    • Position | Spurred by the hope of finding his rehabilitating companion again, he left his homeland, harboring those intentions with him before venturing off towards the Holy City of Regalia - persevering through its varying hardships for the years to come. Residing within the city’s quieter districts, he’s gotten accustomed to these humbler means - Continuing to apply his martial skill within the lawful professions he’s undergone, proving to do so in providence towards the Castle’s teachings. Though the original intent for his arrival has long been fulfilled, he finds himself unable to leave, solely for those that he met along the way.

Archan Ailor cannot be swayed from their faith or be converted, and will hold onto their belief in the Spirit and the Emperor until their dying breath.

    Union Blessings

    Call of the Union ❂ | Constant

    "A sacred pact, one called upon by the Spirit must adhere by - The Call of the Union."
    1 | Archan Ailor can inscribe, engrave, tattoo, write, speak and draw the Sanktist holy scripture on any surface. This scripture will start to glow with a golden glow when within Emote Distance of an Archan using any Blessings, or on command from any Archan.
    2 | Archan Ailor can cause an Eye of Union to appear behind their head on a vertical axis that shines with a golden glow, illuminating their head from behind. This can be turned on and off at will.
    3 | Archan Ailor can cast an Orb of Light at the tip of their weapon, a stave or a wand, which will illuminate the direct area of 5 blocks around them. This will not work against Ability based Darkness, and lasts only for up to 30 minutes, but can be cast an infinite amount of times.
    4 | Archan Ailor are immune to Vampirism, Werebeastism, upon dying do not become Undead or Archblood, cannot become Dragon Warriors, cannot use or wield Artifacts besides Unionist Artifacts and cannot learn any other Sorcery or Ritualism Proficiency Category Abilities or become any other form of Aberrancy.

    I ⋅ Blessings of the Protector ❂ | Sorcery Spell

    "To ward thyself, or those protected, against the intangible and the corrupt."
    The Blessings of the Protector allows the Archan to strike a Unionist hand gesture in front of their chest, causing a golden glow to radiate out from their hand to cover their body while they speak the Blessings of the Protector incantation. After placing this ward, the Archan is protected from the first single Ability used against them, not including Channel-based Abilities. This Ability can only be used once every 10 minutes, and can only be used on the Archan themselves, or other Archan (even if they do not have this Ability).

    II ⋅ Blessings of the Avenger ❂ | Sorcery Spell

    "To avenge thyself against the sin-ridden masses, or yet, to prevent another’s fall."
    The Blessings of the Avenger allows the Archan to declare the accusing incantation, and point their index and middle finger straight at a person in a hand gesture. This causes a holy light to burst from their fingertips in the direction of the target, causing a Holy light blast on the target. Damage of this light blast is proportional to how badly wounded the caster is. If the caster is in perfect health and has taken barely a few scratches and bruises, the target is knocked off their feet, but can recover quickly. If the caster has been stabbed and sliced a couple of times and is bleeding, the blast will not only knock the person off their feet, but also suffer intense burning pain all over their body for a short period of time. Finally, if the caster is near-death or near-collapse, the ability causes an instant-knock out effect on the target that causes them to fall unconscious. There is one caveat to this ability: The damage inflicted on the caster must be inflicted by the target. If the caster uses this ability on a random passer-by while another person inflicted the damage on them, then this Ability will do the equivalent of the caster being in perfect health on the passer-by. This Ability can only be used once a day.

    III ⋅ Blessings of the Lord ❂ | Sorcery Spell

    "The power of the Hero-King; A noble Lord's embellished shield, to knock thy foes asunder."
    This Ability can only be used when wielding a shield of any size. Blessings of the Lord allows an Archan to use a shield to cause a radiating blast to emanate from the shield towards whatever the shield is aimed at. If the shield is aimed at a person or group of people, the blast reaches up to 6 blocks away in a 5 block wide funnel, that knocks all those within that range off their feet. If aimed at an object or group of objects, it will propel them forward at non-lethal speeds. If aimed at a regular Regalian Housing door or inner estate door (thus not the front door), it will eject the door off the hinges and sear the door portal, while also producing a very loud bang. This Ability can only be used once every 15 minutes, though using it on a door does not put it on cooldown. For each door ejected however, one traditional piece of evidence is left behind according to the Burglary rules for the Criminal Proficiencies.

    IV ⋅ Blessings of the Revered ❂ | Sorcery Spell

    "March onward faithful servant, and lend your power to the healing and prosperity of those amidst you - Become the one they revere."
    Blessings of the Revered allows the Archan, coupled with some incense and holy texts, to exorcise any form of Possession that requires an Exorcism mechanic to be removed. This takes roughly 10 minutes and is excruciatingly unpleasant for the target, which must also be restrained and immobilized somehow. Having the target move from their location once commenced will halt the Exorcism requiring it to start over from the beginning. If the Archan is moved, this Ability is also interrupted.

      • Often, any feelings of contentment he may show are usually seen in a reserved yet genuine nature, especially whenever faced with his respective duties. When surrounded by those closer to him however, this respectful demeanor slips almost immediately - Shifting to a sharper, more lighthearted stature - offering respective cues in the form of subtle grins and smiles.

      • The dependence on those around Zelgius matter greatly to his view on any given fear; Whether it be of foolish pride or impregnable valiance - Whenever in the face of fear, he’s quick to refute from showing any signs of distress or terror when he’s accompanied - sparing the occasional, widened glance or the wary, tensing of his frame, yet forcing himself to lock in place nonetheless. Due to haunting experiences, Zelgius will always push himself further to aid those in need, casting aside any thought of self-preservation no matter the circumstance. When alone, this mentality tends to remain as well; Masking any sign of fear, if only to retain his pride.

      • Stress is always at the forefront of his mind, and it’s natural, almost instinctive for him to deal with the source as soon as he can due to a perfectionist mindset. If the cause isn’t as readily curable however, Zelgius tends to deal with these thoughts in a more lax approach - withdrawing from the source altogether by occupying his mind on other things, such as through hobbies, exchanging with others or heeding spiritual guidance. Whenever he’s stressed, hints of subtle absence can be seen from his general demeanor, as if he’s still dwelling on these thoughts and possible resolutions after attempting to escape them.

      • Zelgius’ belief-driven views on the law are often in a good, respecting, near admiring light - finding the concept of laws that properly guide a state and authoritative figures that strive to upkeep them, similar to his orderly faith, to be an absolute necessity - as long as they’re morally-grounded laws. If jurisdiction prevented him from coming to another’s aid, his moral compass might lead him to disregard the law - valuing another’s safety higher than what the State may decree.

      • Zelgius has always been impartial towards other races than his own; Having been associated with many of them over the years, it’d be rather hypocritical for him to state otherwise - And though he has had troubling, near vexing experiences with them, he never looks at them in a negative, demeaning sense of feeling the other is inferior, or even deficient because of it - rather, judging the actions they chose to make, not their kind.

      • Religion served as the centerpiece to Zelgius’ recovery upon the loss of his parents - Originally using it as a means to occupy his mind elsewhere, his inherent fascination with the Unionist Faith as well as the general principles he was taught have only transformed into a devout, long-lasting belief which, in his eyes, continues to prove itself truer through it’s Creeds and tenets - learning to rely on the faith immensely throughout his following endeavors and ordeals, while working to improving himself first, so that he may continue his work in good faith towards his spiritual teachings. Recognizable, yet simple phrases such as “Spirit Protect” have become so instinctual to him, that alone, serve as a subtle testament to the religious fervor he holds with the belief - And though other beliefs may circulate, finding them to be absolutely nonsensical and ruinous falsities, he still assumes a near pacific respect towards them when spoken about in general conversation.

      • Zelgius’ view on the Arcane realm remains at a conflicting standstill due to religion, as well as personal beliefs. Though believing with an inherent avidity that anything threatening to warp or change the law of reality is a corruptible sin, more often than not he’s seen the benefits of such, almost considered pagan, acts - specifically, in the form of medical practices and professions. In regards to the magical, he finds them to be like everything else that can prove disastrous if used in the wrong hands - a tool. As long as they continue to be used through those peaceful intentions, he refuses to intervene - Though if such, occultish practices prove to be of harm in any shape or form, he views this as a personal, almost religious offense; Opting to remove the issue as if it were an obligation.

      • Looking back to his childhood through doleful tones, the idea of family holds a dear place in his heart - One that deserves the utmost protection and preservation. Zelgius continues to show this same, benevolent reverence towards his uncle, as well as those he deems close enough to call family. Even upon conversation regarding familial topics, the subtle, wistful hint can be seen amidst his generally joyable expressions. Loyalty, and a relentless devotion are the traits he associates with family, wishing to defend those close enough to be titled such to make sure the same dreadful fall his own parents went through never happens again.

      • Though superfluous at first glance, as well as being one that often avoids flaunting aloud - at least, not without a sarcastic hint - his main source of confidence comes from his martial skill. Idolizing his uncle as both a hero, as well as a natural paragon when it came to swordsmanship, Zelgius grew up to believe that surpassing him would grant him the self-imposed mantle of a sword-master - And after he ventured back from war and bested his mentor in a duel, that childish sentimentality flooded back - trusting in himself now, to have mastered the weapon; Whenever he overcomes difficult battles and skirmishes, because of this, will tend to boost his pride - only furthering his interest and tempering of his proficiency thereafter.

      • While the intrinsic belief of reaching Everwatch holds close to his list of aspirations, the one motivation that drives his character to bettering himself, is the hope of putting enough work and dedication towards his professions, to not only garner a reputable name for his family, but to finally earn himself a momentary rest with the ones closest to him.       • The persistent, encapsulating thought of disloyalty troubles Zelgius to an almost insufferable degree - for if he depends on those around him with such fervor, those close turning on him would certainly prove to be his fall - and a similar occurrence has already proven to happen before. Due to these experiences, acts that might seem unimportant in themselves might appear distressing towards him, resulting in his mind retreating back to the consequences of placing too much trust in others; Retaining a near-reticent aura whenever speaking with others more intimately solely because of this insecurity.

      • Failure in saving another continues to haunt him with past recollections of witnessing a friend die to the hands of their foggy adversaries - reflecting an inseparable mount of fear whenever the possibility of it reoccurring stirs again. As a result, any view of self-worth whenever pitted in similar situations tends to vanish outright - preferring to stake his life in preventing another from being taken, even if his self-contradicting ideology will lead to his own downfall.

    Ever since a young age, having grown up within port-towns - Zelgius became quite the avid swimmer, acquiring the skill rather readily due to an eager interest towards the sport. Other varying skills would include dancing - which has become a silent, yet nonetheless important part in his life, as well as an intrinsic and courtly hobby of his - cooking - calling it a skill would be far more than it deserves; Serving only as a means of keeping himself fed - as well as playing the guitar, originally picking it up upon his time in Vixhall, learning himself how to tune and manage the instrument throughout his time there.

    Combat | Fostering an eagerness and apparent interest towards the art of swordsmanship since an early age, combat brings him to a state of exhilaration, finding the test between both martial skill and wit to be exciting in it of itself. However, regarding training, either with a close companion or himself, the opposite holds true; Calming to a peaceable and relaxed state, finding inherent enjoyment from the art.

    Zelgius’ father. Their relationship was strenuous, for his constant disappearances and absences disabled the pair from ever, fully establishing a proper connection. Feeling responsibility to keep to him after the death of his kin, he would be employed as the Valetta’s personal guard to aid in the man’s peculiar scheme.     ⋅ Childhood | 1-9

    During a harsh, frigid winter within the northern Lordship of Lorenthaus; Zelgius von Vernün Erenvohl was born an only child to a Leutz statesman and a Burdigalan seamstress, given the name "Zelgius" after a fictional knight back from his mother's home-town - carrying with him, many expectations as their firstborn. Descending from well means, the boy’s education progressed smoothly, learning the basics of his culture as well as the beginning concepts of Sancella Unionism, attending mass in accordance with his studies. He’d pick up on his native tongue quickly, as well as his mother’s dialect due to the ease and similarity between the two.
    Throughout his childhood, Zelgius’ relationship with his father began to dim - not necessarily tied to a distaste towards the figure, rather, being met with his father's constant disappearances and an absent nature led the young Erenvohl to grow unfamiliar with him. Instead, becoming closely affiliated with his mother - a gentler and benevolent soul, yet in the same vein, rather lax in relation to her Burdigalan blood.
    As his time within his homeland progressed, he found a deep and lasting admiration for his uncle, Giles d'Rœnne, who would occasionally come and visit to check on his sister and brother-in-law's well-being. A well-renowned Bloodcast knight around the varying villages of Vixhall, his strong sense of chivalry would ultimately be adopted by the awe-filled Zelgius upon their many encounters. Naturally, he would begin to look up to him, moved by his valiant and loyal demeanor - thinking of them as qualitative traits. His child-like fascination with knighthood began to prosper as the years gave way, learning all he could possibly ask from his uncle, which his father would ultimately notice.

    ⋅ Upbringing | 10-13

    In the following months, Zelgius found himself enthralled in the local sport of Leutz-fencing, which held of similar interest to his father - as the weeks progressed, his father taught him the very basics, which through that simple pastime, formed anew their dwindling relationship. The peaceful life of studies and mass had become almost customary to the young Erenvohl. Weeks after he turned ten, tragedy struck, as he soon came to find out through his distressed uncle that both his parents were assailed by a band of sellswords while at a ceremonial ball. Thoughtlessly, Giles would soon take the young, haunted boy back to his own home-town in the northern region of Vixhall, leaving Zelgius before seemingly disappearing for weeks - returning with no explanation.
    Zelgius did what he could to occupy his mind - finding himself helping around the village through laborious tasks; Carrying overladen bundles, tending to crops as well as gathering supplies - In the end, would meet him the appreciative and gentler notions of the Burdigalan people. To further keep his mind off the absence of his parents, the boy shakenly kept to his dwindling studies, dedicating what time he could to understanding their dialect completely while delving into Unionism to cope with the loss, learning to rely on it as his time within the village progressed. Not only did his relationship with his faith grow, but so did his respect and admiration for his uncle who soon became a father-like figure to the boy. Every evening thereafter, when Zelgius’ tasks were completed; The two of them would train and spar, for seemingly hours on occasion. The boy’s behaviors and mannerisms would soon begin to mold and imitate that of his uncle’s; His hair would naturally begin to grow long as the years gave way, and his physique would strengthen upon the repetition of his tasks. A strong sense of chivalry and charity rooting into his moral code. As the young Erenvohl continued in his daily ventures, talk of knightly tales would be commonplace throughout the village - even partaking in the local games and tourneys the people held along with his uncle.

    ⋅ Adolescence | 14-21

    Once Zelgius’ reached fourteen, the proposition of knighthood was presented to him by his uncle - retelling tales of venturing to the Castle before being knighted years past. The very idea of following uncle's footsteps excited him; Brightening once again, he enthusiastically took the offer. On November 29th, 287 AC, Zelgius, along with his uncle, ventured off towards Blücherwald Castle in hopes of attaining the Bloodcast’s mantle.
    Outfitted with a hard-working demeanor and an overall diligence to his training, Zelgius would breeze through the tests and trials, yet found some difficulty in the use of shields as well as managing the horses, finding the animal much more sporadic while the ‘plank of wood’ meaningless - yet still, he persevered; The school maturing and strengthening him into an able-bodied young man. Zelgius’ exchanges with the other Schilders fared well due to his humbler, Burdigalan-inspired mannerisms, acquainting himself with the variety of trainees, especially, a particular student by the name of Amonio, who had recently arrived at the Castle a couple years after. Due to their similar interests, the pair became fast friends, jesting with each other and upholding naive promises of adventure upon their graduation. Soon after, he'd find himself befriending another schilder throughout his training years, Maeiv. Accompanied with Amonio and Maiev, Zelgius enjoyed the rest of his training years.

    ⋅ Adulthood | 21-31

    After seven, diligently-spent years, Zelgius would finally obtain his crimson cape and was knighted shortly after. Coupled with the varying stacks of letters he'd sent to his uncle over the years, he’d quickly write another, detailing upon his successful graduation. Realizing that Amonio and Maiev were still fervently tending to their remaining studies however, he'd decide to remain at the Castle until the pair had finished; Using this time to help with their studies, as well as the other, training schilders. Once the trio had all completed their tutelage and made their farewells; Zelgius, accompanied by Amonio and Maiev, would venture off; Departing on a pilgrimage to explore the varying lands of Aloria for the following, three years, and to serve their arms to whomever needed it most.
    | 29 - June 8th-29th - November 9th 302 AC | Along their ventures, hearings of a Nelfin uprising caught the travelers' ears, soon finding themselves listing their names to serve their state however they could, thus beginning the Elven War of 302 AC. While leaving the repetitive skirmishes mostly unscathed, the mental toll on the three would become evident - leaving Zelgius to witness the war's aftermath on Daendroc. For the following months, the knightly trio would help the surrounding locals in any manner they could, hoping to ease any unrest, even after the surprisingly swift conclusion to the conflict. While Zelgius continued with his companions, unrest between two major empires would begin to stimulate until eventually surfacing into a global-wide scale within the Regalian Archipelago. On November 9th, 302 AC, the trio would lend their arms to combat the Songaskians in yet another war, witnessing the start of the First Songaskian War.
    The following months only proved to rise in difficulties - but in the end, the three persevered. While returning from their excruciating strife against the Masaya, Zelgius and Amonio would come out with their fair share of wounds - but they soon found out that Maeiv suffered much more from their skirmishes, having been dealt an injury to her eye that would leave her out of commission for the indefinite future. Hurriedly seeking aid for their companion, the pair would venture back to tend to her wounds, which would follow in the days after.
    During Maiev's rehabilitation, Zelgius and Amonio would hear of a concerning statue claiming to be Estel after it stormed through Torse. Zelgius realized the State's unsettling nature towards this unknown fiend, convincing Amonio before quickly making plans to leave the recovering Maiev back in her farm-town, venturing off towards the Curag Fields on August 20th, 303 AC, carrying the mindset that he'd tend to his companion properly once he fulfilled his obligations as a soldier.
    The misty day rushed by at a brisk pace - cutting down adversaries alongside his allies before catching a glimpse moments after - witnessing Amonio's death at the hands of the many Fogmen. Upon his demise, Zelgius broke, festering an abhorrent nature towards the monstrosities and their rigid leader as he pushed forth through a peculiar, yet scarred intensity. After the intensive battle came to its eventual conclusion, the Bloodcast properly buried his friend, being quick to burden himself with thoughts of guilt and regret. Upon hearing some call for an expedition to be held to hunt down the rest of these misty beasts, Zelgius jumped at the thought, until the Empire ultimately found the prospect unimportant, and discarded the idea.
    Zelgius ventured back to Vixhall as a war-hero, yet didn’t harbor any heroics or honor after the plaguing and debilitating thoughts of his ally's demise. After the much-anticipated arrival, he'd finally meet with his uncle after an intensive, sixteen years, detailing the various deeds he and his compatriots had gone through during their journeys, as well as the death of his friend. However, in a state of recollection, and guilt, Giles would reveal to Zelgius a long-forgotten truth - afterwards, explaining to him the fool’s errand that it was to blame oneself over that accident and depending on vengeance, but to work on recovery. Hearing his uncle’s words brought a seeming peace, although desperately minor, thanking his uncle before eventually challenging him for their final duel - bestowed to him as a reward, would be Giles’ own, war-torn blade. Leistung. Upon remembering his promise to properly tend to Maiev once the war was over, he’d begin thinking that she’d have surely returned back to Regalia; With a newfound purpose, he’d venture off towards the Holy City, waving back to his uncle, and his home, before heading off. Originally striving to find his lost companion, he’d meet a plethora of new faces as well as conflicts along the way.
    | 30-33 | Arriving back to Regalia, the Bloodcast would begin to make his mark in many, minor accomplishments, partaking in charity work until coming across a devout Synod Loyalist seeking the service of a bodyguard. Obliging, Zelgius would find himself venturing off to the militaristic, yet passionately Unionist region of Basta-Irvelle, serving as the Loyalist’s sword for the following years. His time spent in Basta-Irvelle wasn’t exclusive to that of a bodyguard however - devoting any time he found to exploring the state’s faithful institutions, attending a seminary school throughout his years before attuning his faith into a series of Blessings. Once arriving back to the city, he’d prove to serve his sword as the bodyguard to an old friend’s cousin, acquainting himself with many new faces throughout similar exchanges before his employer led himself into a ruinous state of greed, soon abandoning the aimless and pitiable man. Opting to continue in his line of work, he’d be hired as a house-guard upon one fateful day - affiliating himself with many more, before finally getting engaged to the woman he loved. The now defunct Noble House, rose troubling complications before collapsing onto itself - pursuing to upkeep his lawful demeanor and general lifestyle as a Violet Guard.

    | 33 | Served in the recent fronts against the Kathar, defending the life of a nobleman throughout the many conflicts. [The Dread War]
    | 33-34 | Continues his near peaceful life within Regalia and it's laws, rising in the ranks as a Crown Isle Warden before eventually bestowing the rank of Captain, delving himself into many opportunities and experiences.
    | 34 | Lost himself to a curse until, through the efforts of many, was returned back to his former self. His work continues to prove true even along these chaotic years, witnessing the fall of the Violet Order, transitioning to the Arcanum Order in its stead - finding familiar faces, as well as those once thought lost.

    He's finally been cured and is back to his Unionistic ways.
    Re-written any notion of him currently undergoing Sanguinism and have adjusted current abilities accordingly.
    Replaced the old "Unionist Rettism" and "Will of Faith" abilities to "Unionist Sanktism" and the newer "Will of Faith" having been recently re-written, adding them to their respective sections.
    Added "Inventory Information" and have kept it to it's own little spoiler.
    Swapped out "Shield Combat" for "Throwing Combat" as I figured that'd bring a more enjoyable twist to combat.

    Gave him the Archan lineage as well as adding more contextual flair to note his devoutly ways.
    In addition to this, with the removal of the Unionist Sanktist proficiency, I re-arranged his points to fit accordingly with the new changes, and added the description of each ability in the [Special Traits/Spells/Mutations] spoiler tab. Also wrote down which proficiencies I chose to raise their cap under [Skill Information].
    And finally, tweaked around with his inherent Culture and the application altogether to give him more depth.

    All of the major changes have been highlighted in yellow!

    It's FINALLY done.
    Readjusted Proficiency Points to accommodate the recent Proficiency System Overhaul, as well as implementing both Talent and Hobby points respectively. Frontline Command has been implemented into the later half of [Life Story] during his time spent in Basta-Irvelle- adding the "Blessings of the Protector" spell in the [Special Traits/Spells/Mutations].
    As well as finally completing the unnecessarily long time-sink that is Relationships within a tab.
