I N T R O D U C T I O N
The Nordhjem Armada represents the tangible expression of House Nordhjem's military and commercial power. Its long-running objectives include the exploration of new lands and expansion for the glory of the Empire. Above all, the Nordhjem Armada prides itself on the discipline of its sailor core and its devotion to the core principles of the family.
The Leading Admiral of the family, Count Asger Nordhjem av Medelpad, asserts three values that drive naval supremacy, and those interested in joining should look to exemplify these.

C O M M A N D S T R U C T U R E
Grand Admiral: The Grand Admiral commands the full strength of the armada, with authority second only to the house's leadership. In times of war, the Grand Admiral reserves the authority to enact the House's battle strategy.
Vice-Admiral: The Vice Admiral position is available to those looking to play an advisory role in the armada. Vice-Admirals are expected to take charge in the Grand Admiral's stead should the latter be predisposed.
Captain: Captains are individuals who hold sway over a single ship. While the expectation of loyalty to the Grand Admiral is paramount, ultimately the value of power delegation is respected in regards to crew management. Captains are expected to be held accountable for the actions of those under them, and should carry respect for the position.
First Mate: First Mates are the second-in-command of their ships. They are expected to show loyalty to their Captain and aid them in the managing of the ship. First Mates also make sure that other Sailors are doing their normal duties. In the event that a Captain is unable to continue their duty due to an injury or death, the First Mate will take control of the ship until they return.
Sailors: Sailors are the lowest rung of the command structure, but are held to similar standards as the other ranks. Here you will often find the Armada's medics and religious figures. Overall, they form the majority of those sailing under the Nordhjem banner, and are expected to represent the house with honor befitting their service.

The Flagship
The Blue Kyanprat: A Nordskaggian Galjon commanded by Count Asger Nordhjem av Medelpad, the Grand Admiral. Named after the fearsome creature in Fendarfelle of the same name, the ship boasts incredible speed and warfare capabilities.
Warships
The Northern Talon: A calemberg third line warship that is the staple of the Armada's vice-admiral. A compliment that matches the Kyanprat's pitfalls.
Dusk Owl: A girobaldin frigate currently without a captain.
The Hammer of Hunneberge: A ceardian cog currently without a captain.
The Pathfinder: A girobaldin frigate that typically takes on feats of exploration in the great expanse of Aloria. Currently without a captain.
Merchant Ships
The Taghmon Aibel: What resulted was the creation of the Faoileán class vessel, nicknamed the Seagull by the Aontaithe for its unmatched speed, both by rigging and its use of wind magic, but also being perfect for exploring with a large carry load yet no defensive capabilities. This ship is captained by Shae O'Hanlon.
The Ormen Lange: An Altalar Peth'sella that has been transformed from a slaving ship to a sailing ship with a large carrying capacity and three large sails with images of an owl on each. This ship is captained by Lord Asger Nordhjem.
The Méara-saille: An Altalar Peth'Sella made with walnut wood and a coat of black paint, making it a darker vessel than normal. A merchant ship captained by Captain Yariel Kearney.
