...----====[=]=[+]=[=]====----...

The great cohesion of cultures was upon them.

The morning was chilly when the first passenger ship had arrived. Beforehand, infrequent traders and merchants would travel between the continents, bringing tabacca and pipes to Regalia, and returning with wayfaring scholars or linguists stowed away on their vessels. The sight of a Tarchlann was rare, and as of yet none had settled in Regalia. However, with the sound of distant thunder to greet them, the first ship came, bringing with it about a dozen Tarchlann who had been studying with a Regalian linguist to prepare them for their immersion.

After that, more ships began to dock with dozens more Tarchlann studying with more linguists. Throughout the next few weeks, a number of passenger ships had docked full and left empty. While dockmasters and guards were wary at first, the Tarchlann had done nothing too disruptive. Most of them were eager to learn and teach, and those with other motives kept them to themselves, no matter how benign or sinister.

The time had finally come. The Tarchlann were integrating into Regalia.

Tips for Tarchlann
  • Tarchlann are not a race -- they are a Human culture, with two distinct sub-cultures: Muirdians and Kifchuun Nomads.
    • Muirdians often believe they should live symbiotically with nature, while Kifchuun Nomads often feel they're subservient to nature and its whims.
    • Muirdians speak Tarchlóir, based on real-world Celtic. Kifchuun speak Kifchuni, based on real-world Mongolian.
    • Primal Magic is much more abundant for Muirdians than it is for Kifchuun Nomads.
  • The Osir State has started conquering lands around the Syvia Collective, which has made many Muirdians uneasy.
  • The Kifchuun Nomads still keep their chaotic history in mind, often citing the Last Clash and the Iaxus as a reason to behave and be respectful.
  • Common is not the first language for Tarchlann. While at this point, it can be justified for a Tarchlann to be able to communicate and hold conversations, keep in mind that their culture and languages are entirely different from the rest of the world's.
  • Divinity of Maard is illegal in Regalia. Tarchlann are encouraged to convert to Unionism as soon as possible. However, Tarchlann that don't practice Divinity of Maard openly are often overlooked. There is a location IC (but not IG) deep in the sewers where Tarchlann can practice worship and perform Naming Rituals.

Regalian Opportunities
  • Linguists have been going back and forth to help teach Common and help learn the languages of the distant continent. Regardless, finding teachers and students to help integrate Tarchlann into Regalian culture provide an excellent opportunity for interaction.
  • Primal Magic is treated like other magic in Regalia: Primal Mages caught casting will be sent to the Azure Order. However, due to the strange nature of the magic, they don't have a specific protocol to handle primal mages. A primal mage character who's captured can assume they've gone through the academy and simply been collared as a reminder not to cast.
  • There is a location IC (but not IG), deep in the sewers, where Regalians can undergo a Naming Ritual and gain access to Primal Magic. You can either have your character legitimately learn about it during roleplay, or assume they know its location through word of mouth. This means Regalians can learn primal magic!
  • Tabacca is a common commodity now.

IC Implications
In-character rumors that have been floating about since the introduction of Tarchlann:
  • If a means for casting charms has been available this entire time in this bizarre world, what else can be a means of casting a primal charm?
  • The Last Clash occurred around 0 AC. Did the effects of the Cataclysm span all the way to Muird?
  • The abundance of Primal Energy on Muird is what gives spirits form. Could it be that there are invisible spirits floating outside the continent, or in other places on Aloria?
  • What else do these spirits affect? What exactly are they? Are they Voidlings, Existlings, something else entirely?

Well, this is definitely something
Also, am i the only one who wants to see the rest of that image?
