings from her parents, she headed off towards the capital.
    ► Regalia ◁

❀ Eleanore met various peoples; Abelhard, Gustavo, Phaden. She made friends and likely some enemies much to her dismay.
❀ With the new military movement, Elly threw herself into serving the Empire. She led re-enforcements to aid in stabalizing the front, and she aided in creating a design to further aid the war efforts.
❀ She took over joint maintinance of the Azure Premise on her cousins departure from the family, and now ran it alongside Ernesta.
❀ Elly joined the Guiding Eye order to work alongside Father Aelfric Harhold, as well as the Helerian guards.
❀ Ellys surname now changed to Von Rahm, with a long overdue family overhaul.
