Childhood . Born January 3rd early in the year, Yvette was brought up in the vineyards of Ithania, only daughter of Thorian Wodenstaff, and a young Vauclain. The youngest of the family’s children, and distant as a cousin, to hide the fact she was born out of wedlock. Unsure, as Yvette grew older, of where she belonged within the family. A trait that would settle early, and later on point her out as odd. Always just a little out of place. In seeing this, Etiquette, language, and basic diversions amongst peerage were taught in hopes she would fall into her noble heritage with ease. Unfortunately, it armed her with things she eventually not know entirely how to present. Yvette passed through easily the ages where sickness typically claimed children, only to fall victim of illness at the age of eight. Bedbound for some months, the toll it took on her body so young left lasting weaknesses. Her immune system in shambles, the young Wodenstaff was kept indoors. Picking up languages more fluently, swimming her way through books and soaking up knowledge like a sponge. The spark, of hope in some cases, to learn the ways of medicine came about at the end of the struggle; and with it the want to heal.♚ . Adolescence . With the struggles of a weak defense against sickness, Yvette found solace in proving her worth in other ways. Idle competitions, trivia, even picking up musical talent in the free time she was stuck indoors. Until of course, the day came where she was of age, intelligence, and at last, health to venture beyond the estate gardens. Given the young noble woman’s interest and self-study in the works of medicine and working with wine like the rest of her family, the choice of schooling was clear. A journey to Regalia was made, putting all of the etiquette, and linguistic training of her childhood to the test. At long last, with proper and career building education underway, her health seemingly cooperative, ill-timed learning of her true status within nobility rose from its buried surface. The realization she was a bastard grew deep roots of worry within her. Settled over a short time, thankfully, by the meeting of a young nobleman.♚ . Adulthood . Soon to be a graduate of the Regalian School of Medicine, studies and friendships were swift to build. Yvette, or Eve as some close to her came to know her by, did largely settle into the education and name set before her. However, a war took hold of her inner thoughts as she watched various others work with a sword in hand to keep those of Regalia safe. She soon returned back home to the Vineyards and her family’s home in Ithania for a time to brush up on the family business. As she began to pick up with helping her younger half brother, Tavin, she soon found herself taking up more knowledge in wine along with the creation of food. Relations, particularly with the nobleman prior, progressed with strength. Confident, calm minded with a stubbornness about her to stride forward served her well. Well enough, even, to rise from courting the man, to marriage; a son they’d name Edvin to follow not long after. A safe return from a much-needed trip into Norrlan has been made. Regalia, the ever-changing beast it is, to Yvette, is merely another obstacle she must once again grow accustomed to. However, illness spread and she soon separated from her husband and returned home to the Vauclains.♚ . Present Day . In current days, she finally returned to Regalia at the request of her elder cousin, Darcie. Striking competition with the woman is an easy task, easier still if it’s something she’s particularly skilled at or knowledgeable of. She was extremely sick as a child. Unfortunately, the woman’s health started off with a dangerously shaky start. Throughout childhood, much of Yvette’s time was spent bedridden. Her favorite flowers are peonies. Though she may not tell you, her favorite flowers are Peonies. Something about them makes her linger in the gardens. If asked, most times she’ll simply say she was enjoying the fresh air. She is extremely attached to wanting to run her own clinic. After a childhood burdened by being bound to a sick bed, Yvette has always risen to provide a helping hand to those in need. For the longest time, she’s wanted to run her own clinic, the attachment to the idea is one she can’t shake. Uncommon Knowledge ( Not known unless explicitly told ICly by Yvette, or someone close to her ) A bastard child of two nobles. Yvette’s introduction to the world, unfortunately, was out of wedlock. It’s a part of her past she keeps on a very tight leash and has worked day and night to prove herself better than just a bastard’s daughter. She rode a dragon once. Most may not believe her, but Yvette once had the opportunity to ride a dragon. It’s the first thought that comes to mind for her when the question ‘What’s the most exciting thing…’ is asked. Once in a lifetime, it was, and Yvette wouldn’t trade the memory for anything. She never thought of fighting until her cousin started training to be a guard. Fighting was one of the farthest things from the young noble’s mind. It wasn’t until her cousin picked up training with the hopes of entering the guardship that she even considered it. She has a deep hatred of liars. There are few things the woman has any form of deep hatred for, though lying on any terms is a large target.
