Divisions
The Nordwald Rangers: Considered the most skilled of the Defenders, the Nordwald Rangers is focused on defending the borders of the March. Spending most of their time in the Drachenwald Forest, the Rangers prefer to watch their targets from the distance, only striking when the opportunity presents itself. Due to their wilderness focus, they do not have a main base of operations, and tend to dwell in minor forts around the Forest. Nordwald Rangers tend to prefer the School of Huntverk, School of Darkwald, and School of Rangers, though some members come from other stealth-based academies.
The Linvail Darkmarks: Considered the outlier of the Defenders, due to their disassociation from the House von Drachenburg. In times when extra manpower is required, or a job requires professional contractors, the March Lords may choose to hire these sellswords to complete their tasks, paying them well for their services. Since the Drachenwald Crisis, the contracting of Darkmarks has met much resistance, though the Linvail Keep still serves as a viable option to hire a few good men. Members of the Linvail Darkmarks are mostly from the School of Darkmark and other sellsword groups, and only serve the House von Drachenburg when under contract.
Additional Information
The Drachenwald Defenders is our attempt at the WIS to provide some noble-commoner roleplay with our family. House Guards provide an outlet for players to get into nobility, without having to follow every single noble rule actual family members have to follow. With WIS being released, there may be several opportunities for players to interact with the House von Drachenburg that were not available before, and We're excited to see how things can go first hand.
Some of the benefits we will offer:
- Frequent RP sessions during the week. I will commit to providing 4 roleplay opportunities for players during the week, and will actively engage you IC to give you meaning for your work.
- Priority slots in other roleplay groups. I might ask for you to serve with my characters in the Kathar was as part of a retinue, or even in an officer role if you meet the basic criteria.
- Opportunities for additional responsibilities. Perhaps you want to become the Palast/Junker of a noble, serving as their private bodyguard. Players that join us and show dedication can expect a promotion to this, or other leadership roles.
- A cool skin for a uniform. What's not to like about that?
- A friendly group of players to chat with. Sometimes we play other games outside of Minecraft, or just banter in the general chat.
