A few pieces of parchment would be found scattered around the entrance to the sewer-system around the Arena Court. Each of the papers were written in some sort of oddly penciled writing, though someone used their fingers to write each letter into the surface of those sheets. The sheets themselves were all the same, yet the copying process was poorly done, as the next copy would become progressively lighter. They read;

Below The Surface

I am Roinval Arestinescua, Sera of the Grauwald Order.

I have dishonoured myself and my creed, for the destruction of the Occult and those that have not atoned yet for their eternal sins still flourishing across our nation. As a true patriot of our country, I have decided to take the greatest action possible in order to redeem myself for my utter weakness and lack of resolve towards the flooding bureaucracy which continues to restrain these lunatics from my grasp. I was beaten into unconsciousness, restrained, and battered down like a maggot by a pathetic Reliquary, an Urlan, and the Constabulary which continue to lock my hands behind an oath of silence across the surface.

One cannot even tell another their own beliefs across this city, especially those non-converging with the pro-Occultist, liberalized individuals who continue to sicken our government to its very core. To all those damned Bralona who continue to roam without justice, to all those Urlan which still believe I am bound by the theatrics of some 'race' and hierarchy, to all those Occultists that continue to tear away at our Lothar Order, I have made the ultimate pledge.

I pledge that I will begin an eternal war within the sewer system, that I will not be halted until my corpse strikes the grounds of rubbish which filtrate throughout the underbelly of our city. I am but one individual who shall beg for the mercy of Elia. I beg that my war will bring the signals of not an end in the limited rationality still left, but a deterrence against further exposure to our city with these intoxicating terrorists continuing to butcher our innocent and survive without recourse.

If I shall be deemed a terrorist, a traitor, a heretic, so be it. Yet, this war is the ultimate glory in endurance. Every wound which shall be blessed to tell the story of my survival shall be readied with another bleeding mark upon the next day. There is no more light for the surface, a surface so engaged in its political matters and hierarchy that my war is not made to tackle. I seek not to be anything truly righteous, yet I seek to do what is necessary for deterrence to continue against these threats.

I will not say when I shall or if I will escape the sewer system, be it hours, days, or weeks. I will not return until I have secured a portion of territory dedicated to the survival of deterrence against the terroristic, murderous Occult that seeks only to form a world where we are all addicted parasites.

In addition, all necessities for duels shall be exceptions for which I will raise myself beyond the pipeline in order to prove my growing strength, as Allest would believe is needed.

Fury Last

Sera Arestinescua,

You spout heresies not only against the State, but against your own Order. Remove Allestrain's name from your mouth and know that the "shared goals" will not protect you.

See you shortly.

A Suvial looked at the post and offered a long drawn out sigh before posting a reply.

"Sera Arestinescua,

You refused a Bralona access to the Allbeacon temple, one that not only wished to learn in the ways of unionism, but you also refused him to seek repentance from Ness, the goddess of forgiveness.

You were beaten by the Reliquary for this action, so they were fully within their right for it.

Not only that, but this Bralona that you called a monster and threatened multiple times, saying that you will find a way to kill him, FORGAVE your actions right away and dropped all charges against yourself. This Bralona is a constable that has aided the Empire, keeping the people safe and stopping the demonic advances. He went /against/ his own kind, the high command. So stop pinning it on him.

I have not been in this city for long, but even I know that your priorities are completely wrong. Instead of stopping people from wishing to learn about unionism, you should focus your "anti-occult" views on the demonic meteor that is in Crookback.

Regards
Divya
Arcanist of the State Metropolitan."

A Half-Fin'ullen was seen attaching a note over some of the letters, torn parchment adorned with crude handwriting:

YOU ARE NOT A HERO. YOU ARE NOT A MARTYR.

You will not start a war, for this path you're claiming to lead will only grant you a pointless death fitting of a fool.

Remove yourself before I find you.

Sera Arestinescua,

I look to your letter and the responses of others; you've denied the grace of the Emperor. You denied the happiness of Rightful Faith. You list Urlan in your declaration of religious war. With all of this, I answer.

The Artok of The Regalian Throng declares you Enemy, in the wise words of Imperial Generals, Run. In the hunt for you, we will not engage the denizens of the sewers and Crookback - the Royals and pauper need not suffer for your foolery. The hunt ends only after sufficient beating and another notice admitting to the idiocy of your actions. Failing in the latter will mean this never ends.

Dear Sera Arestinescua,

You call me a patriot Sera so like all true Daendroque patriots should I shall issue my own ultimatum. Lay not a hand more on Constable Alfrenn, I helped him to the path of Unionism and seems he's walking it better than you, so to divert him with impure hatred is not only a sin against Taal but an attack upon a member of the unionist faithful. By my culture a attack upon one person is a attack upon all, and I will journey down to the sewers if I must to enforce Elia's call and make righteous war against you.

Keep your hands from the Daendroque, the Unionists, and any of those who claim community with either. I will not disgrace Constable Alfrenn and his virtuous decision to forgive but if you should try this again. You do so knowing the cost.

May Hor's protection stand with the righteous,

There would be another note attached to the rest. It seems the letters were done by machine rather than hand.

Sera? Please. I've seen how Seras are, and you, are not one. I've never always seen eye to eye with them, but even I can see that there is some noble intent in them. You, have no such intent. I cannot even muster enough respect to call you sir, let alone Sera. For once, I'd be willing to put my differences and past conflicts aside to hunt down a disgrace such as yourself. I could not agree more with those who commented before me on this, we need not to suffer from the consequences of your foolish actions.

You better watch your step. For you will know not the day nor the hour in which the blade shall come. May the Abyss take you.

There was a signature, but it seems an oily substance was spilled onto it, blotting it out entirely.

Dear Sera Arestinescua,

That night when I approached All Beacon's steps and wished to find faith finally, others were willing to help me, but you insulted me. You called me many things Alien, Machine, Terrorist, and Demon, you threatened my life to find a way to kill me fully and in light terms even asking me if I tried to destroy myself. As You reminded me of my sins and wrongdoings, things that already weigh my soul and haunt me, things I don't need reminding of as they already follow me with every step I take. But most of all you insulted me by saying my very race can't change. I have been asked so many times why I changed, why I became a Stormer of the Metropolitan, and why I abandoned and rebelled against the majority of my race in my homeland. The best answer I can give is that by living amongst mortal people I experienced sadness, anger, joy, and happiness. Feeling all these emotions, helps me understand how precious mortal life truly is. And so I will do anything to protect it. My original mission was to invade this city, now it's to protect it. And yet again if it takes a thousand more years to atone for my sins so be it.

Stormer of The State Metropolitan

Written in dark blue ink, a bright red Maraya tacks a response to the notice.

A paper would be attached amongst the many. A single word, written in the traditional language of the Zhong Kingdoms, placed at the center-piece of the notice.

[ꗠēŸ„]

Those able to read Wai-lan would recognize the word as 'Ignorance'.
