Josko The Ur
So this is a sort of remembrance thread to my old roleplay character Josko The Ur. I am writing this because he was my favourite character I have ever made and other members of the community have said he was their favourite character also.
Now I'm not sure if threads like this are actually allowed so sorry if it isn't also not sure if this should go lore stories or not so once again sorry.
So Josko The Ur was just an Ur for people who don't know where a bear humanoid race which now don't exist anymore
I'm sure this isn't the greatest thing you ever read but it is 3 in the morning as I write this.
So this is more a nostalgia fest for me and hopefully some other people as like I said I was told by people themselves that he was their favourite character. There's so much I've missed out I know so many little things and probably some big things
So for all the people who are still playing for 2-4 years ago if you have stories of Josko please tell as I would love to hear them!

So Josko The Ur was just an Ur for people who don't know where a bear humanoid race which now don't exist anymore
Josko started off as a very simple idea and let me make this clear. He was a complete rip off of another Ur character called "Windraysil" or something along the lines of that by another player. I didn't mean to copy him it was more of a subconscious thing. Luckily that player was very inactive and so no one knew better
How did Josko come to be? So I woke up one day and said I wanted to make an Ur character and so I did. I didn't have a skin but luckily on that exact day there was a player "Snakeeyes" doing skin commissions for free. My lucky day! I asked to make a Ur skin with a green waistcoat which is actually the same as the other I mentioned wore as it was in the colours of a Noble house Typhonus he served it. Once again it was subconscious and not on purpose. So then I had my skin. I needed a name. No idea what I was gonna name him. So I asked two of my faction members Vidivo and Skylord_azazaa and after a lot of names Vidivo suggested "Josko" and that stuck as my real name also begins with a J. And so there I had my name and skin and off I went into Regalia having no real idea about what my character was. He started off very peaceful as most Ur tend to be slightly docile and he was. So I headed to The Golden Willow tavern. Little did I know how much time he would be spending in it later on in his life.
As soon as I entered there about 5 or so people roleplaying and they all immediately stopped and looked at me saying how cute and cuddly Josko was and they all hugged him. OOC of course. True story this. So this was the first RP I ever did with Josko and went swimmingly.
So the second time I RPed with him he got into a disagreement and one of the small races said something like "Just ignore that man" and Josko replied with "I ignore many things but reality is not one of them" the entire tavern was like "Wow deep" and once again I was quite happy with myself as I sort of wanted Josko to be this Ur Buddha kind of character and it was going well.
The the trouble started happening and it never stopped. Turns out when you are a walking talking bear. Most people in Regalia don't treat you the same and are very racist.
Josko was in the tavern and Tristan Lampero the head of the guard in the city was in the tavern. It was rather crowded and he and his friends were blocking the way of a woman carrying her child who was trying to get past but failing so Josko intervened. I can't quite remember what happened but Tristan spat on Josko so Josko punched Tristan (Leader of the city guard) in the face and Tristan drew his longsword. This was about a week into RPing Josko and it could have been the end of him right there and then but luckily just as Tristan was about to cut Josko into pieces another Noble shouted across the room something like "Put down that sword and get over here" and so Tristan let Josko to live. Neither of them knew this would be the beginning of a great friendship.
Over the next few weeks Josko would keep getting into fights with people as they were always mean or racist or being too drunk in the tavern and Josko would end up starting a fight and it was always Tristan Lampero who came and arrested him and so they bonded over this. Tristan never executing Josko which Josko felt very thankful for.
So after getting arrested a lot Josko started looking for jobs. He was going to start working in a café run my a female Orc called Mamma Morbash or something but that never took off. He then was able to get into a group of hired mercenaries called "The Behemoths" that Tristan Lampero was running. They did a small bit but never took off. But he made some friends and connections. Tristan then joined The Crimson Inquisition who were known for beating up anyone who didn't follow the Emperor and wasn't a Unionist and surprise surpise Josko didn't and wasn't a Unionist in fact he hated it. But he somehow managed to land a job in The Crimson Inquisition guard group. Even though he was a 5th level heretic and should have burned at the stake. At the same time he also applied to be the bouncer of The Golden Willow and after a lot of talking to the two owners Jared Kade and Astrid Kade he got a job. So now he had two jobs and was getting handsomely paid. Even though Josko worked for the most prestigious guard group he still wasn't being respected and he hated it. Pretending to be a Unionist and beating up people who didn't like the Emperor. But it was good pay and he got to beat people up for money. This was probably the point Josko turned from being a good person to being a bad person. Regalia had twisted him. Very few people were nice to him and so he wasn't nice to them. He became this twisted and manipulative character who only did things for his own benefit and he only swore by one person and that was Jared Kade. Who didn't actually like Josko that much but Josko didn't know much.
So Josko stayed with the tavern and with the Crimson Inquisition and then crime and gangs started getting big so he joined the largest gang there was at the time "Usque" while he was still a guard. He didn't really like Usque but he did love being under the law while also above it. So he left and soon joined another gang run by one of old bartender of the tavern Jadex. They robbed an armour and did other general gangs things but never went anywhere. Josko was in a good place at this point. He had money, jobs friends and connections even though many Nobles and commoners didn't respect him and that's all he wanted. He was good friends with Tristan Lampero and had been invited around for dinner and such things. He friends with Ania Santorski and the Blacks. But he still had runs in with other such Nobles and still ended up punching them in the face and all sorts. Then the Sorenviks happened. Eira Sorenvik? (The main one) and the all the Hammers of Holmganga a rival guard group started causing trouble and I mean a lot of trouble and Eira was always pretty rude to Josko what with him being an Ur. When she visited the tavern she always put her feet on the counter and they kinda became weird frenemies.
Josko got arrest by the Hammers for being a heretic while he was still in The Crimson Inquisition where you have to be Unionist to be in. yes he was a heretic but that's not the point and the biggest tavern argument I've ever seen happen. This one lonely Hammer tried arresting Josko and the entire tavern was against it. Ania Santorski tried to save the day and William Coen tried and helped but eventually Josko got arrested for a month and on the day he got arrested there was a massive fire at a big noble meet up and quite a few died. So Josko got arrest. The Sorenviks were on the rise to power and this looked like Josko could easily die at any point. He was still in the shady business of gangs and such as well as all the normal stuff.
Then one day he asked Eira Sorenvik on a date and she said yes. Actually happened I swear. This was after she had stabbed someone in tavern and Josko smashed her head against a pillar and beat her up and then he got stabbed by one of her friends and uppercut him. Both Eira and her friend Venkey Ra were arrested by the guards. Then all the guards disbanded. Josko was no longer a part of The Crimson Inquisition but still a bouncer. So he got a job working for The Fongs and then also a job working for The Blacks in their trading ship company or something then Freya Lo happened that was a big things and after that my memory gets hazy. It seems the more recent it was the less I remember. Josko started working for the new guard "The Vigilant Shield" and met some old friends and made some new friends. He hit on of the guards saying he was her "teddy bear". He started dating a snake for a while who may have also been a 14 year old boy. Josko never found and didn't really want to. He started doing criminal things for The Fongs and still worked in tavern.
And that was sort of that. There was so much that Josko did despite being an Ur the most hated race in all of Regalia and then I went inactive and Urs were removed from the lore and with them gone so was Josko. He never got an ending which is kinda sad
