The Masayan Shuffle

Inspired by the south anglian shuffle, I wrote up a ruleset with a Songaskian / Desert / Farah'Deen theme to be used by us in the Orchid, or by anyone who wants a change of pace or rules.

Drunk Score tracking
  • Everyone starts with 100, then adds their body stat.
  • Each drink is a d10 roll.
  • You subtract what you rolled from your drunk score.
  • If you reach 0 you pass out..
Cards
(Roll d13 to pull your card.)

  1. One, bask in the Sun.
Drink for five-seconds straight. Equivalent to three rolls!

  2. Two, share your brew.
Offer your drink to someone, who then takes a gulp.

  3. Three, the desert sea.
Everyone drinks. Those who did not drink the previous turn drink twice.

  4. Four, towers of Mooriye.
Name someone a Qadir under siege, they have to drink at least once every turn until a new Qadir is named. If they'd drink in a turn due to a card pulled, they don't have to drink once more.

  5. Five, try to survive.
Take a drink. If you remain standing, the next one takes a drink themselves. This continues until someone falls out of the game.

  6. Six, mirage tricks.
Take a drink together with the one sitting right across to you.

  7. Seven, beloved Lleyvan.
Appoint someone as Lley. The next turn, they will take all drinks as per the next card pulled.

  8. Eight, the Malifant Strait.
Take as many drinks as you would like. For every other (2nd) drink, everyone has to take one.

  9. Nine, a dragon's spine.
Spike your drink with a liquor and take a drink (equivalent of two drinks).

  10. Ten, an elephau pen.
Switch places with someone in the game. You both have to take a drink.

  11. Emir, a turn austere.
    All men drink.

  12. Sultana, the sun-tanned.
    All women drink.

  13. Great Masaya, the fortunate fate.
Everyone drinks once, except for you.
Will likely give the ruleset a few trial runs in the coming days, but feel free to try it out yourselves and comment what you think.

Also, appreciation for @Ampers07 to have read through the thread and provided ideas.

Aside from pulling 5 as first card it is very good
