The Ocularist Sect
![a6WAWiX.png](https://i.imgur.com/a6WAWiX.png)
What is the Ocularist Sect?
The Ocularist Sect is a group dedicated in service to the Unionist Great Way that has become malcontent with the current state of the Synod and wishes to see change brought into the Unionist Faith through essay writing, communal worship and perhaps even peaceful demonstrations to try and push change in the Unionist people.
The Ocularist Sect does not believe the Synod should be deconstructed, or are useless, and in fact, admire and revere the Reverends of the Synod for their work. The belief is instead that the Unionist Synod has run out of fresh ideas for changes to Synodical Law, and that in order to keep up with the rapidly changing Regalian Empire change needs to be prompted and ideas suggested by the faithful.
Ocularists have a series of strong goals that are for the moment remaining hidden from the public for the sake of interference by other Unionist Sects. The leader, who simply refers to himself as the Acolyte, meets with individuals on a one on one basis. What can be confirmed is that the Ocularist Sect seeks to make religious roleplay enjoyable once more,
Who can be in the Ocularist Sect?
The Ocularist Sect is open to all, Commoner and Nobleman, Guard or Criminal, so long as the individual in question has not committed themselves to a heretical affliction such as Vampirism or Possession, and is most certainly not a Kathar/Sihndar, for their position as Daemonspawn-Elves, unless their ears are clipped and their name Imperialised. There are consequences for joining as a heretic or individual of heretical birth, such as being a Mage, Silven or Witchblood, though the only punishment or scolding given for these will be a blindfold and guide for each meeting.
Alternatively, specific individuals may be selected to be summoned to meet with the Acolyte due to their apparent necessity to the Great Way.
Who are you?
Heh, I'd say find out but what would be the fun in that? So I'll drop a hint. I have been a long member of Massivecraft for many years, and am wholly invested in the maintenance of religious roleplay that seems to have become a little stale and unchanged while the rest of the lore and world advances around it.
There is a possible reveal to come as to who leads the Sect.
I look forward to forum PMs from anyone interested. Questions may be asked if you have anything on your mind about the organisation, and I will try to ask without going 'LEL FIND OUT IC SCRUB'. This thread will act as a member count, to demonstrate to Lore Staff how active the organisation is, as well as an update thread for essays, events and activities, including rumours, that may spread about the Sects actions.
Much love,

How do I find the Ocularist Sect?
Quite simple really, simply send a forum message to me and a scenario will be concocted where your character can begin to interact and enter into/with the group.Alternatively, specific individuals may be selected to be summoned to meet with the Acolyte due to their apparent necessity to the Great Way.
