The Regalian Sellswords are the collective individual and organised mercenaries that operate legally within the Regalian Empire. They act as mercenaries, privateers, house guards, bouncers, bodyguards, trainers, and everything in between. If approved by the Freisoldner Inspector, these sellswords are granted a variety of rights and may receive work from any willing contractors in the Empire. Despite this, mercenaries do have limitations placed upon them in their work.
- Regalian Sellswords may not be an active member of another Military Order (,Regalian Guard, Rosewood, Etc) The exception is the Black Hand, White Order, and non-active Viridian Knights.
- Regalian Sellswords may not hold an active office in the Curia Militum. All other Government Positions are technically allowed, but ill-advised and will be under intense scrutiny.
- Regalian Sellswords can be of any race, social class, gender, or Imperial approved faith.
- Regalian Sellswords must be of Fighter Rank or higher in a known Military School, or else they must pass a military exam to be considered (done via an ic letter to Jared Kade (@LumosJared) in pm).
- Regalian Sellswords must be at least 20 years of age. They may come from any Race, Class, Gender, or Creed.
- Regalian Sellswords must pay a quarter of their earnings to the Regalian Government. All sellswords operating outside the Regalian Sellsword Companies, within the Regalian Empire, are not acting within the law and subject to arrest and taxation.
- Regalian Sellswords must always act in the utmost loyalty to the Emperor. It is understood that the Regalian Empire will pay back any debt that is made through acts of loyalty.
- Regalian Sellswords must act in accordance to all Regalian Laws that do not directly impact their duties. The guilt of law-breakers is left to the Freisoldner Inspector.
- Regalian Sellswords must obey orders from, in order of primary loyalty: the Emperor, the Freisoldner Inspector, and the Undercrown.
- Regalian Sellswords must not kill in their defense of the Empire unless the lives of a noble, a government title holder, or the royal family are threatened. The guilt of the Sellsword is left to the Freisoldner Inspector.
Mercenary Rights granted onto the approved Regalian Sellswords.
- Regalian Sellswords are granted an instant Weapon and Armor Permit (non military weapons and hardware, and armor only up to half-plate).
- Regalian Sellswords may perform citizen arrest, and further hunt down wanted criminals and act as bounty hunters. If caught, they must bring them to the Bluesteel for processing.
- Regalian Sellswords may live in and use the Freisoldner Keep as their home and training grounds.
- Regalian Sellswords may take work from any wealthy family or individual within the Regalian Empire, so long as they inform the Freisoldner Inspector when they accept the contract.
- Regalian Sellswords may come together to form their own Guilds and Organizations for seclusion and possible extended rights at the will of the Freisoldner Inspector.
- Make sure to include a full character name.
- Make sure to include a link to an approved Character application.
- Make sure to include your skype username so you can be added to the relevant chat, if approved.
- Make sure to include a personal IC appeal of appraisal to the Freisoldner Inspector, Jared Kade (played by @LumosJared), where the applicant must convince and essentially "brag" about their abilities, history, and intentions as a sellsword.
- The right to openly carry weapons and wear armor in Regalia
- The right to hunt down wanted criminals and act as bounty hunters.
- The right to freely enter and use the Mercenary Keep.
- The right to be employed by Noble Families for Protection services.
- The right to form their own Mercenary Guilds under the Mercenary Commander
