He is persistent and determined in making strides towards his goals and dreams. He knows he’s impulsive, usually acting without thinking about the after effects. He believes that only through his persistence and tenacity that he will ever be able to achieve his goal of Rahkr. Some perceive Vedrfolnir as an apprehensive man, often noting his cautiousness and distrust for them, due to his cold and calculating presence. In the same breath, Ved is loud and boisterous, boasting about his lineage and his achievements. Beyond that, Ved is often perceived as a kind and courageous man, sharing a drink and a meal to those down on their luck or willing to lend their ear to listen to his tales. With his kin and brethren, he is openly affectionate, and enjoys being able to let go of anxiety of Regalian life, knowing there is no judgement, and that they would have each other’s backs the moment something happened. He speaks in his mother tongue around his kin and friends, as most of them can understand and speak it. Vedrfolnir is best described as Chaotic Good, he sets his own standards and has little use for the Regalian society’s idea of law. Like many of his kin, he will not simply bend his knee because some man he has never met tells him so. Vedrfolnir is equally a kind man as he is a free spirit, often standing for he considers true to Jovr and helping those he deems close enough to him. He is bound by both the code of the Skaggers and that of Jovr, but he does have his own set of standards. If a vagabond is stealing food, he finds that acceptable, but if the wealthy are stealing from the poor, he is often quite disgusted, as his own standards have been broken. Vedrfolnir is a devout follower of the Old Fayth, worshipping in private. He doesn’t believe Nobles have any more privilege than a Commoner, as he has seen nobles of Drixagh and Nordskag fight by his side on the field of battle. Cieli Le'vilja- A great drinking partner, usually the two talk about the similarities and differences between her worship of Estel and his worship of the Gods Urijah Jamesson- A good ally, called Brother due to respect. to be continued Life Story Born to a Velheim Skagger named Berdalf and another Skagger turned Ursarr, in the woods of Nordskag, on 6/11/276 Birth to Six At one, Vedrfolnir was named in reverence to the Union of Air. At three, Vedrfolnir began helping his mother and father clean the kills they brought back from hunting, he helped skin the meat, and would help his mother cook, wishing he too could hunt with them. At five, his father relented to his son’s pleas, and decided to take him on a hunt in Nordskag, mystifying the young Vedrfolnir with the Skagenak fighting style. Seven to Fourteen Vedrfolnir’s parents felt it was important for their son to start learning about the culture and abilities of the Skagger order, so, at the age of ten, they sent their boy to the Ulf-Bien, having him learn with other children. His life didn’t really change much, if anything, it instilled the ideal that all Skaggers are kin by blood and battle. Fourteen - Now Around the age of thirteen, Vedrfolnir met his cousin, the young Ullr Ulfurtonn, the two competing against each other often, sometimes over the attention of the older grandmasters. Around sixteen, he’s given an axe, and a dagger, personally crafted for his style and use he had developed during training with other initiates. After attaining his own weapons, he officially began weapons training. Vedrfolnir officially earned the title of "Skagger" around his eighteenth year, having proven to his mentors that he knew how to fight efficiently. Vedrfolnir leaves his ringfort around the age of nineteen, heading towards the fields of battle. On his travels, Ved met a Staargir. The Staargir told Ved he was destined for great things, greater things than a simple roving warrior. Thus began Ved's ambitions. A few years after leaving the fort, at the age of twenty-one, Vedrfolnir meets a Skagger from Drixagh, after convincing her to join him, the two of them travel together for three years, before the two separated. Two years later, Vedrfolnir heads to Drixagh, looking to complete his Trial of Mastery at the Crag like the Skaggers of old. After a year and a half of constant hardship, Vedrfolnir finishes the Trial of Mastery, and a Staagir tattoos Vedrfolnir using the war paint of the Skaggers. Between the ages of twenty-four and twenty-nine, Vedrfolnir was off the coast of Nordskag, raiding with his cousins. Throughout the years, he was placed in the position of captain. Eventually, he was competent enough to command sailors on his own ship. Vedrfolnir was in Drixagh when the Imperial standard army came and ransacked the ringfort he was staying at. He fought against the attacking men but was knocked into a nearby river. When he woke up, a Staagir was tending to his wounds, telling him that he wasn't supposed to pass on yet. The Staagir took him to the territory near the fort his parents taught in, and his parents nowhere to be found. Ved traveled around Drixagh for a couple months, looking for other Skaggers, before finally heading to a port city. Still reeling from the shock and horror of the Burning of the North, Vedrfolnir charted a ship to Regalia's Crown City to spread the word to the closest thing remaining to remaining kin, other Skaggers. Once in Regalia, he completed odd jobs, eventually earning enough to buy a frigate with some cannons.
The personality traits are pretty sort. Add a few good sentences to them all. Same for the strengths. I suggest you make his physical strength into a strength. Muscular takes some training, and why not fill up a slot, aye? Please explain why he is in Regalia when they pretty much murdered many of those he cares for. Thats it from me.
Hello! Here's my review: What aura does he give off? Why is he percieved as a xenophobe? Please expand on this section. How would he feel if someone he cared for was a criminal? How would he feel if someone he knew, but didn't care for was a criminal? To what degree could he go in terms of breaking the law? What would be his breaking point? As the School of Skagger has changed, do you think I should remove the things about the different skill levels?
Do you mean the ranking levels from trainee to champion? Really all I need is for you to add the proficiencies, then if you want to update the life story to include them. Just use your pool of points and divide them however you wish
RECENT EVENTS SO I REMEMBER TO PUT THEM IN Ved becomes house guard for House Ulfurtonn, he's quickly promoted to second-in-command Ulfurtonn joins Ulfmaerr and Krupp to form the now defunct Northmark Clinton Parlow II dies assaulting a noble Virathus Krupp is slain, causing disarray among the ranks of the Northmark, directly resulting in it's dissolution. Ved is adopted as a brother to the Heir of House Ulfurtonn Ved proposes to Silver Valentine. Jared Kade offers all ex-Northmark members a place in the Violet Order House Ulfurtonn imperializes, and Ved leaves the family Ved leaves Regalia to go back to Nordskag, to reestablish what his goals in Regalia are. Ved returns, Silver had found another lover while he was away, ending the relationship. Ved is now a cadet, in the Order of the Hightower. Ved recently joined the army of General Ernst Kehlen ( @Walrusaur_ ) as a commissioned officer. Dragon's Claw decommissioned. Ved leaves Hightower at the rank of Petty Officer Ved registers on the Marshal Registry as a Field Officer soon after registering, Ved is sent off to the Elven Moors, After returning, Ved in encountered by his adoptive brother's firstborn, Leif. Soon after meeting Leif, his brother's second born son's mother is executed, resulting in the Skagger raising the young Brunhild in a similar way he himself was raised. That's really all that happened, from the last time I updated my life story to today, 6/08/18, will soon be adding this section in and rewriting other bits of his life story.
