The New Regalian Cultural Committee: The New Regalian Cultural Committee is a group dedicated to educating and maintaining the New Regalian culture through celebration of the Calemberg region’s cultural practices and holidays. To engage in discourse in how best to maintain New Regalian culture in the Holy City To show reverence for the historic and cultural tradition of New Regalian lands To promote the use of New Regalian as a second or third language to Holy City residents To ensure all New Regalian holidays are represented and celebrated in the city To ensure the New Regalian community’s continued loyalty and service to the Empire To provide networking opportunities for New Regalian citizens among the nobility Membership: One need not be born in Calemberg or any other New Regalian lands to become a member of the New Regalian committee. A respect to the cultural importance of New Regalians in the Regalian Empire is all that is required to find themselves within the committee. Any New Regalian peer may join the committee as a member of its board with speaking and proposal rights during meeting agenda items. Only New Regalian or New Regalian-adjacent titleholders may have voting rights during committee votes. New Regalian and New Regalian-adjacent commoners and members of the peerage who are not New Regalian are welcome to attend meetings and offer input during public comment sessions on agenda items before meetings, or may alternatively raise matters of new business at the end of meetings. New Regalian titleholders are expected to show preference to New Regalian or New Regalian-adjacent citizens in their house staffs. The New Regalian Committee is intended to be an apolitical organization and does not vote as a bloc or discuss or propose laws to the Regalian Noble Assembly outside the recognized committee objectives outlined in this charter. One New Regalian or New Regalian-adjacent commoner may be voted by popular vote to be a voting member of the New Regalian Committee The Solicitor: The New Regalian Committee is led and supervised by one solicitor, the Duke Howland von Schwarzkrau, who assembles and guides the committee through agenda items, regulates order during committee discussions and maintains the direction of the committee by removing political topics irrelevant to the celebration of New Regalian language and culture.
