In her travels, she sings for the Rivers, puts to rest weary Spirits, and forces malevolent Demons back into slumber---though Valenia would surely continue to do these things even if it wasn't Armina's demand.» Zanobi | 10/10 › | Valenia is greatly reverent of the Dragon of Magic and all that she represents, and holds a far-fetched dream that it could be through the Yellow Dragons that she can be "cleansed" and achieve true Dragon Magic. The Isldar's own love for the occult most keenly compares to Zanobi's appreciation for magic, and she believes that the great Water Dragon is key to bridging all the hatred between infection-loathing Archon and Regalia's vast occult populace.» Ballas | 10/10 › | Valenia's adoration for nature and plant life lends a special spot in her heart for Ballas, especially so due to the Dragon's positive inclinations towards magic, and even further still for the connection that Ballas has with her patron Dragon. She clings to the hope that the Green Dragons are somewhere alive and healthy, and abhors the idea that there was once a point in history where the Allorn attempted to slay them. The Isldar aspires to match Ballas's kindness and continues to nurture the flora she comes across in her name.» Regulus | 9/10 › | Having been born with a Magespark, Valenia largely respects Regulus's acceptance and mercy towards the occult. She, too, wishes to offer kindness and acceptance to the magically-infested to a degree that has occasionally labeled her as a traitor to worshippers of the more anti-occult Dragons. She fervently believes every occult individual has the right to live peacefully, and sees no situation where the death of an infected person should be valued over curing or saving them.» Severena | 6/10 › | Many of Valenia's values of compassion, healing, and protection all closely align with Severena's designs, so the Isldar holds this dragon in high respect. However, she largely disagrees with Severena's stance on the occult, and believes that all magically-inclined people are capable of achieving good deeds, regardless of if the magic itself is considered "corruption." In all other aspects, however, she holds the Penultimate Defender in high favor, and looks to her for guidance in her day-to-day life. PERSONALITY EXPANSION » Regarding Law | How does your character feel about law and authority? › | While Valenia does her best to follow the laws set out by the city, and has no wishes of making herself into a criminal, she will always hold her own values and morals over Regalian Law. That is to say, if she believes that something about the law is unjust, she will avoid following it to whatever extent she can without having herself publicly labeled as a criminal. She believes in mercy, pro-occult views, and fervently believes in the power of choice. She is usually fearful of the Metropolitan and other law enforcers of the city, her past experiences with them leading her to believe they are corrupt, biased, and hateful to people like her.» Regarding Family | How does your character feel towards their family? › | Family will always hold a high place in Valenia's heart. She has an abundance of siblings, cousins, uncles, and aunts, and her lifetime was spent growing up alongside them all. Loyalty to and acceptance of one's family was molded into her head at an early age, and Valenia's cheerful (if not naive) personality has generally left her on good terms with most of her relatives. She believes even those that have fallen out of grace, such as the rare few that strayed to the Death Isldar path, are still deserving of her love. Her relationship to her parents is somewhat distant, though she maintains close bonds with many of her siblings, a good portion of which also traveled to Regalia.» Regarding Race | How does your character feel about races other than their own? › | Valenia sees all races as equal: Or, at the very least, she tries to preach that idea. Deep down, she will always carry a feeling of Nelfin superiority over the other races of the world, and even above that, she feels preference for the Isldar especially. Though she would never be caught openly admitting it, she holds a slight disdain for both the Dwarves and the Teledden for their roles in attempting to destroy her ancestors. Despite this, she will never treat an individual as lesser sorely based off of how they were born, and prefers to allow actions to define how she treats other people.» Regarding Religion | How does your character feel about other religions? › | The Isldar is open-minded to most of Aloria's other religions, and even took an interest in reading about them from a young age. In general, she is indifferent---if not curious---to religions not her own, and will happily sit and listen to learn more about one's faith. However, she has a rather fearful view of Unionism, believing that it has inspired a lot of unnecessary hate and bloodshed throughout history, that violence often being targeted towards people of occult status. And, to exist in an Empire where failing to acknowledge the divinity of the Emperor is a high crime, Valenia regularly lives in fear that she will be punished for not following a conservative Ailor faith.» Regarding Magic | How does your character feel about the arcane and the magical in the world? › | She is largely pro-occult, believing in the freedom to use magic as long as it is done so in a non-violent way. She sees the learning and controlling of magic to be a process worthy of respect, one that requires enough time and practice that it should never be dismissed as a "crutch" by those without arcane talents. She actively promotes facilitating the teaching of magic and the arcane, and even owns a store that specializes in selling magical trinkets of her own making. Those who actively seek to suppress, marginalize, restrict, or humiliate the usage of magic among the common populace are quick to earn the Isldar's disrespect and disgust. A sole exception for her love of the arcane is that of Necromancy; raising and tampering with the dead will always be something she despises.» Regarding Pride | What is your character most proud of about themselves? › | She remains proud of both her magical affinity and her extensive medical knowledge, two skills which she worked to hone for decades. A lifetime of medical practice has transformed her into a suitable doctor as well, and the satisfaction of being able to save a life is all too great---though it is not without episodes of failure, most of which leave lasting scars on the Isldar's mind.» Regarding Insecurity | What is your character's biggest insecurity? › | The Isldar has an excessive desire to be accepted by everyone she comes across, and always lives in fear that her current ways of acting will never be up to standard. Sometimes, her life is defined by acting in a way to make others happy, or in hopes of gaining their approval---and just as often, she spends long nights reflecting upon how she has likely failed to do so. She wishes to be everyone's friend to a fault, and the idea of unwittingly creating enemies---sometimes, due to circumstances entirely out of her control---will always gnaw at her mind.» Regarding Fear | What is your character's biggest fear? › | Valenia's ultimate fear is that she be unable to save her loved ones. Whatever the definition of "saving" means seems to vary depending on the situation---it could be as drastic as being unable to save their lives, or perhaps only being unable to save them from injury. In any case, the Isldar is desperate to be there for her friends and family, and lives in fear that the time will come that she will be too helpless to offer aid when they need it most. She cares not for her own well-being, if it means she can ensure the ones she cares about are safe.

Updated Valenia's app to some new standards following the update to Isldar lore, and tweaked some sections of her Core Concept and Life Story to accommodate. @Caelamus Requesting a quick re-review; had to shuffle some points around due to the update to Alchemy. Changelog: Removed Common Alchemy and Healing Alchemy. Added Mineral Wisdom. Added the Medical Artificer Pack, its associated specials, and the chosen Artificer branch. Also took the opportunity to redesign Valenia's Demon Form to be more consistent with the themes of the deity I had in mind. Hopefully this shouldn't be a problem, since I haven't used her Demon Form in-game yet. That's all! Changes made in red.

Added the 2 Point Cost for the Custom Kit. Also took the opportunity to swap out a few magic specials I wasn't using for ones that looked more interesting.

Magic Throw became Arcane Attraction, and Altered Self became Reflection Strike. Swapped out Affliction Wisdom for Soulrend Wisdom.
