Established in the year of His Holiness 311 AC, The Sortelle are a Chapter of the State Metropolitan, led by Commissioner Meriya Cavaal Bel-Ylesse. The Sortelle is a Chapter recognizable by its Sigil, that of the Great Va'sil Oak, and is largely composed of Magic Users and those with Pro-Occult or Occult-Neutral leanings.

✦ REGARDING RECRUITMENT..
Recruitment to the Chapter is usually handled on an individual basis, either by recommendation by an existing member, or by penning a letter to Commissioner Cavaal. The process outside the letter and meeting is fairly simple, an individual's combative or magical skill will be tried in a light spar or Trial, and their aptitude for judgment tried during the interview. Passing these two requirements will see an individual approved for service amongst the Sortelle Chapter.
✦ OOC INFORMATION..
The Sortelle are a Chapter under the new structure of the State Metropolitan, led OOCly by Stellarrix. We are open to recruitment of new Constables, as well as welcoming experienced individuals who don't have a Chapter to belong to at the moment. The Chapter is largely formed of Magic Users, with the widely held belief that the Occult is a tool for the Empire to wield to its benefit.
