IMPERIAL MARSHAL CABINET LOWERS ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

~ 3 June, 307

The I.M.C has through His Lordship, the Margrave of Drachenwald, proclaimed the allowance of commoner entry into the Cabinet should they meet the following conditions:

  • They are a graduate of the Marshalry or Admiralty schools;

  • They are of male gender;

  • They are Ailor.
Furthermore, a new law so named the Imperial Competence Law has been issued with the following description:

"To undermine the Regalian Navy through sabotage or negligence is strictly punished with a Military Tribunal trial. Military Officers are expected to show competence while commanding troops, managing supplies, and equipment, or acting on behalf of the Regalian Navy."

HOUSES ROTE AND TYPHONUS MERGE

~ 3 June, 307

In a move that was likely neither pleasing to the former Archduke Typhonus or the Count Griptham, the two houses Rote and Typonus have merged with House Rote assuming a cadetship of the mainline Typhonus. A dual-crown system shall be utilized, granting the now Rote-Typhonus significant autonomy. Neither branch may hereafter wage war without the written permission of the other. House Rote-Typhonus further declared that this merger will in no way affect their present alliance with House Harhold and other allied realms in the Empire. Time will tell if the former Archduke can bring his House back to great prestige following the break up of the age-old Typhonus duchies.

MAGNOLIA ORDER AND CHARITY NEED SUPPORT

~ 3 June, 307

The Magnolia Order & Charity organization dedicated to providing healthcare in the city and hot meals to those who need it has seen a lack of support and interest these past few months. We, The Imperial Times, have taken it upon ourselves to get the word out about this notable organization and we truly hope that such a noble order will thrive. Please lend your time and support to this Charity.

THE POETRY OF THE EMPIRE: SERIES ONE ~ PART THREE

He has yet to show mercy,

My soul is an ember,

For him to snuffle out.

I search beyond,

To the edges of time,

There do I find a strange spire.

-

Please, sir Death,

Wait, to reap me.

Spare me, spare me,

Thy ode of demise.

He, prepares his song.

-

This spire contains,

The strangest of things,

A stone, a hole bored in its core.

From this pit, this endless cavern,

Waters that shine in the sun.

I raise my hands,

To grasp this cure.

-

Please, sir Death,

Wait, to reap me.

Spare me, spare me,

Thy ode of demise.

He, prepares his song.

-

With a dying breath,

I lower my hands.

I sip from the glory of God.

My soul is ablaze,

The ember restored.

My being is intact,

Sir Death, I laugh.

Thea Rote-Typhonus nods at the T.I.T.

Aleck took a small glance through the newspaper, grumbling lowly and shaking his head. He slowly scrunched it up, squeezing the T.I.T in his right hand and tossing it to the fireplace. "Newspaper is lacking these days, perhaps soon he'll have some decent writing to produce."

Haeddi rapped her edition before commenting, "You'd think they'd mention Knight Ravenstad."

Alannah Lupenzi wanders up to the stall, regals already in hand for the paper. She passes it over to the vendor, giving them a warm smile. "If you could, would you please subscribe me to this? I'd love to keep up with things." With that asked, the redhead placed the current edition in her satchel, then shuffled off!

Frankie's gaze seemed to loom right over the important announcement of her own house merging. Flickering straight to the poetry, skimming through she batted Freya's arm with the newspaper. "Think I could get in with my writings?"

Freya jolted on contact, gaze shooting to Frankie. She curiously peeked over the woman's shoulder, pondering for a moment, before offering an eager nod. "Of course! I don't see why not- Maybe something cheery! All the poems I've seen featured so far are so grim.."

LIDA squinted at the paper, trailing down the poetry. Taking a moment to reread through it again. Flipping it around to place flat onto the table, sliding it over to Syr @Narrju to read as well.

"I never understood poetry. I alvays thought it vas
impractical.." she grunted out, taking another sip of her drink.

Siv Sterke-enn looked at the paper she found on the street, it was muddy and torn. "I think I might just subscribe to this." Casually taking the paper with her, she headed to her house.
