Hey everyone, hope you're all enjoying 2013.

There have been some rumors circulating about a super special group of Fac Friends joining together in some kind of evil organization with their eyes set on world domination.

I just want to clear the air here and say that everything that may or may not happen is 100% in-character. OOC I'll call you friend, give you a high five and be cool. IC, who knows. Ali and Dusty (That's me!) are two different people.

This is a common issue in roleplay. People start treating the person as the avatar. You need a balance of good and 'bad' characters. Of course, what character truly thinks of themselves as bad, let alone evil? It's all about self justifications and perception.

Regardless, I just want to say that there is no actual foul play going on. I'll also not reveal any plot keypoints. >:D Bwaha.

Heck, there may not even be a League. It could just be false rumors circulating the server because of gossip.

If there were a League, however, I think after tonight's received letter, I can now identify a mole that's been planted.

Regardless of whether it exists or not, the League -is- watching.
 
So, if they don't exist then we should keep in mind that they are watching and do exist except if they're not? Or do they actually exist and we have to watch to see if they're watching or if in fact they do not exist?
 
This is making me as paranoid as those days i played on a Hardcore pvp server where they allowed griefing.
 
Dear current and/or would-be members of the figment organization hinted as The Obsidian League. Tonight would be our very first face-to-face gathering!

Date - 1/3/13
Time - 8pm CST
Locale - "Where the rain falls on the rose." (Check your emails for translations, herp derp)

Were we an actual group as opposed to the trolling mad ramblings of a lunatic, we would be covering three things on tonight's agenda.

1) Walker Slaying Tactics
2) Squadron Assignments
3) Operation: Ainretediar


Also: We still need more builders for our Underground Obsidian Lair... You know. If there were such a thing.[DOUBLEPOST=1357211533][/DOUBLEPOST]*Update*

You told me you knew nothing of this league. Also, I know of the attack on Eternia this weekend, so I hope you're prepared, because we are. :3
 
How can I know anything about something that is quite possibly nothing at all? You riddle me, Tax.

I think you're grasping for theoretical straws.
 
You're right about one thing. Our leader, if we had someone to lead something that may not even be anything, does have an interest in you.

I do remember a group of supposed super-players, made up of people who were amazingly skilled at certain jobs. I was head of construction (or similar title). Idk what happened to it, I went inactive (IRL stuff) and was never contacted again... but the group I was part of was the good group that supported all things friendly and peaceful.
 
Well, the fun part would be, were this thing not just trickery, there are no Factions actually in this. Well, not so much as individuals. Easy to wage wars against Facs and their allies, a bit harder to wage ware against the unknown.

Isn't that exactly who these guys are though? Nay, deeper than simple unknowns, but also an improbability.

Scratch that whole cobble castle. Obsidian or nothing.

Boy this guy rants and talks to himself.

Well maybe he's answering unspoken questions lingering upon the mute lips of the League itself, should it exist that is.


Also, your spies picked up a member from Cross, huh? I can, of course, neither confirm nor deny whether that's actually him or just someone they're letting take the fall. Regardless K the Orc is satisfied and that's good enough for me.

The only spy associated with me is myself, and I was stalking the dynmap like a hawk when I saw him...
 
Mecharic, I believe that was before my time, though the League itself is ageless and has been lying silent for quite some time.

Mayhap, if there are any still around, you could come clarify your work and discuss reapplying. Then again, you could just be lured out into the middle of nowhere with more questions than answers.

It's hard to get a decent Help Wanted ad out when you don't exist.
 
What I'm curious about is there recruitment methods. If we can choke those, then no soldiers means no league.

Ya know, the surprising thing is the more complicated and secretive someone tries to make a organization, the harder it is to run.....

While the OL -do- exist, it's something we've decided to place on hold. I can say we actually had no intention of Raiding Eternia. We have a code, which I will not list here. This was designed to be a plot line between a few Facs and players, but due to some unexpected changes in the League's administration, we will be holding off for a month or longer before unleashing upon the world our sinister plans.

I'm using mun bubbles because this post was half in-character and half out. I was speaking on behalf of our organization, but not from the point of Ali'barem.

No doubt, I will continue with League progression, but most of that progression will lie below the surface and only reach our current members.

Thanks for your time, I look forward to stalking you all later when the opportunity once again rises.

So whether it exists or not, the League is returning to reclusiveness for the time being, yet as always; they are watching you.

I was actually sort of expecting a raid. I even cleared my inventory for LooT space. xD
 
Good news everyone!

Complications arose but now we're coming back on track. I know a few of you have left certain Facs and may or may not get along with exactly everyone in TOL, -but- we are above Factions and feuds. So for the sake of the story, let's build a bridge over this drama river of tears.

I'm working on some roleplay threads. One will help to uncover the origins of our League, the other will help people better understand some of what's going on. I might even make a third that comes from K's perspective, seeing as he doesn't post anything. I'll run it by him first, of course.

More meetings? I know we haven't had one in a while, and that's because we were lying dormant. Sorry about that, stuff irl happens sometimes. Regardless, things have changed much more quickly than I would have anticipated, and so we can start moving forward again.

I gotta finish the Crypt and most of my builders have been away for the past few weeks. If anyone knows anything that can keep a secret and likes to build stuff, lemme know.

Also, we have N working on skins. Just send in your current and we'll try to modify a robe on that bad boy/girl. You're more than welcome to do it yourself, however.
 
I honestly forgot about you guys and almost named a faction TheLegion. Whooo, mistake averted :P
 
We're not a Faction. We very likely don't even exist. Name your Fac whatever you want. You can't draw the animosity of those that never were. You know, unless you're Tax. ;)

We have a lot more lore cemented, but a lot more that's still developing. We know who they are, but where did they come from exactly and why are they doing all this?

That'll be revealed later. One thing is for sure, they've targeted a few members of the community and have been networking spies in various Facs. For some reason, they're less interested in the outcome of the war and more interested in just observing the combat.

Will you reveal if the 9th is infiltrated?
 
If those who are without face wished to infiltrate the 9th, they would have already done so on the 9th. Of when? Who knows? Irony for a handful of nothings from nowhere.

Lurking in the dark, the Obsidian remains both hidden and unbreakable yet never dormant. Only the unimaginative would see them as standing still.

Sometimes, I hear echoes of those that never were and they want more.

If anyone has any interest in joining the League, you're only fueling madness. That doesn't mean you wouldn't be accepted. However, you may very well become less than yourself, or perhaps more, when you begin to flicker in and out of existence.
