To anyone who remembers...
Old video that was created during the "Golden Age" and the Valyrian wars. Remember the "Battle of Eve"?

Hard to believe this happened a year ago. It is amazing to think that back during that war, I though myself great for running out, disarming everyone, then getting pacifist and escaping with the loot, as where now I look back and remember how awful I was at pvp. That being said, if it wasn't for this war, I would not have been a pvper, as this is what caused me to start training and learning how to fight.

The only thing I miss about 'the old days' is SilverEdge, which I loved as a spawn town. The rest of it was fun and all, but time passes and things change. I think they have changed for the better, overall, and thus don't miss the old days.

While its fun to look back fondly on those days, and I do remember that war as on of my best experiences on the server even though I was mainly a defenseless citizen who hid during raids, I have to say that the server has gotten much better since. I loved those days but I don't miss them. The RP has gotten 100x better, the lore and immersion of the world cannot be compared, and as for PvP, I dunno, I haven't PvP'd since that war, and I don't miss it.

I've improved as a writer and roleplayer, and I've watched as friends and strangers on the server have improved as well. All in all, I think Massivecraft has turned into an amazing community in the past year. (Not that it wasn't great before)

I did like Cearida and SilverEdge, but that's all I really miss about back then. The lore and roleplay have gotten way better, and that's all I care about. PvP improving, I don't really care about, because I'm not a huge PvPer. I mean sure, it's good when it improves, but I just....don't care.

Nostalgia works in great ways, I often remind myself of the many many hours I played sims 1. Then I grab the game from the shelve again. Fast forward a while, everything is installed, I start playing and 10 minutes into the game I'm like "Wow this game has AIDS, I don't remember the game being this bad" and close it down again.

How would you know, you'd only been online for like a month back then... noob :P

As someone who can remember all the way back when they expanded Ceardia... I think that the PvP was better in that people didn't take it all personally and rage/flame/insult/glitch/grief while fighting. Hell, I was once raided by Kapry, back when he led Badru. Was my first month on the server, my first raid. They complimented the buildings and the only 'flame' was my faction cracking up because I went out to chat with them not realizing it was a raid. Ah, good times... good times....
