She often wears a blouse underneath her long flowing gown, which is usually aligned with a petticoat, bustle, or an elegant cage. Underneath would be embroidered stocking that go up to her waist. The stocking are covered with thin yet reasonably heighted heels to give her a pristine posture. Violette also wears a tight corset with or over her dress. • Violette’s skin tone is a porcelain milk-white with a few smooth yet apparent bumps here and there from makeup. Violette contours her face into more of a heart shape, as she is a little embarrassed of having the families long face, also using both long eyeliner and excessive mascara. Her fingernails are often groomed, long, and cut in the fashion of stiletto nails, which is sometimes an uncommon sight.
    • Violette shaves both her legs, her armpits, and her face quite often. She strives for a smooth and sleek look, almost petrified when hairs begin to grow from the last shaving. This stemmed from an incident when she began puberty while she was playing with her childhood friend Lenore. Violette’s stocking fell as they were swinging by their favorite oak tree, causing Lenore to squawk disgust at Lottie’s leg hair.
    • Violette has a long face, which is usually contoured to a heart shape, with large, blue eyes and a straight nose. Violette has plump lips, which are also enlarged with makeup and often covered in a light shade of red. Her eyes are large and appear as if they are a stream of ocean.

    Personality and Abilities

    Personality Traits

    • Social: Violette is just a blooming flower who is eager to meet all the busy bees. She enjoys soirees, dinner parties, balls, and anything in general. Violette will always flourish with her manners and sharp personality.

    • Bubbly: Violette can often lead others to think of her as quite the air head. Yet she has an intelligent mind beyond the comments, gestures and layers of makeup. However Lottie will always make abrupt comments, chuckle at the slightest things.

    • Feminine: Violette holds herself on a very feminine stature, always swimming in accessories, gowns and makeup. The thought of trousers on women appalls her. Due to her femininity, she often doesn't along with Northerners and have a hard time accepting masculine-esque cultures/traditions.

    • Poised: Violette always tries to be a role model when it comes to being lady-like. Practicing her posture, and attempting to make her strides as elegant as possible. With this Violette tries to lead by example when she meets young ladies, and hope that her poised nature will rub off on them.

    • Empathetic: Even though Violette is often busied with the life of whimsy, tea parties, soirees and etc. She can’t help it to help those in need, often commoners who are having a difficult time. Many times she can cause trouble for herself, as she keeps giving away money, or invites the homeless into her personal studio. Sometimes her generosity gets to the best of her.

    • Flirtatious: Violette gave a vow to William that she would not marry if she was interested in political pursuits but that doesn’t stop her from giving a wink here and there. One of the most usual signs is when Violette tucks a tuft of her hair behind one ear.

    • Pacifist: Violette cannot stand to see a fight, and will usually try to find the reason and a peaceful way to end it. In both her life and in politics. However sometimes Violette’s big mouth can get the best of her.

    • Forgetful: Violette can often forget where she leaves many of her things, or just forget to attend an event. And a few rare times she will forget a few people’s titles along with their names. This can be quite problematic when her flamboyance can't speak for her and she had to talk about political events she cant recall.
    • Stubborn: A trait often getting her into trouble, Violette has a difficult time adjusting to other peoples opinions. Even when she knows that they are right, she can't help keep to her own opinion and not open up, causing some fights with her peers.

    • Over Emotional: Violette pours out her feeling at the drop of a hat. Unlike others it is hard for her in a predicament to keep a straight face and pretend like nothings wrong, she will often cry if provoked. In situations such as a family member getting injured, or a past suitor getting married, she will weep into a handkerchief which she usually keeps in hand.
    Strengths

    • Persistant: Lottie will fight until she gets her way. She isn’t one to give up and the wave of a hand, and will usually outlast the person, or at least annoy them. No matter how fruitless the topic is, she will stand by it, which is both a good and bad trait, but at the end of the day, she believes you should stand up for what you believe in.

    • Smooth-Talker: Violette can often lie and try to make things easier on her, and can convince people to take her side and believe her. This makes her a bit manipulative but not in a sinister or even in an intelligent manner, but she can easily sway one to her side, using guilt, and throwing etiquette in their face.

    • Social: Violette is often a person to talk to at a party as she always has something to say about something. She will make friends and suitors along the way easier than the usual noblewoman. This gift has gotten her far, as to how she easily becomes antiquated and respected by her peers, or at least, women.
    Weaknesses

    • Quick to speak: Never able to shut her mouth. Violette is never afraid to saw how she feels and this can sometimes upset others. This ultimately causes the opposite in what she wanted to get across and can come off as rude and snarky.

    • Breathing problems: Due to years of wearing corsets, Violette has slightly crushed her lungs and has coughing fits along with shortness of breath, one time she frightened a maid so badly she ran all the way to Greygate to get ahold of William.

    • Impulsive: Violette will often fly by the seat of her pants, and does not always rationally make decisions. If she thinks of it, and believes it to be right in the moment, she will not hesitate to do it. This causes her to make huge problems for her, especially one time when she tried to push an Anahera off of a balcony.

    • Air-head: Violette likes to think of herself as an intelligent woman, far surpassing the others, however in reality, her knowledge is limited to social etiquette. When having a discussion she can make quite the fool out of herself, which limits her to chit chat, and banter. This has gained her a nickname when among family which is the Ithanian Ditz.
    Likes

    • Maple Tea: Violette has come to love tea, and her favorite. Maple tea. Lottie often makes this herself, calling it her ‘Famous Maple Tea’ as she makes it for almost every guest and family member, along with a tray of warm lemon tarts.

    • Hosting: Violette is fond of hosting parties, dinners, and other events as she is a social butterfly. This often makes her feel like she is her own woman, with no one to depend on, even though she might make more than a few mistakes during the course of the event.

    • Embroidery: Violette learned the art of flower pressing and embroidery from her mother. And has used its techniques ever since. Often making handkerchiefs as gifts.

    • Fashion: A fashionista at heart, Violette just adores fashion and all of its styles. Violette aims to be a renowned fashion designer one day, her name stitched on every popular gown.

    • Flowers: Ever since a young girl with nothing to do, Violette loved going outdoors and picking flowers. Often being scolded by her father for getting petals and leaves all over the manor.
    Dislikes

    • Weak men: Violette believes that a man should be strong and can care for others, and will get upset if he is a dainty tulip. Violette often regards her brother to be a weakling and she often tries to rise above him.

    • Unfashionable women: Violette can’t stand the sight of a woman wearing a dull dress not accessorized right. And is completely and whole-heartedly appalled by women who wear trousers. Violette will often put a woman in her place if she is wearing something not to her liking. A good example of this would be her cousin Dianne, whom she undermines for her fashion.

    • Immodesty: Violette is disgusted by women and men who show off to much skin. Especially women who show off too much cleavage, back, and especially shoulders. And has the tendency to chuckle under her breath and remark to other women that a woman showing too much skin is indeed deemed a harlot.

    • Clutter: Violette despises clutter and will most likely have the most kept-up room in the house. Even going beyond and cleaning up what the maids have missed in her room. If someone leaves a towel on a table in the tavern, Violette will not hesitate to dispose of it.
    Come back later, sweetie. ;}

    Life Story

Violette was a child of merriment and whimsy. As a child Lottie was quite the wild card, however this was beaten out of her by her father and was controlled by her mother. During her childhood Violette was very close towards her mother seeing her as a deity wandering the world, she learned many things from her mother, as the violin, embroidery and sewing. Violette also made friends with a girl named Lenore which she grew close into her teen years, until her father put an end to their friendship.

At the age of eight Violette took a pair of scissors and chopped off half of her hair. Once her father saw this display in the family’s lounge he charged in and yanked her up by the remaining parts of her hair. During this point he was quite drunk and wasn’t thinking straight, he couldn’t help but to begin to beat poor Violette who was just playing around trying to be more like her brother. She thought if maybe she cut her hair, her father would love her like he did her two brothers but she got a different reaction then she thought she was going to receive. Instead of the loving embrace was backhand across the cheek and the yanking of hair. Violette’s mother heard the shrieks of the young girl and stormed into the room, trying to pry her drunken father off of her. Donatienne got a few firm smacks across her face as well, before he drunkenly stomped out of the room. Violette’s mother sat her down, and placed her head in her lap, as she gingerly stroked it. She began to tell her that there is nothing wrong with being an elegant, poised lady. And told her not everyone was going to like her, even if that meant her own father. Her mother began to wipe her tears away as she brought her to face-level. “Dearie. My sweet-sweet Lottie. You are going to grow into a beautiful marigold, one that will captivate all inches of the sun.” Violette has gathered marigolds and place them on her bed stand every night.

Through her teen years Violette began to indulge in makeup and gowns, which the interest will be carried on to her life now. She held her first dinner party with relatives and made a proper young lady out of herself. Afterwards her mother told her how proud she was of her, and gave her the pearl necklace, that which had been a family heirloom. Violette promised her mother that she will always try to surprise her to where she would be proud, and her mother chuckled giving her a firm embrace. To Violette’s /own/ surprise, this was one of the last hugs she would receive from her mother.

As Lottie’s mother grew more ill by the days, so did Violette’s heart. Violette would often pick flowers and sketch in her book to show her mother as she sat by her bedside. Lottie would sometimes sit and play her violin to her mother. Her and her mother’s favorite song was ‘The melody of the meadows’, and Violette played it for her whenever she could. Days came to pass to the few that were left, and on one of these days, Violette sat at her mother’s beside, cradling her cold hand in hers. Donatienne grinned on that day and told Violette, “What a beautiful young lady you have grown to be—just like your mother.” She chuckled, and so did Violette but Lottie had tears welding up in her eyes and her mother drifted off to sleep. She stayed with her for a while laying her head on her mother’s chest, softly weeping. Donatienne passed away three days after, causing Violette to go into mourning, she spent more money on the mourning gown for her mother’s funeral than any other attire she had ever worn. She carried a marigold during the whole ceremony.

After her mother’s death, Violette left her home as she couldn’t stay there without profusely crying through the day. She went to study flora in Daenshore, and lived in a luxuriant cottage there for two years. During this time she received a letter from Randulf informing of her father’s death, but she didn’t leave to attend his ceremony. Violette then went to live in Lapalaise Plus-rême for three years beginning her fashion career. She was welcomed by the ladies of the Ithanian court and grew to become popular among them, she received the title 'La Beauté de l'Exil', for her grace and social standing. However 'L'Exil' as she was away from much of her family. Violette began to receive letters from her cousin William urging her to come to the Holy City of Regalia. Violette then took routine trips there and stayed in the guest room of the estate. During her stay she decided she wanted to get involved into politics, however once she saw she didn’t have much of a chance due to her ditzy behavior, she grew an interest in medicine and went back to a school in Daenshore to study medicine and herbs. However she couldn’t keep up with all the information and began to fail the course, she then dropped out after the first semester. Due to embarrassment she didn't go back to Regalia but continued studying fashion and moved back to Lapalaise Plus-rême and begun a friendship with Stefan du Stefan which caused her a growing success in her fashion career. She opened a boutique and named it Angelique Magnifique' and created her own style which was a mixture of Ithanian and Lusits, with a hint of conservationism. This went on for about six years, until she returned to Regalia claiming to be a doctor, as she started a charter named Le Begonia Violet, which due to her lack of medical knowledge, was shut down by her in not too long of time. Now living with her cousins she has begun to pursue fashion once more since it is what she has a knack in, working now on her first line of hats and gowns, “Le Rose Rouges.” She then grew as a fashion extraordinaire and takes routine trips for banquets back in Ithania. Now residing with her family, she now tries to become an esteemed lady of the Regalian court, not just the Ithanian court.

    Peer Review Time!

I don't have too many issues with this application overall (though I am new to the peer review scene), however, there are a few things you should change:

-First of all, it seems to me that most of your personality traits are positive. I would suggest that you replace several of these traits with more negative or neutral ones as well. Also, if you want to help your reviewer, you should color code your personality traits, or label with (+), (-), and (=).
-Secondly, you need to beef up both your personality traits and your strengths + weaknesses quite a bit. Personality traits, according to the template, should be 4-5 sentences, while the S&W's should be at least 3 each.
-Third, "Woman" seems like a sorta cop-out weakness. The bigotry against women is natural in Regalian society, and doesn't need to be restated. Weaknesses should be things at least somewhat unique to your character, or at least set them apart from what you'd expect from, in this case, a noble woman.
-Not only this, but the way you word "Quick to Speak" makes it seems somewhat like a strength as well as a weakness, and might fit better in the personality traits section. You should either rework this weakness, or move it and add a new one.

Altogether, this seems like a very well thought out application! If you take heed of what I said, and if you make changes, color them in blue and tag me and I'll come back around. After you make those changes, I think you should be good for approval! but that's not up to me...

Greetings @Springheel ! I will be reviewing this character sheet.
    • You have virtually no negative personality traits. Replace two or more with negative traits to add some balance.
    • Your traits are very bare. Flesh them out by describing how they influence her actions/interactions, what influenced them and so forth. Anything to make them seem more than a single sentence.
    • Not one to give up easily should be labeled persistent or determined.
    • Being a woman is a cop out weakness (if at all). If gender is a weakness, then it is already assumed because she is a woman.
    • On that note, just like the personality traits, flesh out the strengths and weaknesses.
Mark your edits in blue, and tag me when they are completed.
