Welcome to the new Regalian Sewers!
The new Regalian Sewers. Confusing? Yes. Several levels? For sure! Danger? ALWAYS AND EVERYWHERE! With the release of the new sewers I would like to showcase some of the most unique spots, give you some information on the new sewers, and help you to find the exit without being hunted by Sanguines, Sewer Rats or Bandits.
With the release of the new sewers, we thought that we lost the sewer tavern, but that is wrong. The tavern got a massive update; from a small room to a monstrous ship, which is now floating upon the new shimmering lake found in the brighter areas of the new sewers. Countless criminals, mages and outlawed creatures lurk the sewers, just as many ordinary folk do, looking to get a good drink (Which is watered down!) or just to relax from their daily life. "The Corpse in the Gutter" is one such hub in which to socialise with the mischievous fellows mentioned above.
Another highlight is the Nelfin bar which can be found on the other end of the sewers for all you knife-ears. Do you want to get some nice food which isn't poisoned? Well, just take a stroll on down to "The Home Grove" and taste one of the most delicious pieces of meat that the sewer has to offer! Meet other Nelfins, talk about the current events, have a cool drink and enjoy the sounds of music and children running around the tree (or ignore tose loud screams).
But watch out; the sewers aren't peaceful at all! Several smaller hallways, different levels to walk and hide on, and especially the dark waters below... filled with dangerous and ravenous creatures. I doubt that you would like to become a Maiars meal or be hunted by a horde of Sanguines. As such, how about you rent one of the +90 properties (as soon as the rental regions are set up)? Build yourself a home in the darkness, hide away from the law and enjoy a few fights on the 'streets'.
Are you in need of any special items and materials? Well, then you can visit the new Black Market! Buy Obscura, Nightshade, Wood, Food or even forgotten artifacts from the shady shopkeepers or even create your own shop and business! But watch out, you may purchase a rotten ahop and end up breaking through the wooden floor only to get an unwanted shower from the canal vents.
If you just want to live in peace and away from the grubby mitts of the Empire, look no further than the small 'Tree Village' found hidden within the deeper parts of the sewers! Several trees grow around the houses and fresh water supplies can be seen all over the area. It also seems like they have a gate to protect themselves from unwanted attackers such as Sanguines, Bandits, and other creatures. And should they try to break through the gate, the inhabitants can simply move into another part of the village and cut the bridge off, just to leave the area through one of the other canals.
However, don't forget one thing; You are never alone in the sewers and some red glowing eyes will watch you on your steps, vines will try to catch you or you might notice a void portal opening somewhere around you. The Gangs and Organisations of the sewers still exist and are waiting on their chance to take control over the sewers once again. Take it from us, there will be new gangs aplenty who are ready to stab you in the back with a smile on their faces in order to gain what they want. You could, however, create your own or join an existing gang! With plenty of large (and sought after) player bases down beneath the city, it's not only possible for you to start your own group, but it's entirely plausible too. So don't let the opportunities escape you!
And even if you get lost in the new sewers, how about you follow our map? It will lead you on the fastest route back out of the sewers and towards the fresh air. Nevertheless, we hope to see you in-game; in Regalia, or should we say… 'beneath it'.
(Also, some tunnels may be longer, having a corner etc due to the overall size of the map)
