With the start of others revitalizing other parts of the roleplay community with expanding upon the races that are oft forgotten in Regalia due to their at times, out of place appearance, I've decided to try and have my hand at gathering together an Altalar community!

Before this, I do have questions which I'd love to get feedback on to know how you all feel about this.
  • Do you currently play an Altalar? If not, why not?
  • Is there anything that could entice you to play an Altalar?
  • When concerning an Altalar community or group in Regalia, do you believe it will be important to convey the caste system they have in place in the Princedoms?
  • What would you like an organisation of Altalar to include? Any specific goals or ideals?
  • Would you be interested in historical events that relate to the Elven Empire? If not, please say why!

If anyone has any suggestions or concerns that they'd like to express, feel free to comment them below.

Yep.

Yeah, but only if we have some fluidity and each caste contributes something. Don't just keep people down because we can. Slave races (songaskia) and classes fail.

What would you like an organisation of Altalar to include? Any specific goals or ideals?

Estel stuff and Altalar mages. Basically, intellectual niches that combat oriented humans are not filling. We have things to contribute.
Would you be interested in historical events that relate to the Elven Empire? If not, please say why!

Yes. Yes. Yes! Ancient Elven Empire stuff is awesome. Let's see artefacts and lost knowledge and old magic. You know that diplomatic mission to Alloylae? More of amazing stuff like that.

    • Sort of. While I would like to see something like this, not all of the Altalar that people play come from the Princedoms. Maybe there could be something along the line of an "other" group for them?

    • History and Estel Stuff. I would also like to see more elven culture being represented besides the scholars and slavery aspects. Maybe explore the different castes and how their cultures differ?

    • YES.

    • I play one!

    • I believe so. It would really give a better example on how the Altalar's act in a society of their own and not just with others around the city.

    • I would very much like to see some sort of area dedicated to the elves, and have it sectioned off by subrace! This would give a chance to spotlight on each culture entirely, and use up all the space. An organization could range from a simple dye making shop to something extravagant, such as teaching others the ways of the culture.

    • I would be very much interested!! It would be interesting to see players get involved in a larger scale community or project. :)

I'll keep this short and simple.
  • Yes, Beni Jjinete'viento.
  • More magic implemented into the race.
  • Yes, definitely. Actually, I am currently working on creating an Altalar family, so that should be fun.
  • Not really Jacobonist (I'd rather them be legal), but working on giving more rights and places for Altalar in Regalian society. I'd also love to see some more Faith of Estel.
  • Totally, I'd love to see more events related to the Altalar. Personally, I think the Regalians win too much as well (I'm referring to warfare). But I'd like to see some stuff on the historic level too.

  • Do you currently play an Altalar? If not, why not?:
    • I do when I spare the time but not as a main.

    • Very much, light explanation below
  • What would you like an organisation of Altalar to include? Any specific goals or ideals?
    • Whilst it's often odd to imagine an Altalar being in Regalia in the first place, I like the idea of them attempting to construct their homes beliefs within the city. Enforcing their caste system for the sake of their cultural beliefs & building towards the capitalization upon slave trades within Regalia. Whilst slavery Rp its self is a rough edge, it's something minor I feel can be implemented within RP. Alta-Altalar can build towards politics & nobility whilst the rest assist in supporting their agenda & working towards assisting their cause.
    • Though touched on lightly above, I can also get behind a more Scholarly-Arcane niche to add onto the above light suggestions.
  • Would you be interested in historical events that relate to the Elven Empire?
    • Who doesn't love a bit of spice to a race filled with potential.
