Well, today in General chat, I felt like an old man. An old, Napoleon man. Memories of old things from Massivecraft's past flooded back to me. Here are a few I can think of:
Back in my day:
Back in my day:
- I remember when people were excited for the Maiar to come out. Everyone argued they would be OP and would need nerfed. Not. At. All.
- Dakkar were called Agni. Had to be changed, though, do to religious reference in Hinduism, I believe. The design was changed, though.
- Everyone complained that the new Naga race was OP and that Vespids were UP. No one liked to be poisoned by the Naga when fighting them.
- Diamond armour was limited to Premium members only. Thank Darduin for that change.
- Speacking of Darduin, he used to be called Moridon. And he didn't always exist. Used to be Mekiki too. Can't forget the Dwarven, Elven, and Orcish gods. Really old.
- We didn't have a fancy wiki like we do now. We had a book with a page on each race. Each race had three subraces. No other lore really existed, and almost everyone made up whatever they wanted to except for a few people. The old wiki even had angels and werewolves on it.
- Only humans used to be able to become Vampires. Everyone wished the elves and dwarves could had become them too.
- Silveredge used to be the capital. You needed to go the Silverwind to go to other continents. I still know my way around town in the Silvers.
- People made up their own races and monsters on the spot. Once, I was with a Crimson guard who turned into a werewolf and ripped a vampire's arms off. No one cared that he god rp'd it. He just did it, and people rp'd it out like it was normal. Still have my character from back when I first started rping. Oldor is still alive and kicking. His back-story hasn't changed much. Only some tweaking and fine-tuning to better it.
- The Pravden were hyped up by a lot of my friends. A rat race that lived in an anti-Regalia far underneath the real one. It was going to be trashed and in ruins. Only as tall as a dwarf, these people believed they were human and lived in the real Regalia. They never saw the light of day, but I assume they were reworked into the Q'uerebo. Still wish I could see an anti-Regalia deep beneath the real one. They would have been awesome to see, and I would've made one in a second. Oh well...
- I remember when Silveredge was taken over by Baver. The huge obsidian pillars everywhere. I remember the Sword of Light. I even found it once by sneaking into a bush and looking down through the ground. There it was in pixel-art. It was supposed to be the only weapon capable of defeating Baver.
