House Cadieux du Lierre invites those noblest of Peers who share the Holiest of Cities serving underneath our Holy Emperor Alexander I to a night unlike no other; a night underneath the light of the moon, celebrating those blessed by her serene touch and those who carry the light of the sun within their souls. We speak, of course, of the debutante and the bachelor, who enter into our fair Regalian society this spring to offer their talents to our Empire in its most dire hour and take their places among our ranks as those able to serve and give to those around us.

We dedicate this night to the Revelry Faction, whose ideals sing on high, and inspire us to work so tirelessly ever further and ever onward towards that goal to bring the Empire further, together. @MonMarty

    Who:
Any of-age nobleman or woman, regardless of a past debut, who wants to participate. We of the peacock House Cadieux du Lierre firmly believe that spring is a time of renewal and reinvention; if you want to show what you have become, we would be honored to witness what you have changed into.

    What:
A debutante ball perfect to launch a spring and summer social season of matching and courting, as well as signal to the wider Peerage that one is ready to take on more responsibility and weight upon their shoulders for their Empire.

    When:
    Friday, March 11 @ 7 PM EST / 6 PM CST / 12 AM GMT

    • ᴅᴇʙᴜᴛᴀɴᴛᴇ ᴀɴᴅ ʙᴀᴄʜᴇʟᴏʀ ɪɴғᴏʀᴍᴀᴛɪᴏɴ 》The true stars of the event. The blooms of our current scene, and our future leaders.
      • House heads will submit to House Cadieux du Lierre by Friday, March 4 a list of their participating bachelors and debutantes. No late registrations will be accepted because of the preparation on the hosting side we have to do. Registration must be done by March 4. This will come over extended letter only [Forum DM @canaaa only; I will lose it if it comes over regular DM] and include the following:
        • Name of debutante or bachelor [IGN and Discord so I can send them/help them with the debutante/bachelor skin edit]
        • Age of debutante or bachelor
        • Preference and status of debutante or bachelor
        • Hobbies
        • Interests
      • Debutantes and bachelors will be read out in order of ascending title weight, first by individual merit, and then by familial weight. Our announcer will give each and every one their moment to shine under the light of the moon or the sun, and then the ball’s first dance will begin.
        • Please have emotes written and planned ahead of time, and kept to one line each!
      • Debutantes and bachelors will dance together for the first dance of the ball, which will be the Danse des Étoiles - these will be identifiable by their matching floral crowns, distributed the day of the ball for every registered debutante or bachelor.
      • Debutantes and bachelors participating in the event will also open themselves up to the competition aspect of the event: the awards to be won for a wholehearted effort to do well in things a noble ought, and the prize for behavior we as a collective reward. House Cadieux du Lierre, as hosts of this lovely event, will be acting as judges and therefore cannot win any prizes.
        • Anyone who wins a prize should be prepared to make a brief, one-to-three-line speech.
        • Debutantes and bachelors should loudly emote (+) their dancing. [ We asked for a dance floor big enough to accommodate this in our world decoration request, so it shouldn’t be too bad. ]
        • Dances will be 15 OOC minutes each.
        • Dances will have accompanying music in a Hyperbeam we’ll set up, and we’ll try to have enough for everyone. Links will be shared with effort made to have enough for everyone- free rooms only have 50 spaces, so we’ll try to fill different rooms with different people and all start at the same time so that everyone gets the same experience.
      • Rehearsal balls will be hosted by the House to prepare those who may not be familiar with the process of a debutante or who wish to sharpen their skills before the big night. These rehearsal events will occur on February 4, February 25, and March 4 at 7 EST in the Ithanian Quartet Ballroom. Steps and practical advice will be given, as well as preliminary judging for awards and prizes.

    • ᴅᴀɴᴄᴇ ᴄᴀʀᴅ ɪɴғᴏʀᴍᴀᴛɪᴏɴ 》Dance cards are distributed to every House, one for each lady residing therein and customized with her name written in golden calligraphic lettering. The covers of the booklets reveal a twisted laurel with pink and white peonies woven through and are paired with simple mechanical pens that flow with emerald-green ink.
      • The first dance will be a traditional waltz.
      • The second dance will be an Ithanian-styled minuet.
      • The third dance will be a Daendroque sarabande.
      • The fourth dance will be a Dressolini Canario dance.
      • The fifth dance will be a lively Ithanian gigue to get the blood flowing before awards are given out.
      • Further noncompetition dancing in the evening will be done post-awards ceremony with song requests given to the musicians.
