HEAR YE, HEAR YE, ON BEHALF OF ALL SIGNATORIES, THE STALWART BASTION FACTION IS ANNOUNCED On the 7th of November, 309 AC, Grand Duke Theopold Castley and Duchess Vanya Oloran joined together to form The Stalwart Bastion. They bear the color green in Court. Faction Tenets Moral Authority - Bastionists believe the ultimate moral authority of a civil group lies with their organized faith. Bastionists always recognize and advocate for Unionism as the Empire's premier faith, and believe Unionism should have a further role in Regalian society. However, Bastionists do not believe in violently oppressing non-Unionist faiths and are tolerant to those who have proven to support the Emperor. Advancing the Empire - Bastionists eagerly seek to advance the Empire’s borders militarily, and keep the Regalian Empire at the forefront of technological discoveries in order to crush its illegitimate foes. Feudal Rights - Bastionists are staunch supporters of the Feudal Contract and believe a strong Empire is backed by empowered noble houses who are fully submitted to the Crown. Education - Bastionists seek to expand methods of research and ultimately offer education to all the Empire’s citizens. Membership In order to join the Bastion Faction, pen a letter to Grand Duke Castley who will then initiate a vote at the next Faction Meeting to decide whether the candidate will embrace the faction’s values. A 2/3 vote will be required for the candidate to be formally accepted into the Bastion Faction. The same is required of a removal from the faction. This also carries over to Upper House assemblies. Decisions other than admission of new members and the expelling of current members are made by a simple majority vote.
