Spoiler: Biography April 7th, 285 AC - May 4th, 303 AC Born on the seventh of April, 285 AC was Allestane Tempetyr, first-born of Felane and Lucilanne Tempetyr of House Tempetyr. From a young age, he was raised as an Unionist despite the already busy and hardworking parents of his, his father, Felane Tempetyr, was the hands and minds of forging and exporting equipment while Allestane's mother, Lucilanne Tempetyr, was the eyes and ears of House Tempetyr, locating and obtaining sources of metals for Felane. During his childhood and monotonous days of watching his father forge components was the sight of his mother watching nearby, rubbing her stomach as she stared lovingly at Allestane and her husband. A few years later had their family welcomed another member to which they had named, Cassiaire Tempetyr, the second-born of their little family. During this time, Allestane took an interest in learning how the equipment that had been built by his father worked and was taught on the intricacies, workings, and effects of the equipment, which were specifically siege equipment that Allestane quickly picked up on. Many years had passed as Allestane continued his monotonous life of learning the workings of siege equipment under the watch of his father, on the side, he had practiced the techniques and training of the sword, shield, and spear, under the guidance of other knights of House Tempetyr. With it, he also learned the main sorcery of the Tempetyr knights, storm sorcery. At the end of 300 AC, Allestane made a decision with the assistance of his parents to become a soldier, specifically working towards the School of Drixon to showcase his desire to become a horseman which was mainly a desire of want rather than needs. But through determination and grit, he graduated and became a Drixon with his mount, Dämmerung, a Heerstepper and Hasel, a Calemberger Dobs by his side at the beginning of 303 AC, just at the start of spring. Spoiler: Eastern Wars Immediately, he was tested, being sent alongside many Drixons, new and old as they raced to Rivellia, literally traveling across the archipelago as they rode to reinforce the Regalian Army. They began initiating in guerilla tactics and blitzkrieg as they wiped regiment after regiment but at the cost of losing nearly ten percent of their Drixons during the thick of it, but in return for speed, they lost out in defense. Retreating, losing, reinforcing, winning - this cycle repeated as Allestane alongside Drixons and other troops took advantage of what opportunities were given by the Crown Alliance until they regained Regalia from the Songaskian Masaya. With the mobilization of new troops after regaining Regalia, Allestane joined up with the refreshed Third Army as they were transported to Malifant, intent on landing on the shores of Aslaqqa and onward towards Watif Esballah Castle under the cover of smoke from the Fourth Army, disabling and crippling supply lines that were supporting the Songaskian Masaya's war efforts. Merely a few months after they landed, Allestane alongside the Third Army marched onto Watif Esballah Castle as they began their siege, succeeding and holding out a Malifant siege with their intent on regaining their castle before failing with the assist of the Fifth Army and skill of the Third Army Commander. Months later had the decision regarding the armies come out, Allestane's own troop, the Third Army had combined with the Fifth Army to be the brand new Second Army under the command of Crown Prince Cedromar Kade until a vital battle in Saruhanna resulted in the capture of the Second Army Commander, Crown Prince Cedromar Kade and finally ending the Hadravian and utimately, the First Songaskian War with the exchange of prisoners. Allestane took a small mental evaluation of his actions and resided himself with a curate and then a reverend of his state, the young sixteen year-old participated in his first war and had a confirmed twenty-seven kills - out of the four months of warfare from Regalia and Malifant. He was showered in praises and words of Unionism as he was told it was the correct conduct, to protect those of Unionism and to kill heretics who opposed them before his faith became shaken, shaken to the point of where he began to doubt whether Unionism was really the answer and response for spilling blood. Very quickly, he adapted, not on his own accord but he adjusted his state of mind as he, along with many other Drixons were called upon war once more, preparing themselves and their Heerstepper's for battle. They arrived in Torse, readying themselves in Curag Fields as they witnessed.. catastrophe and near annihilation of their fellow man-at-arms, Allestane relied on his sword arm and Dämmerung, skillfully riding as he sent pilums towards giant apes - Frosthorns. Eventually through what he and many others could not understand, they won, with many and significant losses as they retreated in silence and although attempts on raising morale was issued, it didn't affect much. After this was the breaking point of the young Imperial and war veteran, with the lack of wars, he took a lower position as he cleaned artillery, working in silence as he took in the lack of noise as a meditative environment, he familiarized himself with the newly developed artillery such as the Bombard Mortar and the Ring Cannon. During this period his army had not moved an inch, under the lead of temporary commanders, they sharpened their weapons and readied their troops for the time as news of the Anahera Dictatorship came to them but still, they did not move. During this period however, he witnessed a soldier of the Second Army performing sorcery but instead of reporting him, he simply asked of his experiences to which he added onto his own practical experience, improving his control over the storm element. During that, the Second Army knew that the order of a representative of the Imperial Family was paramount to the military, they moved not an inch until they were ordered to, until the time of Emperor Alexander I, declaring Andrieu Anahera a traitor of the state. By the end of 303 AC, Allestane, despite with an invested interest in artillery and siege weapons applied to attend the Calemberg Ordner School, adding onto his related experience as a graduate of the Drixon Lancer Academy. January 12th, 304 AC - Present Date Allestane arrived on the outskirts of Calemberg before continuing onward towards the city and settled in a relaxing inn before starting his lessons in leadership and commanding for the next three years. Just a few months into the school had Allestane learned quickly, his personal experience in the First Songaskian War had already brought him on-par with second-year students, only falling short due to the lack of actual commanding soldiers and levies. During this time, he bought and cared of a Dragged Crow that he had named 'Pfeifen' or simply 'Whistle', a loud and big messenger bird but quite effective as he regularly communicated with his family and fellow Drixons, speaking of their experiences and past year since they've graduated. He also, by coincidence, also raised a Waldmarker Black Hawk with Whistle, naming it 'Ebenholz' or 'Ebony' as he wandered the market of Calemberg, learning Öbern from the Calderliga Hanse members until he fiddled with Issisch soon afterwards. Spoiler: Western Wars Near the beginning month of 304 AC, Allestane completed orientation as only one week ago, he had been sent back to the Regalian Archipelago alongside a few regiments as the Bone Horror Crisis began showing. He assisted the cleanup of the Anahera Dictatorship which was completed amidst a week with the assistance of many tens of thousands of soldiers clearing Anahera influence. After this however, he took the time to temporarily enter the reserves of the Imperial Army as he applied to the Calemberg Ordner School to learn more of commanding, more than the intricacies and surface lessons than he would know from his superiors. During this period, the majority of the forces not on the archipelago was pulled back to assist the forces against the Bone Horrors. More than half a year had passed since the start of the new year as Allestane took the lead as the top cadet of his class, his prior and theoretical experience pulled him far ahead of most of his fellow cadets until news pulled him and all his other peers out of the studious and diligent mindset, an undead had taken control of the Holy City of Regalia. Under the encouragement and words of their mentors, nearly all returned to their studies, their mind still on the topic of Freya Lo, the 'Dark Queen', sharpening their resolve and skills under the pressure of someone controlling their capital and holy city. Merely days after he found out he was the top cadet, news of a new war spread, the news of re-entering a war on the golden sands after only one year and a half after the last one, he immediately volunteered with his mental state improving day by day, relying on the scriptures of Breizh Unionism and the fact that those he killed were enemies. His choice was noted and he was sent alongside a small regiment of students, nearly every person in that regiments were students but a minority were mentors, veterans and retired commanders sharing their experiences on the way there. Arriving onto the familiar shore and sight of the desert, Allestane took a deep breath as he stuck near his regiment, readying the stirrups and saddle as he listened to his mentor, moving slowly as they were protected, the subject of cavalry being of utmost importance to the Regalian military. Some time after they first arrived, they armed and geared their Heerstepper's under the tutelage of their mentors and charged with the explosions of rubble, breakdown of walls, and screams of Songaskia's surrendering with missing limbs and blood running down their face and clothes. Allestane learned to put on an indifferent look and paid it no mind as he mentally told himself 'an order is absolute, emotion is useless' as every battle he attended and personally participated in, he believed that indifference was a means to an end, he sounded out the screams and begging as he slashed his saber to either direction and spilt blood onto the sand, drenching it. With the end of the Second Songaskian War, Allestane, amongst many others thought they were able to rest before news spread once more of another war erupting but this time to the west of the Empire as their equipment were packed and transported onto ships, all of them making their way to reinforce troops who would be there already. After they reached Lampeporta, the mentors inspected their students, picking out those who needed to stay and those who wanted to rest, Allestane was not one of them but there were quite a few who wanted to remain and return to the battlefield. With their supplies and personnel replenished, they quickly set out, wrapping around the southern tip of the Empire, they arrived onto Daen. As Allestane exited the ship alongside his peers, he was singled out by some soldiers who were revealed to be Drixons that served with Allestane during the First Songaskian War and as they caught up, realizing that he came straight from the Second Songaskian War, the same as them and attempted to poach him to ride with them once more. Eventually, with the fact that he was in the reserves and a student of the Calemberg Ordner School, some commanding officers along with his mentors decided for him to join with the Drixons, to be part of the vanguard to learn how to lead troops even if he was shadowing the unit commander. Many months later did fatigue showed onto Allestane's face, many of his fellow Drixons fell, with many other veteran soldiers were put to rest as he in turn, with others avenged their allies with many kills under their belt. Allestane never expected good news to come with all the bad news that he's always used to, and he was right, news of the Anglian Mist Crisis arrived which mentally broke some of the soldiers, both new and old as others consoled those who needed it. Allestane played the bystander, readying himself for battle as if it was any other day and awaited orders, worrying did him no good as he prepared himself for the future. With the peace treaty between the Altalars and Regalians, he focused himself and his people onto practicing to achieve perfection, to prevent that slight chance of death and increase their odds, during this practice however, he was spotted and promoted as a Field Officer, leading his comrades as their superior officer. 'For showcasing leading capabilities and maintaining morale' was their reason and he, among others believed it, what they also knew was that they lacked officers, leading personnel who could initiate in-battle commands. Before being promoted however, he had graduated from the Calemberg Ordner School, with the correct accolades and significant personal experience under his name as he marched onto battle for his fourth war, the Dread War. Being stationed within the von Rahm army had their abilities shown, with the open field and momentum gathered, they did hit and run tactics alongside blitzkriegs, cutting hundreds of Kathar at a time until they were switched out for another auxiliary squad, catching their breath until they themselves replaced another Drixon squad some time later. Some weeks later, he was gathered, amongst other Drixons and cavalry in a vast regiment comprising of hundreds if not, thousands of soldiers for the final battle south of Merkar’sarh, when their army initiated, they were quickly deployed, moving in a wave tactic had they succeeded with the heavy cavalry taking the lead. During those few skirmishes however, several hundreds of cavalrymen fell, their lives ending at that moment from the countermeasures which were pikemen. The regiment he was part of retreated calmly as if their friends had not just fallen in that instance until they eventually arrived at the end, Tenpenny levies pushed past as cavalry took down line upon line of Kathar in vengeance, clearing what they could before they were transported home. Allestane took a break, a long break from warfare as he returned home to his family, Alstyr, ignoring the situation that exploded months later, his faith and health being both shaken and uncared for after constant warfare and where faith used to be was now loyalty and service. The holy war called upon the region of Drixagh did not interest him, taking this period as recuperation, hunting to provide for himself while not interacting with his family with the exception being his parents, and caring of his warbeasts. Allestane continued on his study amongst other subjects for the next two years until he stood as a graduate of the Calemberg Ordner School, his practical experience was more than most as his mental strength was on the high side, definitely more steady than the regular soldier. His capabilities grew from a cavalryman of the Drixon Lancer Academy, a field commander of Calemberg, and then a field officer of the Imperial Army. Nearing the end of year 308 AC, rumors of entering another external war came to him with the news from a former subordinate, he readied his old armor as he inspected it with a melancholic gaze to which he soon broke out of. Allestane efficiently and quickly armed himself in his armor, casting a worn cloak over his clothes as he readied his weapons, settling the saddle onto Dämmerung and patted Hasel, readying himself on the journey to the holy city of Regalia to join the war efforts once more with Pfeifen and Ebenholz flying above. Spoiler: Southern War With the confirmed news of the Empire joining in the war between Hadar and Sendrass, the Marshal Cabinet gathered troops and prepared for a trip down south. He decided on enlisting himself with Reimar Typhonus, the Grand Marshal and familiar commander from the time of the Dread War as they sailed to the island of Bhosszaal and readied his kite shield and saber, though despite being unable to ride on Dämmerung, he was able to fight proficiently in a shield wall and favorable skirmishes. After the period of securing and stabilizing Bhosszaal, he prepared the logistics for his unit and scattered to Reimar Typhonus's troop once more. Allestane fought with hardiness and grit as he maintained simple shield wall tactics, utilizing slow approaches with the unfamiliar environment for the months of warring until they were pulled back, out of Hadar and back into Regalia. Despite the public acknowledging the victory in the south, he, along with many others knew it was merely the Sendrassians retreating and preventing further casualties to which he would never count as a complete victory. With this however, he grew tired of staying in the silent grounds in Alstyr and arrived in Regalia, sending a letter to his parents before receiving news of his kin in the city, to which he was surprised but joined them nonetheless, especially with the news of demobilization from the new Lord Chancellor. Only recently had he been released from service due to the presumed end of the war and stayed in Regalia for a new life, a life of exploration and wonder to see what may occur in this 'new chapter'. Soon, after settling into the holy city, he was accepted into a noble house guard and worked his way up to be the captain, offering his specialty as a Drixon and became an official field commander under Grand Duke Alistair Mac Conall. Eventually, through the monotonous and influence building experience of a house guard, disaster struck upon the holy city, the appearance of a Dreadfort marked the disastrous events falling upon the blueblood and commoner populace, converting those feeble enough to foreign powers, to sanguine and void exposure, including Allestane, falling from the combined attack of many sanguine and turned, it marked a new chapter in his life. Many days passed until his life as a void creature ended, injured and capture, he had been escorted and brought to the Sankrosankt to be cured and reborn. With the fall of House Delmotte months after, most family members retreated to the homelands of Basta, traveled to the Ithanian Sovereignty, or remained in the capital in service to the Arch-Consul Louis Delmotte while others were adopted into other noble houses. Though, Allestane primarily remained indifferent, he was raised as a commoner and unaffected by the noble life as he only was among the peerage for not even a full year. I'm requesting that you remove one of these combat proficiencies. This particular combination of combat proficiencies is known to be rather min-maxy, whether that was your intention or not, and removing one will significantly re-balance the character. I suggest removing Heavy Ranged. Please specify in your Life Story why this character knows Sorcery. It's a bit odd for a devout Unionist to be comfortable with the Occult, and I'd like for you to explain, even if the abilities are aesthetic. If you'd prefer for the aesthetic to be an intrinsic, non-Sorcery related deal, I suggest you apply for a Non-Ability mutations Special Permission. Make edits in a separate color and tag me when done.
Done, removed half of the combat proficiencies listed due to what you said and also the fact that Drixons do not utilize shields like I thought, my mistake on that (or at least, I didn't find it). I wanted a play on words due to his surname being 'Stormblade' and made him learn sorcery from a NPC which is described in a spoiler labelled 'Eastern Wars'. As for the issue with his faith, I honestly don't feel confident of being a pious or even a devout of all of the deities of Unionism and I want to concentrate on a small part so that I can manage it easier. Also wrote about it in the Religion portion of the Personality section, but I would like your opinion if you'd like to give it. Other point investments occurred due to the removal of some combat proficiencies which freed a lot of points and I decreased investment in Sword Combat, invested in Strength Training, invested in Horticulture Art, invested in Pathfinding Art, and switched the Racial Boost to Husbandry Art so that he could roll with two pets. Also re-calculated the Body Stat due to vast edits in proficiencies. Basic Information - Removed Stormblade as part of his nickname as he hasn't been called that for a long time - Added Alle to his nicknames Core Concepts - Added more information for the Religion portion to make it more flavorful to bring relevance to his life story and experiences, not to mention familial influence - Adjusted his Character as well due to fleshing out how I wanted to roleplay him during these past two months or so as a noble and finding a balance Mystical Abilities - Not a major change but I simply added German translations of his pet's names Linguistics - Added Öbern and Issisch so that I can in reality access a language pack, but in-character, he's involved in two major Wirtem academies that allowed him many opportunities to learn a lot of Wirtem involved languages - Also removed Dressolini as a result to accommodate Öbern Life Story - Not much that you need to look at as I've only adjusted some information in the spoiled portion, simply adjusted his second academy from the Imperial Regalian Marshal Academy to the Calemberg Ordner School Alroighty, that is all I wanted lest some update out of nowhere is happening soon and makes me have to come back to edit some shtuff. Basic Information - Removed the 'sub-race' of it all, just whatever category different Ailor were split into. Just simple 'Ailor' now Proficiencies - Removed one point from Magic and Charisma before allocating them to Strength and Constitution - Added two new packs with Strength being five points invested in total - Added two new packs with Constitution being five points invested in total - With what was formerly State General Pack and State Commander Pack, now State Leadership Pack, I turned it into the new proficiency pack - Removed North Linguist Pack since it was unused and unneeded during current roleplay and replaced it with Stupid Luck Pack, yay me ( :D ) - With Charisma being not four points, the Advanced Mount Husbandry Pack is down-graded into simply Mount Husbandry Pack Hallo once more! I have upgraded Allestane to his new form, all edits shall be in Blue. Thank ya to whomever.
Proficiencies - I forgot my old proficiencies but I assume I had a lot on combat and I lowered it to just two - For Constitution, I increased it to five while adding support-esque abilities so I could tackle another aspect for this character both aesthetically and in-character - For Magic I let it remain on one point and moved the three specials to the Abilities section - For Charisma, I wanted to let my character to remain primarily a commander and added all I wanted from the packs offered Abilities - Added the aforementioned three specials from Spell Point Buy Alrighty, I believe that is all I added / removed.
