His childhood was meant for greatness, as his father had begun to teach him some of the key cultural pieces of the Velheimers. However, during his learning and exploration outside at 5 years old. He’d begin to hear the cries of a bird. It was a Dragged Crow, in which Torkild helped the beast by giving it some aid. Over time, Torkild had begun to grow a bond with the bird as he’d talk with it when he was meant to be asleep. When he turned 10, Magnus sent his middle child to the School of Skaggers under the Älgträffar Discipline. However, he decided to go with the unique Valsgärde Sword. His training was a struggle, continuing forward for the longest time. When he turned the age of 15, he was attacked by a Brown Cave Bear. In which, he’d barely manage to kill it. He was heavily scarred on his back and torso, while being scarred across his face. He had to be put in a hospital bed for a week, in which he’d finally be fit enough to start walking. However, that didn’t stop him, as he’d start to learn the history of the Ailor as he’d continue his training. 19-35 Years Old The scarred Velheimer wasn’t unsure what the Gods had in mind for him, but Torkild coninuted his harsh training until he became 19, in which he’d meet a young woman by the name of Frida. They both finally finished their training, in which they got married and had their first child, Bjorgulf, on July 18th, 271 AC in the same place he himself was born. Torkild was so proud of his son, in which he’d go to have another child by the name of Finskjæra, in which it’d be his second son. However, during a drunken night, he went out of the house and managed to sleep with another woman, who gave birth to a child at the same time as Bjorgulf, being named Kjeldor, in which Torkild later took in as a bastard son. During the time his children were being born, he’d begin to learn the ways of Pagan Ritualism from some of the elders of Drixagh, in which he’d start to get himself ready in case there were to be any type of war he’d join. However, for the next several years, he’d begin to put himself to the test as he’d start to learn how to act as a leader, a General. In which, since he didn’t believe that the Regalian Empire would be best for him at the moment, he learnt from multiple Velheim Generals that once went to the School of Marshalry. However, he himself didn’t. He’d learn all he could about the different strategies and even lead armies. His time with the Gernerals were intense, as he'd be fitted for any type of battle that required him. However, he wasn't asked just yet. 36-57 Years Old Over his many years of study as a in-training General, Torkild continued to have more and more children, leading to having one more son and two daughters, all being nameed Kartsen, Merete, and Ulla. Even with all the wars that fell around him, Torkild felt unfit to lead so many men into battle. In which, he decided to continue his own religious training to perhaps one day stay solely with the religious side of their people. Torkild sat within his home and his family, as a raid was established against his family within his village of Kopvagr. He fought with all fibers of his being, helping Valbrand and Hjalmar with the repelling of the invaders. Though, it costed the lives of both the wives of Valbrand and Hjalmar. He felt that would be the end of the conflict. However, that all changed when the Burning of the North happened. He managed to escape with most of his fellow Haagenvigs and Velheimers. Though, it did not compare to the loss of his daughter, Ulla, who he tried to save when they were being attacked by a group of Regalian Soldiers. He failed to save her from a volly of arrows, in which managed to mortally wound her. His cries filled the fires, in which when the storm was over, he’d carry her corpse to be buried with the others who had lost their lives during the Burning. Now, after much more time to rethink of his position, he has decided to head to Regalia once and for all to help his family and House Viduggla to victory.
