• Inventory Split Incoming

    MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

    Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

    Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

Sihndar as a race have suffered from a sad case of niche disturbance for a while. For the longest time, anti-aberrant forces got new trinkets and tools, and the Sihndar got some sort of bandaid update in an attempt to make them more modern, but it just kind of felt like tacky tools were packed onto their kit without actually sitting down and re-working the core concepts of their racial design. This update set out to do just that, liberating the Sihndar from their strict anti-fun lore, as well as giving them more unique function in day to day rp. Phantasma were shifted to anti-Mage/Sorcerer, Sihndar are now the strict and only anti-Werebeast/Vampire. The changes are as followed:

  • Sihndar now have a set range of colors in terms of skin tones to choose from, instead of just vague terms. An actual image is provided as aid, while the color ranges have also increased to include lighter tones.
  • Sihndar now have more hair color variety.
  • Sihndar now have regional sub-races sort of. Provides a bit more cultural flair.
  • Sinndar now also have the Altalar aging mechanics including age-appearance switching, but stick to 300 year max.
  • Sihndar now have a wider range of personality possibilities, encoded into the Tribes for more player flexibility.
  • Sihndar Racial abilities were completely reworked
    • Lordings and Archons were removed from lore
    • Instead, all Sihndar are immune to Werebeast + Vampire + Greater Werebeast & Vampire Spells.
    • All Sihndar are immune to Ritualism Spells, but can manifest Void & Exist mutations on their own.
    • All Sihndar can Race Transform into a Dryder. This is no longer a Beast Shift, so it can no longer be countered or hijacked.
    • Sihndar can recruit other races into theor society through the Embrace of Tainting, which gives them also the eggplant aesthetic, purges their own Racial Abilities, and gives Sihndar Racial abilities to them.
    • Sihndar who all follow a different cultural "job" gain an additional Racial Spell that they can use to benefit their own niche.
  • Sihndar history remains largely the same.
  • Sihndar mentality has become less GUNHO AND KILL ALL ABERRANTS and moved to become more flexible, allowing them to take more nuanced "cure over kill" and "ignore over kill" steps for Vampires and traitors respectively.
  • Sihndar politics remains the same.
  • Sihndar society and more specifically the Calling/Cause that they all fight for (a cleansed Drowda) now has a ton more functional flexibility so all Sihndar aren't forced to just be rambo warriors.
    • Markht are still rambo warriors
    • Anth are more bodyguard-type warriors
    • Eevth are diplomats and traders
    • Ovolh are entertainers and informants
    • Ganth are intellectuals and researchers
    • Ranth are inquisitors and enforcers
    • Nakh are traitors and pariahs
  • Some additional expansion to cultural information, but not super much. Just allowing for some more flexibility.
  • Fancy new Art
  • Sihndar can no longer be Vampires or Werebeast.
Players are not expected to need to change much, since the history was left largely in tact. Consider switching your character's Demand (purpose in life) however, beyond the whole "GRRR KILL ABERRANTS", and read up on the new Racial Abilities.
