Appearance.
- The Maraya stands at average height, with a slender build that reflects years of sedentary, scholarly living. Their hair is a bone white and they tend towards long, braided styles.
- Elmyra Rhallientha was born thousands, if not tens of thousands of years ago, a mere child when their people made the desperate decision to slumber. Despite being a mage, their parents were able to smuggle them into the Vault, leaving them alone, but alive.
- And so they slept. They awoke to a radically changed world, their sanctuary having opened itself in error. Local inhabitants infiltrate, eventually being repelled by the other waking Maraya, but not before stealing away armfuls of still-sleepers, and technology they didn't understand.
- Raised by these infiltrants, Elmyra received a mostly normal childhood, their magical prowess nurtured by these mages. They yearned to learn more of their people, of which they only knew from the plunder from the vault.
- When tragedy struck, they left home to discover the greater world, and reconnect with the other Maraya that might exist there.
- The scholar journeyed to Regalia to continue their documentation, and to seek understanding of the arcane forces that seep through the city.
