The first rescue attempt committed was that by Geoff Thomas Wellers, to save Cassius Paloin. Geoff made his way to where Cassius was held imprisoned, who at this point felt he was already all but abandoned by the state. Geoff covered himself in mud, hoping this would hide his complexion, though if anything it just made him look silly. He used a grappling hook to scale up the wall, somehow by Emperor’s grace avoiding being detected by the loud clacking noises made by the grappling hook. Once inside, Geoff failed to break out Cassius because he did not get the keys to the cell from anywhere. The cell could not be opened. While he attempted to break out Cassius, he was discovered by a patrol, which quickly sounded the alarm and engaged Geoff in combat. Geoff was clearly outmatched with his banditry fighting by the professional troops of the Qadir, and received a cut on his leg. The Qadir eventually surrounded him, forcing him to surrender. Geoff was thus captured by the Qadir and thrown in the same prison as Cassius. (Any future rescue attempt on Cassius will result in a release for Geoff as well and vice versa) The second rescue attempt committed was that by Damian Teach, Chalden the Tigran, Crual-lassa, Kojo Afolabi and Ricardo Smith, to attempt to save Christopher Black. The group made their way to the castle on Damian Teach’s vessel, before sneaking to the walls. Despite the increased military presence in the prison Christopher was held (due to him being noble), they were not discovered and their plan went ahead with Ricardo attempting to scale the walls. Unfortunately, despite being a professional parkour runner, Ricardo did not have the upper body strength required to pull himself up a bastion wall, and fell backwards off the wall, only for Chalden to catch him with his basket. Somehow the group managed to avoid discovery, but decided not to break off their attempt to search for another way in. An attack through the front gate was ruled out, and they quickly made their way through a pantry door behind the castle that Crual-lassar had scouted out with his ranger sight. Unfortunately, their break in attempt is quickly cut short by their discovery. Despite the agility and stealth of the group, Chalden’s hair tufts eventually stick out from behind a stone wall, alerting the Qadir who quickly engage them in a fight. The group fights valiantly, though is eventually overpowered by the sheer number of enemy troops. Chalden and Kojo slay many Qadir, Chalden in particular, though the battle goes less fortunate for others. Damian Teach is cut on the arm by a Qadir scimitar, falling back, while Ricardo is cut on the leg. Worst of all hit is Crual-lassar, who receives a full impact mace to the head, knocking him out cold with a severe concussion, a cracked skull and blood pouring everywhere. Chalden quickly grabs the now unconscious Crual’lassar and deposits him into the basket on his back, a tool that effectively saved him as he would have otherwise been left behind. The Tigrans then discuss abandoning the Humans, but decide to stay and help them leave. The group is unable to break free before reinforcements arrive and they are forced to fight again. The Tigrans again decide to stand their ground, and the battle is won for the most part. The Tigrans then first manage to escape with the badly wounded Crual-lassar in Chalden’s basket, after which Ricardo Smith manages to limp out as well. Damian Teach is however caught by the Qadir horsemen who persue the group, and is thrown in the same prison as Christopher Black. (Any future rescue attempt on Christopher will result in a release for Damian as well and vice versa) The second rescue attempt on Christopher Black is committed by Eoin O Cionaoith. Eoin once again attempts to utilize his feline form to sneak into the castle, but is unfortunately detected by the guards who are still reeling from the first breakout attempt. Eoin is unable to defeat the guards in combat, becomes cornered and all hope seems lost. In that moment however, he reverts back to Human form, giving the Qadir pause as suddenly a naked man stands in front of them, but then he turns back to Feline form and rips the throats of all the stunned Qadir. Unfortunately, his luck leaves him once more, as he is unable to break free Christopher Black or Damian Teach despite having killed the guards. No further discovery is made on Eoin, he is able to simply slip out of the prison and run back to safety to avoid being chased like the other group was. The sun began to rise, shining through the only window which was barred closed as he was thrown into the cell. He groaned as he hit the ground. Rubbing his arm, he observed to the corner to notice Black leaning against the wall. "Is that what you call a rescue?," he jested. Sighing, "Got any rum?" Ricardo lied in his bed pondering about that failed attempt. What went wrong? He used to scale the entire regalian rooftops just fine. And then he realized... it's the wall, the freaking castle wall with no real place to take hold of. He slept with the thought burning his mind and in the morning he set onto a vigorous training on his upper body strength and vertical climbing affinity. Never again he shall make the same mistake.
Actually...that rescue attempt of ours went off about as perfectly as possible without succeeding. Cruallassar was fricken awesome! (Should have tried this himself) Cruallassar got severely wounded...but this means he now gets an amazing facial scar! That said...I hate rolls. That said...I hate rolls in many other situations in non-massivecraft things, whether they favor me or not, so I'm a bit biased. That said...the rolls were pretty accurate. Nice job Mon! Verdict: Ricardo, this was all your fault.

I know this is a little late, but I have to do this. The Failure Geoff slithered through the bloody grass, wiping his face in a thick layer of mud. He ran towards the dim-lit castle, his face now completely covered, though this made it a tad difficult to see. The first thought came to mind, I forgot a plan; time for plan Z. Geoff reached into his pack, rummaging around for a climbing-thingy, yes, he felt a self-made grappling hook. His dark green eyes trailed along the castle's defensive catwalks? Something seemed to shock his body, was it magic? No. It was the faint idea of scaling the wall. Each end of the grappling device had hooks, being crafted out of steel, iron, and whatever else he could find. Geoff lifted his shoulders in a 'who cares' fasion, shrugging. Immediately afterwords, he threw the grappling hook over the wall, luckily-- thankfully it caught on a stone. Bits and pieces of stone trickled down the side of the wall; sweat did the same thing upon his face. Geoff finally pulled himself up, scanning the area for any hostile guards, none. He now ran towards the nearest door, opening it will slight ease; more-so carefully. Still no one, weird. Geoff made his way down the set of stairs, sneaking past any guards whom would oppose him. His eyes finally caught something good, Cassius. Geoff then scrambled around the room to find a key for Cassius' cage. There was only one problem, he couldn't find it anywhere, and footsteps could be heard through the blood-stained room. "Oi! You!!" the guard barked at Geoff, his eyes glistening in rage. Geoff looked up from the current wood drawer he was bustling through, shutting his eyes for a brief moment; this isn't going to be good. He swiveled his head around for a look-sy, managing to locate an overwhelming group of guards. "Senor Guard-- Guards, we seem to be at a complete misunderstanding, really. So, can you vacate the area, immediately?" Geoff asked with a tad bit of confidence, though a bit of nervousness locked his thoughts. "Vacate-- Vacate the area? On who's authority-- You know what, get him!" the guard shouted, bomb-rushing Geoff with blades raised. Geoff sought to grab his broadsword, but he was way-- way too late. One of the guards slashed his leg, and the others tackled him. "How great, I'm now trapped here, with the guards, other people, and Cassius," he thought in utter disdain.
