    Body Description

    • Warren is a physically fit individual, taking care to be appealing to the opposite gender with plenty of physical exercise, as well as a healthy eating habit. He stands 5 ft 8, weighing about 165 pounds.

    • Warren has a fairly standard skin as one would come to expect of a Coen, having the standard New Ceardian skin tone with a slight hint of Ithanian sun.

    • Warren has a stylish amount of body hair on his chest, stomach and arms, which he trims, but not shaves off completely. He’s sometimes even vain enough to comb it.
    Head Description

    • Warren has a typical Coen face, in that he has a fairly square jaw, large rounded nose and pronounced cheekbones. His eyebrows are fairly normal sized, sloped downwards, while his eyes are almost always half lidded, giving him a droopy expression.

    • Warren’s eye color is a strong blue, similar to his oldest brother.

    • Warren has a set of stylish mutton chops, as well as more facial hair lining his jawline, ending in a small goatee from his chin to his lower lip. Everything else is neatly shaven and meticulously trimmed.

    • Warren does not have any facial accessories.
    Clothing and Accessories

    • Warren often wears rich clothing of fine cloth and silks, lined with materials that one would often find only in nobility. The prevalent clothing colors are Coen purple and very dark gray.

    • Warren usually has a variety of necklaces and bracelets made of solid gold to show off his wealth. Most of these are self made.
    Behavior Information

    Personality Traits

    • Opinionated, Warren is always extremely opinionated about individuals, even the ones he has never met. Social standing and birthright say all about a person’s worth to Warren, meaning he will often be rude and demeaning to the lower classes. Similarly, he will try to suck up to, or get on the good side of richer classes and nobility.

    • Obsessive, Warren is extremely obsessive about his possessions, and possibly some he does not possess yet. His materialism mostly takes the form that he constantly desires more wealth, or ways to show it. This mostly formed due to his early exposure to signs of wealth, and how he was taught to think they are a sign of value in people.

    • Trendy, Warren always takes care to look his best, sometimes too much. He follows the latest Ithanian clothing trends for men and always tries to look fashionably up to date with the current hot topics.

    • Vindictive, Warren is extremely vindictive when he feels someone has wronged him. He will go to extreme lengths to get back at someone, often in much worse quantities than was actually inflicted on him.

    • Asocial, Warren was never very good with making friends in his youth, and he mostly kept to himself in his teenage years. This has caused him to be somewhat asocial, as he does not natively want to make any friends, and therefore sees no reason to be nice to people, aside from trying to get them to do things for him.

    • Loyal, despite Warren’s Asocial behavior, he is extremely loyal to the Coen family and will do what he feels is necessary to raise his family up, and consequently his own standing and wealth. If anyone actually manages to establish themselves as a valued individual in his eyes, he is also often very loyal to them.

    • Ambitious, Warren constantly craves for a higher social position and more wealth. This drive for ambition causes him to constantly look for new opportunities to make a fortune, be it house sales, art sales or shady deals.

    • Witty, Warren always has a comment or something to say to someone or a situation whenever they present themselves. Because he is so opinionated, he can quickly create a response or an insult for someone. They may not always make sense, but at least they are always meant to be hurtful.

    • Leisurely, Warren, despite his ambitions, is a very leisurely individual, taking pleasure in spending days lazing about or usually entertaining himself with a wide variety of drinking, courting, opera or theatre. This was largely caused by his lack of work in between crafts, as his goldsmithing usually took short bouts of workload and then large periods of rest.
    Likes

    • Both Gender, Warren is often seen chasing after bachelors, or in some cases married individuals of both genders. He doesn’t mind, he likes it both ways.

    • Gold, Warren is obsessed with gold, the color, the shine and the power it holds over people. He wishes to own as much of it as possible and will do much to get there.

    • Wines, Warren is a fine appreciator of Wines, and has made several investments in wine companies around Ithania and New Ceardia. His house often has a large stock of rare wines available which he will enjoy on an afternoon of doing absolutely nothing.

    • His Family, Warren is most comfortable around his family members, as they were his only real contact when he was younger. He is more at ease and talkative around his direct siblings.
    Dislikes

    • Melodrama, Warren himself is often a bit melodramatic, so he cannot stand it when others are doing the same. He wishes to be in the center of attention when something dramatic is going on, or simply tires of other people’s problems that he does not care for.

    • Labor, Warren’s occupation as Gold Smith has him mostly chipping away carefully or using the more crudely forged objects from his oldest brother and refining them. He grew up on low amounts of physical labor, and unless he directly sees an important gain from it, he will not engage in it.

    • Competition, Warren does not like any situation where he is in direct competition with someone else. He becomes anxious and desperately wants to win, which more than not causes him to actually fail due to self doubt.

    • Responsibilities, Warren often shirks from responsibilities, they cause him to be uncomfortable and he prefers the blissful existence of his leisurely entertainment, walking from whorehouse to theatre to art studio.
    Abilities and Disabilities

    Strengths

    • Talented Gold Smith, Warren can craft extremely well made gold or gem encrusted objects, some prized in higher noble circles and many would pay a fortune for them.

    • Quick Mind, Warren quickly figures things out, as long as he is in a calm and time free state of mind. This allows him to take quick decisions especially when it concerns making opinions of people.

    • Talented Fencer, Warren was trained early on in Dressolini Fencing. He won several young tournaments in Ithania and has continued to practice the fencing sport in his later years.
    Weaknesses

    • Blunt: Warren is not one to beat around and bush and will lay everything out in front of someone in detail. He dislikes people who are too afraid to say what they need. Warren will follow this unless it would lose him something.

    • Dissociative: Warren finds it problematic to distinguish the moods or intentions of people. This is often remedied by his opinionated nature, but in a way this nature is the result of his inability to measure up individuals.
    • Stubborn: Warren is not one to let go on something and if he wants something he will do what he needs to do to obtain it. Whether someone is trying to push him away he will keep coming back.
    • Weak Left Hand: After years and years of training Warren has excelled at fighting with his right hand but not his left hand so much. This makes it almost impossible for to use any kind of Bows or a sword and shield.
    • Faint Hearing: Warren can only faintly hear from his right ear while his left ear is still fine. During a Fencing contest Warren got overly cocky and attempted to not get hit and in turn took the weapon the side of his head.
    Combat Styles

Warren exclusively uses an offensive style of Dressolini fencing, attempting to dare the opponent to breaking the point rules of the disciplinary sport, as opposed to actually scoring points himself.

    Weapons of Choice

Warren’s weapon of choice is either a solid gold bar or a fencing sword.

    Relationships

    • William Coen: Very close when they were together but most of the time they were farther than he liked. Warren always spent the time he could with his older brother but it had always been cut short with all of William’s apprenticeships and battles he needed to take part in. His life of solitude always cut in parts when William was around, hanging out every little chance they could.

    • Milahme Coen: Milahme was always rather close to Warren but never as close as William was. Only hanging out when they were allowed to made his friendship with hers less memorable. They fought rarely and when they did it was over the most childish things.

    • Dianne Coen: Very far apart, Dianne and Warren were. Ever since he was 6 and she was born he has had a distaste for her. His life went from enjoyable and talkative to alone constantly and away from everything. Because when she was born, she took everyone away from him. He dislikes Dianne highly and will go up and out of his way to make a fool of her.

    Life Story

Warren was born on the 26th of March 272 AC in the city of Val Croix, the capital of the Merivingue Kingdom in Ithania. Warren was born to Nathan and Clarice Coen after a lengthy labor in the middle of the night. Warren was born in a relatively prosperous family, the Coen family had originated from Ceardia several generations back, flocking to Val Croix to benefit from the local mineral boom that started around the second century. The family had reached the upper middle class or even lower wealthy classes due to hard work in the mines first and the forges later. The Coen’s had made a name for themselves as skilled craftsmen, and their weapons and jewelry were much sought after among the nobility of Les Pays Royeux D’Ithanie. Despite the local Ithanian upbringing, the Coens strongly kept their Ceardian culture, endeavoring to use Ceardian tutors for their children in a Ceardian upbringing.

Warren similarly enjoyed this Ceardian upbringing, albeit a lonely one. His oldest brother William was already 12 at his birth, and no longer living at home. As was practical for young craftsmen, he entered a tutorship among the local smiths at the age of 10, and was no longer living at the Coen estate. His oldest sister Milahme was 5 years old at birth, he would mostly have her around in his early years. The first five years of Warren’s life were filled with the simple existence at the estate, playing around the gardens and gawking at his grandfather’s jewelry that the family prized in a series of display cases in the dining room. Warren would often spend hours staring at the intricately forged golden bracelets and the diamond laid in necklaces. Warren would often play with his sister when permitted, and his sister was mostly entrusted to his well being as his mother was out taking care of groceries or taking care of the house finances. His father was barely around due to the forging, and William only came home occasionally. Despite the lack of contact, William and Warren were often close when he did come home, William dearly appreciating the only brother he had in a household of women.

When Warren was 6 years old, his youngest sister Diane was born. Her birth was not a pleasant situation for Warren, as suddenly his mother and the household’s attention shifted to his youngest sister, meaning he was often more alone. The Ceardian tutors also didn’t contribute to much of a social development, Warren never learned to speak Ithanian, so he could not communicate with the other children, even his neighbours. Warren however didn’t mind it that much, he mostly kept busy with the shiny trinkets around the house, often requesting the cleaning maid whether he could help her cleaning the silverware or dusting out the cabinets. Despite Warren accepting and coping with his lonely upbringing, he did in some part later lay the blame on Dianne, having a somewhat strained relationship with her. He always has the feeling she is out to steal his shinies.

When Warren was 10, it became natural for him to enter an apprenticeship with the local gold smithies. He learned much of his craft in the following years, though contact with his oldest brother was cut short in 286 as he was drafted in the military and sent off to Hadar to fight in the Chrysant Wars. His oldest sister had meanwhile preceded him to teach the art of bow stringing several years before. This in particular caused a bit of an upheaval in the crafts families of Val Croix at the time. It was deemed unsuitable for women to work in the crafts business, and it landed much ire from the Ithanian nobility on their family, even as far as to boycott some of their resources. The next 5 years were hard. The Coen forging business nearly bankrupted itself, however Milahme’s parents persisted in wishing to grant their daughter her crafting wish. As soon as the Chrysant war was over, the entire family sold their business and moved to Regalia, to a modest townhouse. William was now 31, Warren was 21 and recently graduated from his apprenticeship, Milahme was 26, while Diane was only 15. Diane had not necessarily chosen to become a lady in waiting, but was never specifically offered the position of a craftswoman, and as such simply followed her mother in household affairs.

When the Coen family set up their business in Regalia it was tough on them for a couple of years. Regalia was a much bigger market and there was little demand for William’s weapons, or Warren’s mass produced gold trinkets. The family’s luck turned in their favor when the mother landed a marriage on Dianne with a very wealthy merchant that was sympathetic to their pleas. Dianne was instrumental at making the merchant write their family into his will, which was made to be very convenient when he suddenly died several months into the marriage, with Dianne showing no signs of even having consummated the marriage. The Coen family suddenly found themselves in the possession of a vast fortune from the deceased merchant, which they immediately invested in the Lamperouge Coal business on the Landship of Vultaro. This relation with the Lamperouge's would flourish later, forming a tight friendship between Tristan Lampero, the Duke, and William Coen. Eventually the Lamperouge's would grant the Coen family a monopoly on arms production and crafts for the richer families in Vultaro, landing the Coens the breakthrough deal they needed to make it big in Regalia. Suddenly Coen weapons and jewelry were the biggest import products in Vultaro, and the Coen’s set up several forged, paying for employees and what not to expand their business.

Warren meanwhile left the household and bought his own lavish town house. His jewelry was well appreciated among the ladies in particular, and as a skilled Dressolini fencer, he became a bit of a fashion notable in the rest of the Dressolini lands. This is also what slowly caused Warren to become more lazy and in pursuit of entertainment. He had plenty of wealth and many things to spend it on. Over the past couple of years leading up to 302, Warren quickly ran out of spare funds, and realizing he might soon run short of selling his own prized golden heirlooms and trinkets, he once again leaped into the spotlight to get involved with his family’s business.

@Brycea111 I enjoyed reviewing this character, a well written and detailed example of nobility. There are a few minor problems however I need you to resolve before I can approve this.
    • In the very first sentence, please state which Ailor culture Warren belongs to/grew up with.
    • In the second bullet point, you forgot to mention the family members' whereabouts.
    • 180 pounds is quite a lot for a man his height. Depending on his musclemass, I would put it down to 150-170 pounds instead.
    • You have two ability oriented strengths, but no mental oriented strength. Please add one, but make sure to even it out by adding an additional weakness as well.
    • What it says about Warren's clumsy nature and two left feet, contradicts his high Dressolini Fencing abilities. I'd like you to think of something to replace those weaknesses, or replace his fighting skills with something more... slow and heavy.
Make this edits and quote or tag me once you're done! As a side note, having an asocial character can be fairly hard to roleplay as and is usually discouraged. But if you are convinced you are able to do so, this is not a problem.

You've replaced what was previously a physical weakness with a mental one. You still need at least one physical weakness. The same counts for the combat oriented weakness.

There is a Combat Oriented Weakness. @Terence29
There is a Physical Oriented Weakness
    That should work
