Story Summary:
We follow the perspective of the Mysterious Knight revealed to be Lord Lauret, the youngest brother of the Evil Prince. Upon receiving a letter that the heir to the throne has gone missing, the knight with the company of the Moon-Princess Celeste venture to the Kingdom of Ardenia. A very enriching land full of culture, fashion, art and lots of partying. We explore the backstory of the knight and how he ended up in the lands of Moonriver Valley, we see the complicated relationship he has with the Prince, his brother.
The story truly begins with the investigation of the disappearance of the Prince, and we are lead to believe it has something to do with the wicked bat-demons. We are introduced to the new cast of characters such as Lady Pompadour, Lady Fleur , Lord Highthorn and more, but it is clear that there is a deep secret. Without any answers the knight and Moon-Princess complete multiple quest's, puzzles and trials, seeking out different characters to find the truth. Despite many characters and dangers preventing them from finding the truth they eventually discover the missing Prince was cursed and had become the Evil Prince, and now the leader of the bat-demon army. The Evil Prince wanted to prove to the emperor, the empire and the whole continent how powerful he could be.
With the revelation of the knight's brother being the Evil Prince, and it's also revealed many of the characters knew and concealed the truth broke the protagonist, we see the knight become lost, beaten down and conflicted. The Moon-Princess by his side guided him back on his feet, the two slowly gathered their allies and strength to meet the Evil Prince on the battle field once and for all.
The Book concludes with a large battle, freeing the Evil Prince from his curse banishing the demonic bat-people and peace is restored to the Kingdom of Ardenia but the happy end was yet to come as there were so many wrongs to undo, and a long path of repairing and redemption for many of the characters. But the war was over, now rumors of something stirring and brewing within the Kingdoms underworld a otherworldly threat..

The Moon Princess is a story following a woman named Celeste who after the death of her father departs to live with a knight in Moonriver Valley, Celeste inherits an ancient storybook from her father that tell's the tale of the Moon Curse, a plague that causes the people of Moonriver Valley to fall into a endless sleep. The Story follows the Princess and Mysterious Knight to save Moonriver Valley, The story follows bloody battles fought by the Knight and complex puzzles solved by the Princess with a grim ending of sacrifice.
The book came under harsh criticism in 304Ac when a journalist released a review claiming the book was "bloody and depicts unnecessary violence" and deemed to "inappropriate" for children. Despite the harsh critique, slander and attempts to make the novel political, The Moon Princess was successfully sold all over Ithania and Lorraine proceeded to take a book tour from the wealth she gained from the publication.

Evil Prince: Brother to the main protagonist and heir to the throne, he is often depicted as very calm, wickedly handsome , cunning, charming and incredibly witty with a sharp tongue. Also revealed to be the story's main villain and leader of the bat-demons.
Princess Pompadour: Wife to the Evil Prince, and sister-in-law to the main protagonist, the Lady is often described being hysterical yet also thrilled at the disappearance of her husband at the start of the book. She is portrayed as sassy, mean, fierce and bossy but with kind intentions, she is however oblivious to all the evil around her choosing to dismiss it and ignore it. Notably this character is the fan favorites' of many rich Ithanian women.
Lady Fleur Pon Thornbottom: The first lady to the Princess Pompadour and high figure in the courts, Fleur is depicted as compliant, obedient. Outwardly just as naïve as the other ladies of the court, in secret she acknowledges the true evil and gives the protagonist hints throughout the entire book.
The Commander: Leader of the whimsical army, a mighty platoon of warriors all of different legends, fairytales and creatures that live in the forest of Moonriver Valley. It's revealed that the Commander trained the protagonist and taught him everything to know, often depicted as a fatherly and a wise man who fights with a iron fist but leads with a heart of gold. He returns in the second book leading his Whimsical army against the wicked bat-people to aid the protagonist in the final battle.
Scorching Priestess Lenora: A more prominent figure in the first book, the Priestess is the guardian and protector of the people of Moonriver Valley, depicted as a taller woman who wields a large burning sword that can break a mountain in two, seen as wise, protective, humble and vigilant the Priestess returns at at the final battle in the sequel to help the protagonist strike down the Evil Prince. Notably this character was a fan favorite's of a small literatures club of ithanian women.
Fairy Queen Tulia: A brief character from the first book, Queen Tulia is Queen of the fairies, who lives and rules over the forest of the Whimsical. A blessed healer who can cure any sickness, her faeries are the creatures who plant herbs for humans and elves to harvest for medicines. Depicted as stoic, calm, wise, kind and hard-working she returns in the second book at the last battle to heal the Evil Prince of his curse.
Lord Halzagar Highthorn: Squire to the Evil Prince and Cousin to the protagonist, depicted as helplessly morale , unjustly good, effortlessly kind and reckless. Throughout the book we see him guide the protagonist, it is revealed he is a traitor having been enslaved by the Evil Prince and forced to become a messenger and to betray the protagonist. By the end he is redeemed and cured by the Queen and General Veigaire. Notably this character is a fan favorite by many young squires and adolescents boys who can relate to the characters hardships and trials.
Fae General Veigaire : General and emissary for the Queen Tuila, a minute character in the book, briefly seen at the start of the book in the Kingdom for emissary business' it's revealed Veigaire despises the Evil Prince and his entire family including the protagonist but excluding Lord Highthorn who soon became his only reason to visit the wretched human kingdom. He is seen at the end of the book coming to battle for the sole reason to find Lord Highthorn and cure him.
The Engineer: Royal engineer and craftsman she is depicted as quiet, calm , unhygienic, humorous and carefree. She is temporarily enslaved by the Evil Prince and forced to craft a dangerous weapon for the prince, to forge a flying castle in the sky. However it is revealed the Engineer is secretly Fae and thus able to break the curse. She warns the protagonist and is the one to reveals the truth uncaring of the consequences.
Death: Depicted as mysterious, deadly, calm, cunning and evil. The marksman has no face, no appearance other then a shadowy silhouetted nightmare. While the Evil Prince may of been the villain of the story, this was the protagonist's worst fear. It is unknown what they want, they are seen throughout the story trying to assassinate the protagonist's loved ones, tormenting him, mocking him knowing exactly how to weaken him. By the end of the book their motives are left unknown and the Protagonist is left haunted.
Bat-Demons: The creatures the Evil Prince rules over, his army of demonic bat-like creatures who devour humans and love plucking the wings of fairies. They are written and described as humans who once strayed from the path of good and justice, and became selfish and cruel. The Author's intentions are very clear that they are trying to scare adolescence away from the temptation of curse's.
Wicked Green Witch: A minute character in the story depicted as bone-shiveringly calm with a sinister intelligence beneath her appearance. Apart of a other-worldly cult , this cultist appears very briefly when the protagonist is lost in the maze of the underworld. Unrelated to the events of the Evil Prince but evil in her own right she teaches the Protagonist not all beings are inherently evil very similar to the protagonist's own brother the Evil Prince.
Unknown Cultist Leader:[/B] Depicted as ancient and wise, cruel , quiet , intimidating and hidden by shadow and cloth. This mysterious cultist appears while the Protagonist is lost in the underworld. He tells the protagonist that the answers he seeks are not in the underworld. It is clear these cultist's are not directly related to the current events in the story but it is implied they may be prominent in future books.
