"You are NOTHING!!!"
"Don't give in Dack..."
"We're here for you my love."
The Sundial would let out a loud sigh as the voices continued. "When will it end? When will it bloody end?" He'd again whisper.
"Soon." A new voice would softly speak in a dark, corrupt voice which cut through the other three. "It will all end soon." The same voice would echo in the Sundial's head.
As time slowly progressed, the three voices would grow louder by the minute and poor Connak would end up covering his ears which did him no good.
"SHUT IT!!! ALL OF YOU!!!" Connak would close his eyes and scream as he came to the boiling point. The voices only grew louder which caused the Sundial to scream the same words repeatedly. Each time he screamed, the voices grew louder then suddenly...
The voices stopped... Silence...
Connak slowly opened his eyes and still saw he was in his house though it was dark. To his suspicion, Connak had thought he had died. Quickly, he took up his dagger and made a little cut on the palm of his left hand. The cut stinged as Connak confirmed he wasn't dead. As he put his dagger back where he found it, all he could hear was the eerie sound of silence. In a bit of a panic, he would start to worry that he had gone deaf. "Cripe!" He'd say in the panic and then had confirmation he hadn't gone deaf either. He'd sigh with relief as he then moved back into his bed.
The Sundial would slowly close his eyes in order to try and sleep. Try as he might, he couldn't. His mind was racing topic to topic quicker than an Avanthar on a horse. Eventually, Connak's paranoid mind would come to a stop as he started to imagine a peaceful, sunny, breezy forest. A calm would wash over any thoughts he would have as he imagined the forest. Slowly, he fell asleep as a crow cawwed just outside of his window. The night would slowly turn to day with the warming sun shining it's warm rays of light into the Bilgecourt home. No birds sang their morning songs but when Connak arose from sleep, he felt calm. He saw everything the same, he thought the same, he spoke the same. He heard... The sound of silence.

The Sound of Silence
"It's the same old story, all over again. I can't sleep, I can't focus on much, these voices need to go." Is what a paranoid Connak whispers into the night as he lies awake in bed, with the echos of the voices in his head.
