I know vampires are being nerfed, this is a suggestion how coming from a vampire.

I, honestly, do not use bloodlust. I am only vampire for roleplay reasons. The main benefit I go for is stationary hunger and not drowning in water (nightvision is nice, too). I was thinking to remove bloodlust and give vampires a permanent 105% bonus only while unarmed. It's only 5% bonus which would barely be half a heart (to most). Keep the 2 block jump (shows they are vampire) and nerf the speed. They will still have the irradiation. I also think the wooden stake should be nerfed: When I imagine someone attempting to kill a vampire, it's late at night and a young woman comes up behind a vampire and stabs him in the back with the wooden stake. I do not see someone fighting with a wooden axe to kill a vampire. Down to 5 hearts, I'd say. (With McMMO, you can easily one-shot a vampire with no armor with only 100 levels on the sword or axe).

I personally think the older version of the vampire plug in was much better, not many people wanted to be a vampire because they couldn't just bloodlust away when some one came up to them with a wooden item. The older version of the vampire plugin also caused alot less problems, no one really complained about not being able to hit them. If it was possible i'd love the older version of the vampire plugin to come back.

I think that the vampire con's should greatly outmatch the pros. Yes, I am saying that vampires should be unbalanced, to the disadvantage of the vampire. Why? Because it is a disease that you contract that turns you into a vampire! Sure, there are some pros, and if you want to be a sneaky spy, then vampires are good. However most legends don't portray vampires as fighters, so I agree, bloodlust should be gone.

My opinion is, if Bloodlust is taken away, give their defense against wood better. Really bloodlust is the only defense they have against wood. But ive actually been able to use bloodlust for RP reasons as well. So why not just ton down the power boost of Bloodlust, or even take it away entirely.

I think the factors of night should go into play. Here's the changes I think should be implemented
-Remove bloodlust
-add watchdogeditor's /v hide (already been approved, I believe)
-Vampires deal +15% damage of all melee weapons during night, normal damage during day.
-Vampires deal an extra heart of damage on their first hit if they initiate the combat, to sort of encourage the sneakiness and surprise attacks.
-(there shouldn't be a defense against wood, that's why its a weakness. stake power stays the same. It's good that the wooden stake can 1 hit unarmored vampires, it's not like you have to stake a vampire more than once to kill it...)

What is watchdogeditor's /v hide?

I think that the wooden stake extra damage should be normal when wearing iron or diamond armor because it would block the stake entirely in real life.
What is watchdogeditor's /v hide?
it allows vampires to jump normal (and I think make their particles more translucent) so they aren't as noticeable.

What is watchdogeditor's /v hide?
What eyebrows said, and also they can't use bloodlust while in /v hide.

well a wooden stick's normal damage does half a heart against non-vamps. It's rare that someone isn't wearing one of those armors during pvp, so that would essentially get rid of the vampires biggest weakness.

wait, you preferred the one where vampires could fly with a bone? or are you referring to another version?
