This organization does not exist to interfere with the Gangs and Organizations of the Slums, rather to prevent these conflicts from spreading outside of this area. To contain these territorial wars and power shifts while safeguarding those members of society who do not swear their livelihood to crime and damnation. With purity and justice we are the salvation against the wicked. The poor will not be forgotten. Not this time. ~~

The Rat's Militant, also known as the Rat Guard, is a small militia styled organization formed under the blessing of Her Grace the Rat Queen, Moji Shimizu. This group exists with the soul purpose of keeping the peace between the Slums and the main areas of the Holy City while also being the gatekeepers on the Slumside. The allegiances of these few are to the citizens whose livelihood exist behind the rotted stone walls, whose homes are nothing more than splintered oak and hardened mud. Peace is the only solution, conflict is the last resort.
The Rat's Militant will cooperate with the Regalian Guard Charters to ensure a fair and just adherence to the law is maintained. There will be times where these Charters must enter the Slums, to maintain peace and order for all citizens within the city. There will also be times where these Charters will demand a great purge, blinded by hatred and damnation. Whatever times are faced, the Rat's Militant will serve the people. For if there are no people left to serve, then there is nothing worth serving.
To serve the people, the Rat's Militant believes in community service. As such the group holds many functions involving charity and relief aid.
__Ranking:__
The Rat's Militant follow an honor system of responsibility. This is to say that all those within the system of the militia will be granted trust to carry out assignments based on a mix of IC motivations, but also OOC trust as one of the tasks will involve operating the Slums Gate. That being said there is no ranking system for the Rat's Militant, only a difference in trust among people.
The only true rank is the Commander of the Rat's Militant. This role is upheld by a veteran of the Ranger's Crisis, an Altalar who took part in several operations for the Kingdom of Thellassia leading up to, during, and after the conflict before finding his way into the heart of the Empire that broke the treaty. Many years of experience has garnered him a capable guerilla fighter and field commander.
