While the Empress of Regalia was hard at work setting up her ideal Parliment, the rest of Regalia was under a very different threat. Tristan's recent destructive path through the city left many citizens without homes, wandering the streets without work or food. Violence in the streets was higher than ever, even the Queen's Guards were struggling to retain any sort of order. Starvation too was beginning to rear it's ugly head as the common folk began to starve. The poor district had already succumbed to outright chaos, and the rest of the city began to feel the effects. The various rebellion groups across the city felt this too. Resorting to outright theft, these groups could barely keep themselves fed. Every day another safehouse was discovered by the Queen's Guard, and every day pressure on the rebellion groups, above and below ground, to act out began to grow. Bounty prices on known rebels began to grow, and the feeling inside the city was akin to that of being trapped in a maze. Within the maze of Regalia, werewolf-like horrors called "The Marked" under the command of Tristan Kade attacked a warehouse controlled by Freya Lo's deathlings. They tore shipment after shipment of food to shreds, stealing what they did not outright destroy, and murdering deathlings and mortals alike. The aftermath of this was swift and brutal, with violence and panic spreading across the city at the growing lack of sustainable food. As terrible as things were inside the city, even those outside the city were not safe. But a week after news of the Emperor taking his place in the blockade, the settlements outside the walls felt the bite of a different threat. The Marked had begun to strike at those rebels sneaking food into outside settlements. It was said the surviving victims heard a clear message from their attackers, the ones that had not transformed. "Serve him, or fall." Every single rebel outside the city, no matter their loyalty, would have to contend with starvation and this newfound canine-like menace. So too would everyone trying to simply travel the forests, as Tristan had deployed the marked to stalk the forests and walls themselves. Their intention was simple; showcase the power of Tristan and the things he offered, and make it clear serving him was the only way forward for the Empire. It was no longer a question of how the rebellions would react. The question is, would they survive if they didn't?

Drake Solidor sat at his desk in the Solidor Estate. Next to him was a Schutzkraft Leutnant. "Bring the entireity of the Regalian SK to full alert. All troops should be armed with their legal weapon and dressed in armor at all times...and inform them that if any of these foolish Marked are spotted, they are to eliminate them." The Leutnant nodded and left the room. Drake returned to the various papers in front of his desk. He muttered, "Spirit save our souls..."
