Adeline paced back and forth along the length of her room, the anticipation eating away at her as she awaited her cousin Ana. "Spirit, this is too much!" She exclaimed to herself, halting as she went to struggle her way into her stunning white gown - failing in this and falling flat over, to which a maid came in and helped her into the dress. The dress has been designed for the icy winter months - the silken gloves came high along her arms and he skirt puffed out about her hips, the gown's fabrics intricate, yet also apparent in their design for the weather. Adeline looked over to the mirror, smiling brightly at her own appearance - the maid returning behind her to style her hair. At this, Ana finally made her appearance, herself clothed in a lavish pale blue gown.
"Bonjour Adeline cheri, you look absolutely stunning. Are you excited for today?" Ana smiled over at Adeline - who turned to give a nervous glance over to Ana in response, her curled and elegant hair flowing down her back. Flowers adorned her hair, and along the back of her hair rested her veil; thin, transparent silk that settled idly behind her.
"I'm nervous… What if he thinks I look horrible and makes a run for the door before he's stuck with me?" She chuckled softly, albeit with a hint of nerve; one of her dainty, glove-adorned hands moving to settle over her lips as she did. "Adeline, you look incredibly - totally breathtaking like this. If Thomas does not see that, then you would not need him anyway. Or I would have to smack him with my fan." She retorted, responding with a chuckle herself.
The pair sat and made cheerful conversation, maids rushing about in their attempt to perfect the appearance of the bride. They swiftly finished, and Ana escorted the bride to be out of the estate "I suppose we don't have that long do we now?" Adeline questioned her cousin. "Non, we should leave to head to the church, I would think people have been gathering." Outside of the estate, a carriage sat awaiting the pair. Ana lifted the delicate veil over her face, Adeline's hands gripping at a bundle of Carnations she held within her hands, attempting to calm her nerve-wrecked self.
After some time spent travelling in the carriage, the pair finally made it to the church. Adeline took a deep breath, lifting herself up as she shuffled on out of the carriage. With a little bit of struggle, and an ensuing nudge, she manage to slip on out of the carriage, the wide skirts of her gown flowing around her. Her nerves peaked, clinging to the flower bunch within her hands - although it subsided as she looked up towards the small gathering of bridesmaids that stood aside. Her sisters, Nadia, Lydia and Ella - the latter two of who had returned to Regalia just for the wedding - as well as her close cousin Clara, and more distant cousin Roesia, as well as the young Hyacinthe - the flower girl, who was in awe at the entire event around her, wide-mouthed at the sight of the bride.
The little grouped conversed once more for a while, laughing and chatting, before the time was finally given for the bride to enter the church. Hyacinthe went in first, spreading petals along the carpeted route - followed by the train of bridesmaid, and the bride herself, arm-in-arm with Ana, giving her away as her matriarch.
At the rising music and the chattering sound from the guests, Thomas turned around to gaze upon his bride sweeping along, her poofy wedding gown gracefully gliding with her, the opaque shield of the veil resting over her face. The man spent quite a good amount of time taking in his soon-to-be wife as she grew ever closer. The blonde lady gave a beaming smile to her husband, her nerves sheltered by the veil over her face. Thomas returned the gesture, still wide-eyed in his gazing at Adeline. Reaching her husband and the Reverend von Bruhl before the altar, she gave a little dip of her head, lifting off her veil at that.
The pair would go through their rituals and vows - the Reverend von Bruhl drawing Unionist Eyes upon their foreheads in holy water, then the pair going to exchange their vows. Both were confident as they gave their 'I do's', and the gathering of families watched on in anticipation. Finally, the Reverend announced them to be husband and wife, and Thomas leaned in to kiss his new wife - held and romantic, to the jubilation and cheers of both families around. Adeline gave a giggle as she slipped back a step, before almost springing herself into a hug with her husband - all nerves faded in favour of the sheer happiness and ecstasy of the moment.
Hand in hand, the pair made their way out of the church and over to a fanciful and decorated carriage waiting outside. Both making their way inside, the married couple could not help but spend a further moment in one another's arms. "Thomas de Letoirneau.~" Adeline snickered over to him. "Hmph, it's quite alright. Our first child will get an Anglian name, of my choice.~" He chuckled in response, shuffling over to place a kiss upon her lips. "Children?! Spirit, not yet! I'm not prepared for childbirth!" Addie let out an exaggerated yell, a shocked expression gracing her features, while Thomas burst out laughing at that, replying shortly with a joke "Well jokes on you - you just married one." laughter spreading through the carriage as the pair headed to their ensuing afterparty.
