Vampire Update Day 1 Patch

As per usual, lore sometimes needs a bit of modification. Most of the noise regarding the Vampire update was positive, but we decided to do another run over in a Day 1 Patch update to fix some of the problems.

Changes in general:
  • All Bloodlines are now written out in descriptive text instead of a small image with little explanation text. It made more sense to have them more detailed as the short text was causing a lot of confusion.
  • Vampirism infection is no longer 100%. It is now more closer to 25% with a /dice 1 20 to roll below 6 for infection. Infection can also occur through other means depending on the Bloodline.
  • Reclarified that the minimum age for Vampirism is 18 years old (except for the Dorkarth Bloodline).
  • Language on all points is expanded to be more descriptive.
Changes to the Bloodline Traits:
  • Alais
    • Passive: No longer only feed on Nobles, made them unable to infect others by feeding period, but visuals are kept as subtle as possible. Eyes do however redden during feeding.
    • Feeding Lust replaced with Fingers of the Lord which gives +20 Rogue Training
    • Feeding Pheros replaced with One with the Room, which allows them to self-hex into furniture to hide as long as no one is directly looking at them.
    • Brood Clarity changed to Mind Freeze which allows them to put someone in a 30 second non-combat daze for 30 seconds.
    • Feeding Delight replaced with Strauss Aura which mutes any item sounds in their hands and makes their walking/moving silent.
    • Unturned Feeding replaced with Stocker Syndrome which causes those who have been fed on at least 2 times to become protective over the Vampire, helping them hide and protecting them in a fight.
  • von Kërle
    • Varghul claw size downscaled a little bit in the language to make them a bit less massive.
    • Greater Healing was given a non-combat cooldown timer and actual time limit.
    • Varlord Form suggestiveness over other Vampires removed (Varlord is already considered a combat buff since they gain Varran speed and muscle mass regardless of Body Stat, mind suggestiveness seemed too much).
  • Shilôt
    • Passive: Shilot still do not turn others while drinking their blood, but Alluring Skin was made a passive also, meaning they are always generally handsome (even if that does not hide their Vampire visual traits), and Ageless Delight was also made a passive, meaning they don't visually age by default (but their max age remains the same).
    • Ageless Delight replaced with Become the Drop which allows them to turn into a ground puddle of Wine.
    • Tongues of Mortals modified to include that the languages gained must be "of their race", meaning an Ailor Vampire can learn other Ailor culture languages, but not Dwarven.
    • Drawl Thickening modified to explain that it requires Shilot blood in it (a little bit) which then causes it become addictive to the people who drink it, a curse that needs to be lifted with certain anti curse magic or ritualism.
    • Alluring Skin replaced with Rotating Crop which allows them to do one of three things to a drink: Turn it into a sleep agent, turn it into a 60 second speed boost agent, or turn it into an aphrodisiac.
  • Doughal
    • Added more specific rules to Beast Lording to avoid future complications.
    • Dread Claws replaced with Dread Punch which requires 3 successive mid-chest punches to paralyze a person for 15 minutes.
    • Dearth Disguise added onto that they do not start burning as long as the sky is very overcast, or if it is raining.
    • Kiltach Wall changed to not include Kiltach and instead be a much smaller piece of cloth worn as a shoulder cape.
  • Anterrin
    • Auld Grip limited to 2 days instead of 1.
    • Stone Sapping clarified that you cannot move inside the stone and can be busted out of it.
  • Zikiel
    • Passive: Clarified the whole chain business way better so it can be understood.
  • Dorkarth
    • Changed Scourge the North to Scourge the Old which allows the Vampire to knock a weapon wielded by an enemy out of their hand and push it 20 blocks away, but only once per fight (same fight, even stepping out of that fight and then back in does not reset it).
    • Cold Fires swapped out for Lords of Auld, which moves the suggestiveness once held by the Varlords to the Dortkarth Vampires instead.
  • Crimson Witches
    • Set a strict 3 minute timer for Harpy's Call, but allowed them to redirect the flock of ravens or bats to a new target while it is still active.
Apologies to everyone who has to drag their app through processing again - if it makes it any better, you don't need to ask for a re-review if you're just swapping mutations inside your Bloodline. Only if you change your Bloodline do you need to change ask for a full re-review. As per usual, we're looking to see how this all works out before deciding any further changes.
