Assessing the Productive Potential of Cognizant Species by Means of Mathematical Classification.
By O.A. Driscol
Abstract:
Through the deliberate evaluation of the capabilities in intelligent (i.e, thinking) individuals, the calculated results from such testing can be extrapolated as to represent the average abilities of the races to which the subjects belong to. Said evaluation involves the examination of the physical, mental, psychological, and spiritual potentials in experiment subjects through various exercises.
Introduction:
The separation into categories of the various phenomena that occurs in our world is the foundation of modern natural philosophy, if not civilized society itself. Categorization brings order out of chaos, enabling learned individuals to more efficiently process any given information and come to the most correct conclusion. An uncategorized athenaeum with ten thousand articles, books, scrolls, etc. would make it impossible to find any relevant data, but the same study with its repository sorted by date, topic, and author is a nexus of learning and philosophical advancement.
What applies to the written word applies to many other subjects, including intelligent life. Insofar as philosophy has gathered presently, the various cognizant life forms can be separated most broadly into five broad categories: Human, Magus, Maia, Gorr, and Composites (most commonly referred to as 'Half-Breeds'). Each category may be further broken down into various subsections; Isldar and Avanthar for example are both categorized as Nelfin, but are irrefutably distinct from each other in a number of ways. It is at this 'race' level that these articles will focus on; specific examination of the different cultures within each race shall result in the creation of inadequately sized sample pools, and extrapolation from said results may lead to inaccuracies. In a related way, examination of the general categories will create data that is too broad to be applied in a meaningful fashion to our society.
In the pursuance of accurate results, the conductors of this experiment shall attempt to assign numerical values to tested subjects in four primary fields:

In the pursuance of accurate results, the conductors of this experiment shall attempt to assign numerical values to tested subjects in four primary fields:
- Physical (Body)
- Mental (Mind)
- Psychological (Heart)
- Spiritual (Soul)
Said tests shall be standardized, the same exercises given to every individual regardless of background. Those conducting the study are considered invalid test subjects due to prior knowledge of experiment procedures. When an adequate number of individuals from a given race are tested, the results will be compiled and published for public examination. A table containing all numerical results will be continuously updated and distributed to the public as the study goes on. It is the hope of the researchers that the information gathered here may contribute to the shaping of a more efficient tomorrow.
