The Twenty-Five Days of Percurimas
Over the period of several years I have accrued a wealth of Steam keys that I have pretty much nothing to do with through humble bundle, about five pages worth. Every day until December 20th I will be giving away one steam key. For the 21st through the 23rd I will be giving away 2 per day. For the 24th I will be giving away 3. And for Christmas day, well, it's a surprise. :)

  • Do you celebrate Christmas, or another end of year holiday?
Yes! I celebrate Christmas! Fairly fun holiday :3
  • What's your favorite tradition of the holiday you celebrate?
The part afterwards where all the people are gone and I can finally take a nice, long nap.
  • What's your favorite food to eat around the holiday?
Beef. Anything derived from cow. Or, you know, pie.
  • How/When/Where/Who do you celebrate with?
I celebrate it with my family for the most part, heading up to my grandmother's house. I don't suppose we do much out of the ordinary.
  • Any other details, I may enter someone more than once if they have very good answers.
    Nope. Except eggnog is good.

Answer These Questions:
  • Do you celebrate Christmas, or another end of year holiday?
    • I do. Christmas.
  • What's your favorite tradition of the holiday you celebrate?
    • Decorating the tree. Ever since I can remember my grandma had an ammo box (proper one from the army, my grandfather served in Vietnam) that was filled with ornaments. Store bought and home made, some she and my dad made, and over time me and my brother made, and then my sister, etc etc. It just filled and we would replace broken old ones with newer made ones.
  • What's your favorite food to eat around the holiday?
    • Fudge FUDGE FUDGE.
  • How/When/Where/Who do you celebrate with?
    • With my immediate family and any other family close enough to. We moved recently so its pretty much just my parents, brother and sister, and other grandma and grandfather (not the one who owned the ammo box originally). Christmas eve in the morning we open a primer gift, something small that's set aside for it. Then the day of we open presents, family comes over, we eat and then usually watch some old crummy movies, the cliche stuff.
  • Any other details, I may enter someone more than once if they have very good answers.
    • Each pet gets a tiny stocking we hang up and they usually get little toys or catnip and things like that.
    • This is only my second christmas since moving so its still a little weird. When you live in one house for ages and get used to where the tree and such goes its kind of natural but in a new place it throws me off.

Do you celebrate Christmas, or another end of year holiday?
  • I celebrate Christmas!

What's your favorite tradition of the holiday you celebrate?
  • Favorite tradition? Oh geez there's a lot! However I believe simply decorating is my favorite! That or baking treats.
What's your favorite food to eat around the holiday?
  • Brownies and Ham! Sounds weird pairing together, but their still lovely foods.
How/When/Where/Who do you celebrate with?
  • I celebrate with my family and occasionally a few of my friends. I tend to give surprise gifts to strangers as well! (Simple things like a flower or a small stuffed animal).
Any other details, I may enter someone morethan once if they have very good answers.
  • My birthday is actually the day before Christmas Eve!
  • Eggnog sounds strange, however I've never had it.
  • Snow is actually terrible, the movies lie to us all.
  • Gunpowder is just angry sand, change my mind.

Do you celebrate Christmas? I indeedy do, and have celebrated it for as long as I can remember. It's my favorite time of the year, because the snow makes ya' want to cozy up with a good book or a good game and drink a nice cup of cocoa.
What's your favorite tradition? My favorite tradition is probably going out to find a good tree to cut down, and put up as the Christmas tree. It's always a lot of hard work, especially when it's frigid out, but it's so satisfying to see those first lights sprung up on it, and the smell of pine throughout the living room.
What's your favorite food to eat? I love cookies. I also have pumpkin pie once more around the holidays, simply because I love that so much as well, but cookies are probably my top up there.
Who do you celebrate with, and how?I celebrate mostly with my direct relatives. I don't have too many friends, but I am incredibly close with my family, and it's always nice to see everybody setting up the decorations for Christmas, and helping to get all the food ready for Christmas dinner. I love putting up ornaments, and waking up several hours far too early despite such being childish nowadays. Mostly relaxing at my home while winter rages outside, listening to holiday music, and occasionally going out to throw snowballs at my relatives, or throw them at the windows while my cats watch in awe.

  • Do you celebrate Christmas, or another end of year holiday?: I do indeed celebrate Christmas, it's a big event here still in the UK.
  • What's your favorite tradition of the holiday you celebrate?: Probably Boxing Day, which is on the 26th and involves a second day of seeing extended family but in a much more relaxed fashion (usually takeout for dinner etc).
  • What's your favorite food to eat around the holiday?: I usually gorge on the snacks being saved up for Xmas Day, so cheeseballs, Pringles, whatever, but I'm especially partial to hot chocolate or a chocolate orange.
  • How/When/Where/Who do you celebrate with?: I have a pretty busy Xmas day, which involves getting up early at my mum's to open presents with her, before my dad picks me to go to see his side of the family for a few hours, then I'm rushed back to Xmas Dinner at my mum's with close family before more arrive on Boxing Day (usually from my stepdad's family)
  • Any other details: Despite not being too sporty, I really enjoy ice skating and only get to do it when the rink's set up once a year in the city gardens. So we usually make a day of it and head to see the Xmas market, lights, brave a walk along the seafront (coastal city) before a long ice skating session. More of a family tradition.

Answer These Questions:

  • Do you celebrate Christmas, or another end of year holiday?: I do, I've celebrated christmas since I was just a child.
  • What's your favorite tradition of the holiday you celebrate?: I'd say my favourite part of the holiday is performing carols with my family, usually I'd play the piano and they'd sing.
  • What's your favorite food to eat around the holiday?: Well, usually I like to cook for my family if my Aunt isn't hosting her bi-yearly christmas meal. Often I tend to do a roasted chicken (due to the fact I work on a chicken farm) and along with it, usually garlic mushroom starters and a chocolate cake for dessert.
  • How/When/Where/Who do you celebrate with? I celebrate with my family, all bar my dad and his side of the family due to previous conflicts. Often we take turns about one year at my Aunt's and one year at my house.
  • Any other details, I may enter someone more than once if they have very good answers: Every year, on Christmas Eve I invite some friends around play some music on the piano which always leads to us playing all the way through "The Snowman".

  • Do you celebrate Christmas, or another end of year holiday?
I celebrate Christmas with my family.
  • What's your favorite tradition of the holiday you celebrate?
We love to have another Thanksgiving with a lot of Soups, always amazing
  • What's your favorite food to eat around the holiday?
I always enjoy eating Ham or my step-mother's Cheese Soup
  • How/When/Where/Who do you celebrate with?
We always celebrate Christmas with the entire family on either Christmas Eve or Day, but we always either open all but one gift one day and open the last one on the other or vise versa. We always celebrate it within our home, just enjoying the company of the main family.
  • Any other details, I may enter someone more than once if they have very good answers.
I love hanging up the decorations and watching them bright up the room, it gives me the hope of a better day and better year next year to be with my family. I also love hanging the decorations because I can always make fun of my dad's older ornaments because we never had to do much of that when we were young, but also gives me another reason to call him a nerd even more because well.. he's a Nerd. He's my old Nerd and I love him with all of my heart. He has been there for all of my life, even when my "Mother" left him and we were given to him.. he didn't leave us.. he gives us hope.. he gives us love.. he gives up funny jokes when ever he wants.. he's my dad. I love you Papa.. you'll always be Crispy Bacon.. the dumb dumb who decided to be extra crispy good on that February... You gave me hope that day and you continue to do so. Thank you.

Questions:
  • Do you celebrate Christmas, or another end of year holiday?
    • Somewhat, but nowadays more as a time to be together as family over the summer holidays rather than as "Christmas". It's a nice time. :)
  • What's your favourite tradition of the holiday you celebrate?
    • Quite an odd concept for many users here, but Christmas on the beach. Given Christmas is in summer here (and boy does it get hot) it's common for families to head to their favourite beach with their food and just sit and enjoy the coast.
  • What's your favourite food to eat around the holiday?
    • It's a toss up between Pecan pie and Cinnamon rolls. One for dessert, one for breakfast. Quite the treat.
  • How/When/Where/Who do you celebrate with?
    • Usually with friends and family. Close-nit celebration with those people who've really made the year worth it.
  • Any other details, I may enter someone more than once if they have very good answers.
    • Yay for 25 days instead of 12!

  • Questions:
    • Do you celebrate Christmas, or another end of year holiday?
      • I do celebrate Christmas!
    • What's your favorite tradition of the holiday you celebrate?
      • I always like setting up the Christmas tree with my family, it's really relaxing and just a pleasant time.
    • What's your favorite food to eat around the holiday?
      • I'm a big fan of duck and turkey. My family always has a variety of food but these two are my favourite.
    • How/When/Where/Who do you celebrate with?
      • I celebrate with my close family and extended family. We usually invite grandparents over for breakfast after opening presents and later that day we go over to my uncle's place usually for a big family barbecue that lasts all afternoon and night. This all happens on Christmas day so it's very packed.
    • Any other details, I may enter someone more than once if they have very good answers.
      • My family always gives our pets a basket of toys for their presents and its fun to just play with them early in the day before we leave to spend time with family.
      • My parents and I generally cook together before Christmas day, with all the food that needs to be prepped before or certain sweets.
      • My family likes to go driving around at night a week or so before Christmas, because most people in my home town have already put up lights and there are these few houses which are like exhibits sorta? You can walk around, and there's Santa handing out lollies. It's just a really pleasant time.

  • Do you celebrate Christmas, or another end of year holiday?
  • I celebrate Christmas with my family, although it's never been heavy on Jesus Christ and is more of just "appreciate eachother" day.
  • What's your favorite tradition of the holiday you celebrate?
  • I love how we only eat our favorite snack foods on Christmas eve and go bowling, and on Christmas we watch the newest Marvel movie.
  • What's your favorite food to eat around the holiday?
  • I personally love stuffing, probably because it goes on sale and our entire family eats everything on sale.
  • How/When/Where/Who do you celebrate with?
  • Sometimes we host a separate celebration on another date for our extended family, but Christmas is exclusively for the people in our house. (Probably because we don't want to clean)
  • Any other details, I may enter someone more than once if they have very good answers.
  • Our Christmas tree is always in a color theme. This year, it's silver and brown. Last year it was teal and silver. Goldi never gets a gold tree.

Racially, my family is Jewish, but we don't actually celebrate Hanukkah. My mother and I celebrate Yule, which is very similar to Christmas!
  • What's your favorite tradition of the holiday you celebrate?
Watching old weird Hallmark Christmas movies! The titles alone are pretty gold.
  • What's your favorite food to eat around the holiday?
Eggnog. I know it doesn't count, but it's just so good! I eat a ton of chocolate I always get in my stocking, if that counts.
  • How/When/Where/Who do you celebrate with?
My mom, mostly! Just at our house, nothing too special. Any other Yule activities are sometimes at other people's houses, but it's never very formal.
  • Any other details, I may enter someone more than once if they have very good answers.
Please, god, watch this clip from a podcast where they talk about the Hallmark Christmas movies.

you already know my username nerd
  • Do you celebrate Christmas, or another end of year holiday?
  • Christmas and also my birthday. Same day.
  • What's your favorite tradition of the holiday you celebrate?
  • More of a personal tradition than an overall Christmas tradition, but I love having a marathon of different musicals with everyone.
  • What's your favorite food to eat around the holiday?
  • Oh man. This question is getting a long answer. I love throwing Christmas dinner together because I can just go wild with it. Roast chicken, turkey, duck, lamb, beef, pork, and roo are all involved with Christmas dinner. Roast potato, yam, pumpkin, and other such things too. Pork crackling, meatloaf, and of course a ton of gravy. Yorkshire puddings are a must, as well. I actually like to use a little book of family recipes. Very good stuff, if I do say so myself.
  • How/When/Where/Who do you celebrate with?
  • Gonna split this answer up.
    • How, with a marathon of movies, a pile of presents, and one giant dinner. True Christmas right there.
    • When, uh. ...Christmas? Look man, I'm not sure what you mean.
    • Where is a simple one. At home. Where else, y'know?
    • Who, everyone. All of my polygroup, as well as a bunch of friends. It's a chore to cram everyone in, but well worth it I think.

Answer These Questions:
Do you celebrate Christmas, or another end of year holiday?
  • Yes!
What's your favorite tradition of the holiday you celebrate?
  • My favorite would be a tie between putting up the decorations with my family and seeing their reaction to them opening gifts.
What's your favorite food to eat around the holiday?
  • My entire family is Croatian, so we have at least one Croatian dish passed around. There are many names we call it but the official name for this poppy seed roll in Croatia is makovnjaca, which you can replace the poppy seed with walnut, but I strongly prefer the poppy seed ones and will literally fight anyone for it.

How/When/Where/Who do you celebrate with?
  • Since my family is so large and split up, I usually have 3 Christmases total. One is with my mom's side of the family at my house with about 30-40 people showing up, the second is with my dad's side with about 8-12 people showing up at my other grandmother's house, and the final one is just myself, my sister, my mother, and my grandmother on Christmas day.
Any other details, I may enter someone more than once if they have very good answers.
  • I have cats so they would always be included on Christmas with their own tiny stocking that's filled with toys and catnip.
  • This will be my last Christmas living with my family before I move to university next year.
  • One year I got a one pound Snickers bar that I barely finished because it was bigger than I was.
  • My friend spoiled to me about Santa before my mom could. It was a rough week after that.

Answer These Questions: Okay!
  • Do you celebrate Christmas, or another end of year holiday?
    • Yes! Very Christian family. We do the whole prayer before dinner, too. If only I wasn't the youngest thats also not too young to not do all the serving and respect traditions.. It would be nice, make the dinner feel a bit less.. stuffy?
  • What's your favorite tradition of the holiday you celebrate?
    • Being one of us spry enough to set up the lights. I love to set them up in little patterns and criss-crosses just to show off. One year we had this neighbor blaring loud music, so I made a point to set the lights up in a middle finger pattern facing their house. Was great.
  • What's your favorite food to eat around the holiday?
    • Usually the kimchi that somehow always makes way into our family dinners, and... Okay. You have to promise to not call me fat. My mother makes cake. Lemon Jello cake. Every year it mysteriously disappears when nobody is looking. Take a guess.
  • How/When/Where/Who do you celebrate with?
    • Like people/On the Eve and it breaks into Day,/At grandmother's house/The family, of course! Rarely see friends during christmas, admittedly. Father's side of the family rarely visit, they don't really like us, so it's mostly an asian invasion of all my aunts, uncles, cousins, and their kids. And one friend of mine, as of last year. Pretty sure she's coming this year too.

  • Do you celebrate Christmas, or another end of year holiday?
    • Yep, I celebrate Christmas, on the 24th not 25th.
  • What's your favorite tradition of the holiday you celebrate?
    • The gifts is probably the best.
  • What's your favorite food to eat around the holiday?
    • Lamb, it's pretty darn good
  • How/When/Where/Who do you celebrate with?
    • I usually spend it with my family. We all get together and have fun
  • Any other details, I may enter someone more than once if they have very good answers.
    • I aint got nothin'

  • Do you celebrate Christmas, or another end of year holiday?
    • I celebrate Christmas with my family! Though, there was one occasion where a family friend of ours invited us to celebrate a day of Ḥanukah with them with was fun.
  • What's your favorite tradition of the holiday you celebrate?
    • Can I talk about my favorite traditions outside of just what happens on the day? At my mom's specifically, we always do a variety of Christmas time celebrations as it is collectively our favorite time of the year. We watch movies like How The Grinch Stole Christmas (with Jim Carrey, not the new film), Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and others. We also have a Gingerbread House competition a few days before Christmas where each of the younger children pair up with my mom, the older two of my brothers, or me. On Christmas, though, we often make waffles or chocolate filled croissants and open gifts once everyone is awake before going seperate ways as my two stepbrothers and I go to our other parents later in the day.
  • What's your favorite food to eat around the holiday?
    • I. Love. Mashed. Potatoes. Not just because they're delicious as ever and filled with starchy goodness, but also because I'm largely in charge of making them at my mom's. Since sixth grade when I first took up cooking, my mom has put me in charge of making several dishes, but potatoes is always the main one I do. Besides what I make, I also love chicken and dumplings, which my meme (grandmother) makes on Christmas morning for the early arrivers.
  • How/When/Where/Who do you celebrate with?
    • It changes every year due to the fact that my parents are divorced and I have two brothers with another mom, but I'll explain this years game plan! What is going to happen with this year is on Christmas Eve, we are having our big Christmas dinner at my mom's and I'll likely be starting my dough for chocolate croissants for the next morning. Then when I wake up the next morning, likely by three of my younger brothers yelling "SISSY, SANTA CAME!", I'll race down stairs and into our Christmas light filled living room where Santa Claus has certainly placed a spread of gifts around the living room and each of the nine stockings. I'll put the croissants in the oven and we'll open gifts as they bake. When the oven beeps, my brothers will likely already have half their gifts open and packaging everywhere, leading to the older two of my brothers helping clean as I finish breakfast. We'll all eat and then racing will begin again to get ready for the rest of the day. My mom will likely drive me to my Meme's at around noon where I'll help her with dinner while we wait for my cousins, their parents, and my dad to arrive- likely with me stealing the red and green m&ms from the jar my meme puts out while we wait. Then, once they all arrive, I'll help my older and younger cousin pass out gifts as we've done since being little before we open them all before eating!
  • Any other details, I may enter someone more than once if they have very good answers. (I just added more fun facts lol)
    • Several Christmases ago, by our Jewish friend I mentioned earlier, we were gifted one of those little decorations which sings. Which was a rabbi singing "Hava Nagila". Unsurprisingly, it's a favorite among my dance-y younger brothers.
    • Every year we also watch White House Christmas, which is when they showcase the decorating process of putting up the White House's Christmas decorations, and show off the gingerbread White House.

  • Do you celebrate Christmas, or another end of year holiday?
Yep! I have done ever since I was born, although I would say celebrations since I was about 13 has tamed down and is less hectic, more relaxed.

  • What's your favorite tradition of the holiday you celebrate?
I love the day after Christmas, all the left over food to have for snacks! Turkey sandwiches and all the little salad goodies we get like cocktail sausages, sausage rolls etc!

  • What's your favorite food to eat around the holiday?
My favourite food to eat is probably pigs n' blankets, they're always scarce on the Christmas dinner plate but they are always my favourite part of it!

  • How/When/Where/Who do you celebrate with?
Usually we alternate, last year we had Christmas at my sisters house! Spent the whole day with my parents, my sister and my little nephew (and the dog!) Although sometimes we had it at our home and my grandparents and aunt would come also! This year were in a mess of moving houses so it'll be us trying to cook a Christmas dinner in a house rental.

  • Any other details, I may enter someone more than once if they have very good answers.
My go-to drink for Christmas has got to be Baileys, I always think it's extremely festive and can be drank in a glass with ice or perhaps a sneaky splash in a coffee.

  • Do you celebrate Christmas or another end of year holiday?: Bah. Humbug. -- Kidding.. Kidding. I do what's not to like about a Capitalist fueled yearly event?!

  • What's your favorite tradition of the holiday you celebrate?: Oh, sacrificing the souls of the innocent to our ultimate and omniscient leader Cthulu; It really gets me going.

  • What's your favorite food to eat around the holiday?: All of it? -- Just.. My gran's cooking is legendary. But err, the roast potatoes are always highly regarded and usually send for some Star Wars prequels level fight scenes trying to snatch the extra couple leftover after everybody has had, and sniping ones off other people's forks!

  • How/When/Where/Who do you celebrate with?: My mom's side of the family as I live in the UK now, while my dad is in South Africa, I celebrate Christmas at Christmas surprisingly! Theres often a rotation of places we hold it, my cousins or the gran's.

  • Heres a fun fact, apparently Santa used to dress in green, but due to intensive branding by Coca-Cola years back, he's recognised majorly as wearing red! Don't know if this is balder-dash or not, but.. Y'know, interesting..

We have a fake tree in our house that's like eight feet tall and has a diameter of like six feet, so we always argue whether we should put it up or not for all the effort (I say we should) it's become such a traditional piece though that the entire extended family has a name for it, "The big fat frickin tree." Which we say as a little gingle.

  • Do you celebrate Christmas, or another end of year holiday?
    • I celebrate Christmas, mostly. I used to celebrate Hanukkah with my ex-girlfriend, who was jewish, but I have no reason to celebrate any longer as I am not jewish and we are no longer dating.
  • What's your favorite tradition of the holiday you celebrate?
    • Christmas feast. Thanksgiving is only a warm up, christmas feast is always superior.
  • What's your favorite food to eat around the holiday?
    • ROASTED HAM. Turkey is nice and all but the christmas ham is way better and I look forwards to it more.
  • How/When/Where/Who do you celebrate with?
    • All of my extended family on my mom's side lives within fourty minutes of us, so usually it's with my mother's half of the family we celebrate, since my father's half lives in upstate new york

    • every year my family gets a special ornament with all our names on it, this year we added Tank and Luna for the first time to it and it was really nice
    • All the cousins do a secret santa in our family.
    • since 2012 we've had 2 trees in our house, 1 rlly big tree that we all decorate together and 1 really small and really sparse charlie brown tree. The tradition of the charlie brown tree was born after we kept moving between houses during 2012 - 2013 and couldn't get out christmas stuff so we just put out a really sad looking tree.

I've celebrated Christmas since I was a child. The tradition was that on 24th we would travel to my grandparent's home just a couple miles of away and celebrate it with the majority of our family. First, we'd eat plenty of food just like we did on Thanksgiving (That's how Southerns do), and then we'd open presents from all over our large family. I'd get stuff from all over the family - some knowing me less than others, but always doing a pretty smashing job of remembering I exist haha. Another thing was to open one - and only one - present after we arrived back home. That was our part of the family's tradition. We'd get to pick one of the presents under the tree for us and open it early. Lately though we've kinda just opened them all on Dec. 24th cause my dad really just wants to get rid of the decorations as fast as possible.

My parents never cook at the house though - we have another tradition on Dec. 25th. You see, there's this amazing Chinese restaurant at our mall nearby, and we always go there for Christmas dinner. It's always the best, and it's always a great time. My parents and I have made many memories in that restaurant, even when it changed management awhile ago. I totally always eat way too much, but it's totally always worth it.

The only thing that's gonna suck is that tradition we all have is slowly dwindling over the years. We've got way less children in the family, and a bunch of us are all grown up now. Some of us can barely make it to Christmas celebration. Though we always plan way in advance to make sure we'll be there, I really wonder what's gonna happen one day when Christmas celebration at our grandparents is over. I mean, they'll only be around for so much longer now - and they were the only glue keeping the families combined anymore. I always try my best to have a good time, cause it may be my last Christmas with my grandparents!

Sorry for ending on a sour note, though. But hey, with the death of some traditions comes the opportunity for new ones to be birthed!

  • Do you celebrate Christmas, or another end of year holiday?
I celebrate Christmas! My family isn't religious, but everyone loves a good capitalist holiday. Honestly though, the most important thing for us isn't necessarily the presents, but gathering the family around and being able to catch up properly even just once a year. Christmas is such a great holiday for that.
  • What's your favorite tradition of the holiday you celebrate?
Christmas dinner, by far. Even if I can't eat everything (my stomach can be finicky at the best of times), the practice of having all the family gathered around an over-extended table, squished up with Christmas crackers, party hats, and buffet food, is amazing. I look forwards to it every year. For those Americans who don't know what a Christmas cracker is (for shame), it's a little cardboard parcel with a flash-bang that you pull with a friend. Whoever gets the larger size wins the prizes inside, which are super dumb and tacky.
  • What's your favorite food to eat around the holiday?
Turkey. Always the turkey. I tend to get a lot of chocolate around Christmas from my relatives who don't know me very well which I also gorge myself on, but the savory snacks and big dinner are my favourite.
  • How/When/Where/Who do you celebrate with?
Since my parents are separated, I vary up each year who I spend Christmas dinner with, but I always switch between the both throughout the day. Typically I will go to visit my mother in the morning, where I'll see my step-dad and step-sister, and we'll listen to Christmas music and open presents. Then I'll return to my dad's place, and we'll both go to his partner's house for Christmas dinner, where I'll spend it with her side of the family. I'm usually the oldest in my friend groups, but despite being 21 I'm by far the youngest at the Christmas parties... After dinner we stay there until evening, playing wii games with the oldies. That's the best tbh.

Christmas is my favourite holiday, ever. I'll start thinking about it right from when it ends. I could be feeling the most depresso espresso possible, but I will still come around for Christmas to try and make it the happiest it can be. It's gotten me through some really, really tough years.

Answer These Questions:
  • Do you celebrate Christmas, or another end of year holiday?
    • Christmas! My family isn't really religious or anything but it's one of the few holidays we actually celebrate, so it's always a lot of fun.
  • What's your favorite tradition of the holiday you celebrate?
    • I'd be a liar if I said eating wasn't the first thing that came to mind, but the answer right above that is cooking! My family loves to cook and it kind of becomes a contest. My grandma is especially territorial in the kitchen and won't let anyone in when she's in there. I like to prepare lots of desserts and at least one main dish. Our big family groupchat begins claiming ideas and dishes starting in November.
  • What's your favorite food to eat around the holiday?
    • I happen to have a pretty intense sweet tooth! Around this time of year I like to prepare Crème Brûlée since I'm particularly a sucker for egg dishes. One year I experimented with a flambe (which took a lot of googling and experimentation) but it's showy and my family really likes it. Or christmas cake. I'm usually tasked with making the annual sponge cake, which is always fun. Aside from that, the food served tends to vary from year to year.
  • How/When/Where/Who do you celebrate with?
    • Always with my family. My nuclear family (mother, father, brother) and I move around a lot but during this time we almost always fly back to California where the rest of my mom's siblings are. She has three siblings, and two of them have several kids of their own, so I have plenty of cousins to hang out with. One of them has just reached the age of santa skepticism :'). Ah youth. Sometimes we spend it with my dad's family, but usually they just come to the big family party held by my mom's side.

    • Christmas is easily my favorite holiday because it's probably the only one I actually celebrate! My family has had the same decorations since I was very little and they are in very good condition. My favorite joke around this time of year always happens on December 26th. Whenever I see decorations up the day after, without fail I will comment "christmas isn't even for another year, haha, these people must be really excited for it!". No one laughs but I'm hopeful that one day someone will

- Christmas owo I've always celebrated Christmas and it's such a big holiday for my family. Not because we enjoy getting presents, it's the only time where we get to see everyone at once. We also get to decorate, yes DECORATE EVERYTHING mwHAHA
  • What's your favorite tradition of the holiday you celebrate?
We don't have many traditions for Christmas, but out of the few we have Hot Chocolate has to be at the top. The night we go and buy our Christmas tree (obviously the best one we can find owo) we get out all of our homemade ornaments and my dad goes and makes us all hot chocolate. So while we are decorating the tree we have the hot chocolate to drink as we go. It's one of those special things that will never go away. We set up the tree, turn on A Christmas story our all-time favorite Christmas movie, get hot chocolate and decorate.
  • What's your favorite food to eat around the holiday?
Man, that's hard to decide. Do candy canes count? But around this time of year, I have a lot of hot chocolate. Though I guess it's not considered a food but December is the only time I really ever drink hot chocolate so there's that. Candy canes man I always eat so many and I'm not ashamed to say that we already bought at least 10 boxes a few days ago so that we had some when we were craving some yumminess
  • How/When/Where/Who do you celebrate with?
We usually never have it in the same place each year. Christmas Eve, we have our own tradition of going to my cousin's house or my aunts house for dinner and to exchange small gifts. Christmas day oh man we have our own gift opening with my parents and brother then we go to my grandmother's house to hang out and eat breakfast and open some more gifts. Then we head over to my grandma's house on my dads side and do the same but for dinner. But we usually stay there for around a week since we don't get to see them often and they live quite a ways away from us. This year I'm really excited! I get to celebrate Christmas with my uncle Justin who I haven't seen in years. So it's going to be pretty amazing.

  • Do you celebrate Christmas, or another end of year holiday? I do.
  • What's your favorite tradition of the holiday you celebrate? Decorating the house together as a family, baking cookies, and honestly just everyone getting together.
  • What's your favorite food to eat around the holiday? My favorite sweet to eat around the holidays would either be cookies or fruitcake, honestly. You also can't go wrong with a ham dinner. Though overall every year for Christmas breakfast my Great Grandmother makes biscuits with Chocolate gravy, it's delicious and she only makes it on Christmas.
  • How/When/Where/Who do you celebrate with? My family gets together every year, through every branch of my family. Typically at one of my (great) grandparents houses.

  • Do you celebrate Christmas, or another end of year holiday?
    • I celebrate Christmas, it's my absolute favorite time of the year.
  • What's your favorite tradition of the holiday you celebrate?
    • There's a bunch of small things like advent calendars that I love doing each year. But then my other one that I'm sure everyone does is opening 1 present on Christmas-Eve, we don't get to pick and it's usually one of the smaller things, but it's always been a tradition with my family.
  • What's your favorite food to eat around the holiday?
    • Christmas is for ham, so ham usually. But I will always enjoy mac and cheese or deviled eggs around the holiday.
  • How/When/Where/Who do you celebrate with?
    • Usually at my house, my parents are divorced so Christmas has always been split up in that we would start the morning at one parent and then go to the other parent at the end of the day. My family is big so it's always a bunch of my family members, my sister as well as he husband and my cousins.

    • I'm gonna be super cheesy right now and I don't care. This year I get to receive items from Yigit that I'm looking forward to getting and I also get to send Christmas gifts to him as well to make sure he has a super good Christmas. I'm excited and done being cheesy!

  • Do you celebrate Christmas, or another end of year holiday?
  • Christmas and New Years. I'm pretty basic.
  • What's your favorite tradition of the holiday you celebrate?
  • Christmas tree decorating. You can be awfully creative with that, but I mostly just chuck the lights up, the ornaments, and then dig around in the attic for the star to put on top.
  • What's your favorite food to eat around the holiday?
  • EGGNOG.
  • How/When/Where/Who do you celebrate with?
  • My mother, my brother, and I all open up presents and watch Christmas movies for the entirety of Christmas Day. You'd think that after watching A Christmas Story a few times that it would get old, but that one has surprising rewatchability. Home Alone and Home Alone 2 are also classics.
    >tfw no Punished Kevin sequel

  • It's basically a tradition to overdose on eggnog every Christmas. At my work, you can buy all kinds of stuff during your break, but the rule is that you can't actually store anything in the break room. The sad part of that is, the cashier who scans the half gallon of eggnog I bought knows I'm going to chug it out back and be sick for the rest of the shift. Included is a mini eggnog review.
  • GOLDEN EGGNOG: This is your classic, go-to eggnog. You really can't get better than this.
  • VANILLA EGGNOG: Feels like you're drinking melted vanilla ice cream but it's still pretty good.
  • PUMPKIN EGGNOG: Do yourself a favor and skip on this one.
  • ALMOND EGGNOG: It's decent. Definitely go for this one if you're vegan or lactose intolerant. If you're not vegan/lactose intolerant, then just get the golden.
  • LIGHT GOLDEN EGGNOG: I know where you're coming from but why? Eggnog is not eggnog without the heavy feeling you experience afterward.
  • COUNTRY EGGNOG: Pretty good. It's no golden, but you could definitely do worse.
  • SOUTHERN COMFORT EGGNOG: This one is somewhere in the middle of the eggnog bunch. I'm not particularly fond of it, but I don't dislike it either.
  • SOY/RICE NOG: Please don't.
