Slavery Outlawed, Again
Today the emperor officially made a decree, within said decree the emperor stated
their goal to outlaw the immoral practice of slavery. Although, already outlawed
slavery still occurs through out the empire. In the emperor's statement he says all
gained from slavery, and that all men and women of the empire are guilty in someway.
Some Critics say that the decree seems to lack any
actual plan to end slavery, nor does it mention Ithanian lands and Asha bondage.
The despite empire laws against slavery, they did not apply in Ithania, hence there is still
a large enslaved Asha population within their lands. They believe that it is best
for the emperor to lay out a proper plan, and not leave it up to houses, and ministries.
Although most believe this to be a good move. Economists are divided on the decision to use golems,
some believing this will lead to a boom in the newly growing industrial sector, others
believing that paid hands should be used, instead of untested technology.
-Comments from the people-
John Greenstein "The emperor is gonna stick it to those slave loving, Ithanian bastards"
Pickleson Cartwright "The darn empire is shooting em self in the foot"
Oliver Fur'inion "What life will the slaves have after they are freed? How will they feed em selfs?"
Fur'u Od'ger "Those darn slavers, gonna get whats coming to them"

The Soren Disaster
Regalian soldiers sent to Soren meet their end to waves of vampires
using modern Regalian tactics. This is a massive military disaster
thousands of Regalian soldiers are dead, thousands more
turned into the vile creatures they were fighting.
What, was supposed to be a normal military operation
towards the surrendering Soren capital leads to a disastrous military defeat.
On the way towards the capital of the Soren, the Regalian army were given warnings by the people
warnings which were ignored, they begged the troops to turn around and leave.
When arriving to the kings castle, armies of vampires swarmed out, and using regalia's own
tactics against it, massacre the entire Regalian force.
Multiple house armies are currently stranded in the collapsing
Soren state, fighting off fleeing and panicked Soren armies, and vampires. We can only
pray that these soldiers will be able to return home.

The Failed "Blitzkrieg"
The Blitzkrieg is a military term coined by Wirem strategist, Herman Guenther,
the term is not referring to any particular tactic, but instead a military buzz word
for a speedy advance. In Wirtem the term means "Lighting Conflict."
Despite the untested nature; and lack of nature, of this tactic,
Allestane Delmotte, decided to but Herman's bolt of lighting
to the test. Leading their army, and parts of the Westmark army, to
defeat the Hvitskaggers forces within Nordstag. This
tactic ends in complete failure, for varying reasons.
Hvitskaggers are nomadic people, so when Allestane's forces
tried to make a quick thrust towards their encampments, they found.. nothing, but empty homes.
The exhausted men forced to march for days in cold weather, in order
to make the "Blitzkrieg" an actual blitz, found themselves far away
from supplies, water, and warmth. Thousands of Regalian
soldiers lost their life due to the cold, or starvation. There are some
reports of cannibalism. The Hvitskaggers achieved a decisive victory, without
swinging a blade. The forces of Allestane were greatly weakend. Military
generals claim that it is best that the term
Blitzkrieg be put in the closet, at it is clearly
not a viable tactic in modern warfare. It is just a theory, a theory which failed
to deliver.
