- Ul is a child of the Paarthalaar lower city, and might be known amongst other once-street rats of a similar age.
- Ul is an adherent of Xor and has been since a young age; although not possessed of any special social stature, he might be known by other Kathar Evolists, especially followers of Xor, though has particular respect for Ventra and Ravaal as gods, as well as their cultists.
- Ul fought in the Dread War, but not on the Regalian front; he may be recognised by other fellow warriors of Rokhavaal, or by Teledden, Lanlath, or Fin'ullen soldiers of the era.
- Ul believes in the rule of the jungle and respects power for power's sake; he truly believes that all one needs to rule is to beat the opposition into submission, however that takes its shape.
