Hello!
First I just want to say ikr, massive have amazing servers. But since all know. We have tps lag and spikes. reccently because of mojang tho. but before that. What is the source? any of the plugins that are making it? Is it something we can do? Or what is taking the TPS down so much?

@Cayorion

They amount of plugins on Massive probably cause lag, along with playermade lag machines, item frames, and the amount of player spots on the different servers

I think its all the item frames (as far as the market area goes). Otherwise its from being in areas with lots of people.

I'm going to be honest, these lag spikes are/were probably related to the construction of the new Marketplace & the running of the Summer Festival. With luck it'll go away now.

It have allways been tps lag before that aswell. But the spikes are new. but bad tps have been there along time now

The assumptions made on this thread are as of yet incorrect on the source of the TPS downpour.

The bad TPS is caused by the recent updates. Massive updated from 1.7.4 to 1.7.10, causing implementation of a whole bunch of updated plugins that have potential memory leaks. Cayorion will be doing profiling soon to start eliminating these TPS issues, but they are unrelated to the marketplace, the festival, the amount of plugins, the players or anything else that comes to mind.

The demon inside of the MassiveCraft slowly eating everybody's sou- uh, everybody's TPS.

Because milking on MC has started. Every single time game franchise goes and takes a step towards film industry, you know the change from increase to decresse in sales has happened.

Just bullying. But they really need address the API topic atleast.
