The two slowly developed a friendship and she, in time began to appreciate the nosy Nelfins existence. Eventually, she’d set off from Regalia on business she didn't inform Whitlock of and after she left Whitlock decided to leave too, in order to continue his Fire Magic training in Farah’deen before returning back to Regalia with Eirian however he has not seen Tabitha since she left. Eirianwen — Slave companion — @Erizu Whitlock first met Eirian whilst researching fire magic within Farah’deen, namely looking to find out more information on the hidden cold fire magic. Whilst in Farah’deen he spent a few months researching and taking notes on what little he could find, however, he did also take note of a rather mischievous young Isldar Hex mage by the name of Eirian. They’d meet in a market square whilst Eirian was in-transit, he’d taken note of her Isldar pale skin and recognized her easily but he also realised the uses he could make of such a magic wielding slave. To her knowledge, she was blindfolded as he paid for her, took her by her arm and walked away from the marketplace. Helfarme Orthamann — Best buddy to be (BBTB) — @Thaurdaer Whitlock had met Helfarme whilst looking for a place to relax after docking in Regalia’s port. The two spoke of Eirian and Helfarmes discomfort toward slavery which Whitlock was quick to point out. Whitlock also pointed out Helfarmes somewhat potent combat ability and with this quick perception of Helfarme, Helfarme became impressed. The only flaw in Whitlock seemingly being his slavery baggage: Eirian. The two met shortly after and became somewhat closer with Eirian’s disappearance after she’d run off. Daenalia Orthamann - The Fair Maiden of the Fair Maiden - @MourningDoves Whitlock had been in need of Helfarme one night but upon knocking on Helfarmes residence, he was quickly seen to by Dae, to which Whitlock asked "Where is my Fair Maiden!" in a thunderous cry. Dae, of course, thought that she was said maiden whilst in truth, it was Helfarme that had been given that nickname. Whitlock and Dae spoke quite easily with each other after she finally let him in, even allowing him to see the transformation into a spirit animal through the use of her magic after Whitlock had demonstrated his ability to wield Fire Magic... Or did it come before... I can't remember. The two left on good terms and he now considers her a wonderful friend and a unique companion for this list, just as Helfarme is :>. Margo Heinrich - Interesting friend - @_Maddie_123 Whitlock met Margo in the Gold Willow after approaching her about whether or not he could be seated opposite her, (because of the warm fire) and, after conversing for a while found themselves to be quite entertained by one another. Whitlock, however, upon closer inspection of her dress became flustered; unable to look upon her form for much longer, he stared into the fire where they resumed their conversation until Margo had to retire for the evening. Nicoletta - Annoying acqauintance - @ChayChay12345 Whitlock had met Nicoletta in the Gold Willow tavern just as he had quickly run up the stairs to, oddly enough, sit down. After discussing himself with Nicoletta and vice versa, it soon became apparent to Nicoletta that Whitlock was not the typical ale drinking man. In response to this, she flipped a coin to see who should drink three mugs of ale. Upon flipping the first coin it was Nicoletta who would drink yet Whitlock, being thirsty, dared her 'Double or nothing' with a fine grin on his face. The surprise would have Whitlock in his grasp once it landed on her yet again. Repeating himself once more, 'Double or nothing.' It became Whitlock's turn where we drank seven of twelve. After which, he was guided to the lake my Nicoletta and pushed in whilst drunk. Soon realising he was finding it to be a good time down there, she quickly jumped to his rescue. Since then they've become somewhat good friends as they shared their stories. Remei Amaya - Fellow Adventurer! - @Fillyjonk Whitlock first encountered Remei after he was pulled into using the Fong-co Adventure House by none other than Dr. Fong himself and, it was MK4 tier Adventure House, I'll have you know. But I digress... Whitlock was in need of a companion to join him on such a venture but, at the time, he was much lonesome and in light of this, the good Dr. Fong came to his aid to find a young woman to join him. After advertising for a few minutes, Dr. Fong managed to rope in Remei to assist Whitlock, after which they completed the Adventure House with smiles on their faces but also in the hope that they may meet again... Kaia Roven - Attacker turned close Friend! - @Zytus Whitlock had run into Kaia and her sister whilst in the tavern. Upon seeing him being associated with Nobility they thought him a good target for kidnapping, however, after using Hex magic and making use of physical force to tackle he was brought down but was left alone rather ominously after that. They must've realised to carry an unconscious man through Regalia may have been a bit suspish. After pursuing his attackers with the help of Helfarme Orthamann (@Thaurdaer ) the two came upon the poor district where they spotted Kaia in one of the poor district housing. Having realised it was his attacker, Whitlock pursued her alone whilst Helfarme stood guard over their lodgings but Whitlock would never have returned that night for he had chased her into the sewers. Landing on a woman is never great but falling onto your attacker to break your fall feels like perfect karma and upon landing Whitlock, being the man of intrigue that he is, asked the woman why she did these things and eventually found common ground, she apologised and they hugged and made up in the end. Carla Heinrich - Rebellious Protectee - @SofiaZombie Whitlock had met Carla after being assigned to her during his time as a House Guard for Niko Heinrich. On their first few meetings, Carla had been an utter nightmare... She was rude, unattentive and made it difficult to do his job. She made it difficult by running off and not paying attention to him which created an uneasy relationship between the two as she felt she did not need such protection and would have rather protected herself instead so wouldn't have the need for Whitlock or Helfarme to protect her. As time went on however they grew closer... A lot of time... On a scale of 1 to Time it was time. Whitlock finally realises a softer approach is far more suitable than an authoritative figure and is beginning to show signs of actually being able to maintain a friendship with her. Aedhlynn Leannain - Neutral Enemy - @Rhuyne Whitlock's relationship with Aedhlynn is certainly one of adversity but also of keen interest. He is well aware of her influence in the sewers and hopes to one day counteract it with his own. He is aware that they may, for a short time, consider each other friends. Clashing with her is not an option and is certainly not productive given their differing level of influence. The two currently don't get along well due to Whitlock's plans unfolding prematurely, causing it to spiral into a sort of darkness. Maybe they'll be friends one day but not too soon and he will never fully trust her with anything especially sensitive information. Bram Eversnow - A Light in the Darkness - @BrammekeH Whitlock first set eyes onto the individual after Arendan set off a flashbang, distorting his senses. He's uncertain as to why Bram has taken such a liking but appreciates his friendship nonetheless, hoping that Bram will see through his perhaps radical ways to trick his enemies when it seems like Whitlock is a villain at the same time. Reval'quess Draltar - Righteous Avanthar - @Shayin Having first met Reval'quess at the Coen castle, he spoke philosophically to the Avanthar which is where he discovered Reval'quess' more than capable mind, At Rothburg, Whitlock instantly took a liking to the Avanthar, regardless of their slow start. Whitlock could see that through what would seem harsh to others had a kind and hidden intent that was well hidden from the eyes of many. After falling out with Reval'quess he soon became friends yet again. Whitlock will defend his relationship with Reval'quess and hopes to do right by him in future, instead of setting their friendship back a notch. He's DETERMINED to let the friendship prosper. Henri Noel Coquard - Golden Bell - @Hutydan Although this 'friend' was met only within a short encounter, Whitlock thinks back to this tale at times of thought: being smart isn't always going to get you liked. Henri was an individual whom Whitlock felt held a bisexual nature and, as such is with the Ithanians, he decided to keep the fellow at an arm's length... This doesn't necessarily mean that he does not care for the man nor does it mean that he'd avoid future encounters but Whitlock simply does not desire that lifestyle. Still, though, as with all Whitlock's relationship's this held a rather intimate moment by which a 'Golden Bell' shall bring his mind to recall dear Henri. Nydral Lytheriel - Faithful Flame - @WaterDruppel Whitlock does not have many friends in the sewer that he trusts as faithfully as others... One of these few being the one I type about now: Nydral, whether it be teasing Whitlock for a laugh or simply being there as a friend to fall on, Nyd has earned Whitlock's trust. Their relationship isn't complicated by any means or held together by binding ties... Nyd was there in the sewer whenever Whitlock needed help, though, whenever he'd look up, he was never too far from reach. Despite these simple few occurrences, Nyd has seemed to stay more faithful to Whitlock than even those who'd fought at his side in the past. As such, Whitlock perceives this to be a mutual connection that'll last for a while yet, if not forever. Madeleine Amalao - The Chosen Sister - @Raeris Whitlock first met this blonde haired cutie during the time of the Poss. He was swiftly introduced and believed that their friendship would halt to a colleague-like level. Proven wrong, many-a-time, Whitlock has bestowed a significant level of trust onto Maddy... His feelings of her are warm and hopeful; her offering an ear to listen as well as to aid him in combat... If Whitlock were to choose a sister, it'd be Maddy. Jadex Aaron - The Spy who trusts Me - @Jadex224 Jadex kept his eye on Whitlock... Not even Whitlock knew why. Eventually, though, he gathered that Jadex was also the type who revelled in collecting information for later use. This interest sparked their initial conversation and lit the way for where they are today... Who will reign? Who cares, they're friends. Jannik Sinclair - The Noble Knight - @TutiDias Whitlock's relationship with this man always seemed to run quite smoothly. The two trading in conversations many a time and Jannik has tried his best to sway Whitlock onto the right path on a couple of occasions. 'Perhaps this was noble arrogance?' Whitlock thought to himself... This man, however has displayed his desired friendship for the Nelfin and is one of the few members of nobility that Whitlock can sit down and agree with, much like Marcel Banastre ( @BahDoctor ) who Whitlock very much enjoys the company of due to their more lenient style of life, when contrasted to those like William Coen and such. These two certainly are a pair... Maybe they should join powers? change is tied with unity, after all... Whether it be Marcel making jokes with Whitlock or Jannik being the adult, each have made their mark on Whitlock. Lorenzo Martinez - The Noble Criminal - @Silent_Ruler Whitlock first dealt with Lorenzo after the Nelfin had become a prominent member within the sewer when facing against Usque. The two worked with others in Unison and shared intelligence where it was relevant. From here, they somewhat learned to call on each other a little from time to time with Lorenzo barking wisdom toward the naive elf. As of late, during the entire Lo incident, Whitlock has been coerced to help Lorenzo... Whitlock learned to not judge people by what others think as views can be rather deluded from time to time. Besides... it's not as if the likes of William Coen could understand what Lorenzo and he planned to do for the sake of the sewer dwellers and surface alike... The Nelfin has considered Martinez for a while and can only come to conclude that he has more faith than most other nobles when it comes to tactics and strategies as well as earning a place in the Nelfin's own mind for the few similarities he shares with the nobleman. Who knows? The elf may have even been tempted to seek him out after the constant denial and suppression placed upon him by those at Kronau... Maybe Lorenzo was right. Santiago Martinez - Bearded Bag o' Comedy - @Kibaa Despite their somewhat short encounters, Santiago has never failed to surprise the Nelfin. Whitlock met the man by the Opiraz after being whipped on the Emperor's command, though it was by no means a happy greeting, considering Lorenzo, himself and Santiago were all wounded to an extent. His thoughts on Santiago? He has heart. He has the desire to do right by his family and regardless of how he approaches strangers... Whitlock doesn't blame him. When considering what life is to various people, when it comes to the Martinez, he knows all too well that they live to protect their family and thrive in the city. Freya Heinrich - The Dreadful Owl - @Ragnio Whitlock met Freya during his work as a bodyguard to Niko Heinrich. Initially, he put great trust into the woman and yet... He's noticed that she's grown colder. He's aware of his own blunt ways but Freya is arrogant to him, she acts as if all is possible and it annoys him to his core. It could be said that he views her as a rather harsh mother, though she still retains his trust. He hopes to have a better future with her, h he wishes that she never know about what transpired beneath Greygate. Spoiler: Treasured Possessions Possessions held dear from Regalia Avanthar Copper Bead Earned through his friendship with one Reval'quess Draltar (@Shayin), Whitlock carries it, remembering to stay courageous and true to the path of righteousness. Though Whitlock has become enshrouded by the sewer, he keeps the lessons learned by Reval'quess close to his heart. Coen Banner Finely ripped from the Fort Kronau walls, the Nelfin made this his own when he fashioned it into a hood and cloak both for warmth in the snow and as a memento of the Lo rising... Who can say how long he held onto this finely crafted fabric? Well, if ever it gets cold, he'll have the Coens to thank for warmth. Life Story Whitlock was raised in a port town in Daendroque, and became aware from an early age of magical curiosities. It began when he witnesseed a sorceror casting a spell of healing. The boy did not approach the fellow, in fear of what else the man could do, but the questions raised from the event grew ever more apparent in his mind. 'What was that? How did that happen? What kind of power was this?' filled his daily mind. Coming from a rather impoverished background, the Nelfin was not often entertained by concepts or magic, rather he spent his days working the pier to help support his family. But the sea, and the knowledge that stretched beyond it, called for him. It wasn't long before he was spouting nonsense of travelling the world, to his parents and siblings, who thought nothing of it. Instead they alluded to believe it was simply a fantasy of his, to believe in such things due to the simple life he'd been surrounded with up until then. But he would not be dissuaded. The Elf was determined to learn more, and once he'd earned enough money, set out to Farah'deen, figuring it must be much more different, considering the weaker grip of the Empire on it at the time. There, he studied all manner of things. He learned about artifacts, races, and more. He gradually picked up sword skills, once he recognised the dangers of the world. His teacher, a man from the outskirts of the city, was also an outcasted mage. He did not however divulge any magic to the boy, save for the knowledge he so persistently requested about the void and such things. It was at this time that a great many events of magical anomalies started to press upon Regalia, and in his quest for knowledge, the Nelfin made his way to the Crown Isle. Whitlock drunk with Nobility and Crime Lords alike. He learned much about how the city functioned, and the people who pulled the strings. He met Emperors, fought Vampires, and destroyed Greygate's Predacessor with the help of his friends, for reasons he later came to regret. He lived his dream of learning as much from the mysterious isle as he could. For his Sins, the Emperor's stand-in punished with the elf with execution, leaving Whitlock to take his knowledge to the grave.
Hey! I will be reviewing this character sheet! @Anseran Elaborate the tiniest bit about his hair. Dishevelled. Is it short? Long? He's arrogant, so I'm curious as to how he'd react to being insulted for being a halfbreed. Halfbreeds are heavily rejected by Elven societies, and Ailor too. How is he arrogant, taking this into account? Is he arrogant in most situations, or specific ones? Does he feel bad or small when approached about this? See if you can intertwine something more in there. Was there any reason he was behind Toriel? Did I miss it? Is it because he's a halfbreed? Might have to come back to this, apologies! It's my birthday so I'm a little busy as of this very moment, but I'll see if I can find anything else to comment on later tonight. A lovely application!
I am reviewing this sheet! Articulate is a strength, not a personality trait. Move it. Give me more specific examples on open mindedness. Are there boundaries? Would he consider possessed people to be evil? What about demons? Are all kleins filthy little buggers? Expand! So if there's a chance of death, he jumps in to a fight. That's not a pacifist then. Changed: - Given his father Altalar genes and heritage, resulting in an 3 / 4 Altalar genes for Whitlock and only 1 / 4 of Ailor. This would make him a full Altalar (Since 1 / 16 of a race doesn't exist and either you're in the middle or full something.) - Changed his race to Altalar as a result of the previous change. - Still, believes he's Half as he doesn't know of his father's heritage but could easily be pointed out as he does possess full Altalar ears as opposed to stubby half Nelfin ears.
He doesn't have access to magic at the moment x'D Antimagic and Magebane tea don't affect him. He didn't lie when he said he could reach Mage level in a month.~
@LumosJared I've changed his backstory to include, instead of being carried by his crew, his time in learning to captain the vessel for himself. Obviously needing a crew and such but he gained the information required to bark orders and control a ship, rather than sit idly by. Is this a strength? I feel that considering it's not going to come up often, that it isn't but it's your call.

I am bringing this application back under review because all three of these weaknesses are copout weaknesses. Since he is a mage, being physically weak and untrained in physical combat are givens. Being protective isn't a weakness because it paints him in a good light. So, I am going to have to ask you to replace these weaknesses before I can mark this as approved again. I apologize for any inconvenience.
May I keep Protective? he wanted to save Lorenzo and he ended up being tied to a pole by the resistance and forced to drink magebane tea before being hit a few times. Just saying, it applies in roleplay and messes him up at times.
@Aespair Are these sufficient? I believe it's obvious that he's physically weak but he's not so useless in terms of weapons anymore. That said, he doesn't carry a weapon, just received training in the past. Because of this, I focused more on personality-based weaknesses as that's where he seems to have found himself in heaps of trash.
Whitlock attempted launching a large fireball at oncoming cannon fire. He was injured for days OOC and then later collared due to being caught by the Deathling commander later in Regalia. It comes into play more than jumping in with a sword, trust me.
