The Runaway

The sound of heavy breathing, and the sound of feet hitting the ground could be heard as young Kathar ran. He was draped in light rags that didn't provide any warmth in the chilly month of November. The young Kathar turned his head to look behind him to see if he was being pursued when he saw that he wasn't he turned his head back around only to run into an old man. The pair fell to the ground as the Kathar ran into the man falling onto the man. He was still breathing heavily as he spoke, "Sorry...I didn't see ye." the Old Man looked up at the young Kathar sighing a little his tough voice heard as he spoke, "Now need to worry young one. Hmm, who are you running from then?" the young Kathar would seem worried as he spoke, "My slave master…" the Old Man Would nod as he sat up going to lift the child off of him so he was now sitting besides him, "Ah, well we should get you somewhere safe so you aren't found." The Old Man Would stand up now with the use of a cane gesturing for the Kathar to follow. The Kathar would hesitantly follow speaking lightly as he followed, "What's your name..?" The Old Man would turn his head towards the Kathar, "My name is Gavriel, what about yourself young one?" The young Kathar would lightly speak, "My name's Falik..most Just call me Fal. Where are we headin'?" Gavriel would continue walking as he spoke, "We are going to my home." the Kathar Would nod, Gavriel speaking once again, "You will be safe with my daughter and I. We will take care of you." Falik would hesitantly nod as he followed.

After around thirty minutes the pair would arrive at Gavriel's House. The pair had been talking the entire walk to the mans home. When they arrived at the door Gavriel would once again speak, "We have arrived young one." he'd move to open the door and spoke once more gesturing to the kitchen table, "Take a seat while I fetch my daughter." Falik would nod as he walked past Gavriel heading for the chairs at the table, taking a seat he'd look around at the small house, looking towards the stairs as he heard a pair of people walking down the stairs he heard Gavriel and the one he assumed to be his daughter speaking, "He's a young runaway slave, we could raise him. I was hoping you'd be a mother figure for the young boy." she'd nod as she walked down to see Falik, Falik would be staring at the young women who looked to be in her mid twenties. She smiled as she walked over to Falik, kneeling in front of him, "My name is Gabriella, my father said your name was Falik correct?" Falik would hesitantly nod, "You'll be safe with us, I'll make sure you are well taken care of." Falik would softly speak, "Thank you…" Gabriella would offer a sweet smile along with a soft kiss to Falik's temple, "Let's get you a bath and some clean clothes, does that sound okay?" Falik would nod, "How old are you them Falik?" Falik would take his time before holding up ten fingers, "Ah, you really are a young boy. Hmm, I'm twenty-five." Falik would reach up to her hair gently feeling it, "Your hair is soft.." Gabriella would smile and nod, "I try to keep it that way." She'd stand up and gesture for him to follow, "Let's get you a bath."

After twenty minutes of Gabriella bathing Falik the pair would walk out of the bathroom and Gabriella would hand him some clothes, Falik would take them and put them on them going to hug Gabriella tightly, Gabriella hugged him back, "You're safe with us. You don't need to run anymore."
