As the many blessings of the Spirit are harvested for the deserved Humanum to sustain themself, we must remember to show kindness and mercy to those less fortunate than ourselves. It is with this guiding principle of the Priscelle Church in mind that House Ombre, alongside the Regalian Almshouse, presents the Harvest Cornucopia day of charity.

On this day, in the courtyard of the Salvation Church, we shall gather to present our many blessings for the city to enjoy. Freshly baked goods, hymns of praise and forgiveness, and a friendly game will be available for all to enjoy.

The most coveted, best looking baked goods will be for sale and all funds shall be donated to the Regalian Almshouse and the Hadar War effort. Additionally, the soul whose baked good that sells for the highest bid shall receive a prize of 250 regals if they are not blue-blooded, or a set of imported fine china from Dexai otherwise. Though, if able, we ask that the coinage be defaulted to the Almshouse.

After the baked goods have been auctioned, a 'needle in the haystack' like game shall take place in the courtyard: those interested in competing will be asked to make a measly donation of 50 regals, should they be able to afford it. Regardless, the seekers will aim to find a 'golden' leaf ('silver' leaf if they are unable to donate!) amongst the many that litter the grounds. This serves as not only a game, but a volunteer effort to clean up one of the few churches in the city that is still intact. The winner will receive a prize of 250 regals if they are not blue-blooded, or a pearl and diamond encrusted silver gilded silk fan from Ithania otherwise.

Finally, songs will be sung - and everyone is encouraged to praise the Spirit with hymns! A few of House Ombre shall open the festivities with a hymn, followed later in the night by a secular song. A stage shall be set up for those blessed with angelic voices to be heard.

When: October 20th, 6 PM EST.
    Where: The Salvation Church.
    What: A charity event.
Who: Anyone, though guards will be present. (If you wish to disrupt this event, please message me OOC so we can set it up!)

    Bake Sale

In order to compete in the bake sale, please list the following information:
    Baked Good:
    Chef:
All dishes will be finished and presented at the beginning of the festivities, with three dishes being chosen by a panel of judges and a fourth dish chosen by popular vote to be auctioned off. The cook whose dish is auctioned for the highest amount will win a prize of either 250 progression regals if they are not blue-blooded, or a set of imported fine china from Dexai, along with a ribbon for bragging rights.
    Leaf in a Haystack
This is a needle in the haystack variant: a 'golden' and 'silvered' leaf has been hidden within the leaf littered courtyard of the Salvation Church. For a donation of 50 regals, or free if they cannot, competitors will search for said leaf.
To play, all contestants will roll out of 20+perception prof. This will go in rounds: with the three highest numbers moving on from the first round, the two highest moving on from the second, and so on.
The winner(s) will receive a prize of 250 progression regals if they are not blue-blooded, or a pearl and diamond encrusted silver gilded silk fan from Ithania otherwise.
    Songs
If you would like to sing a song, simply apply here and we will set up an order for artists/bands to have the stage. First come, fist serve - there will be a maximum of ten songs (outside of the opening hymn/secular song). If more are interested, we can increase the maximum.
    Group/Artist:
    Names, if more than one:
    Secular: y/n
May the Spirit bless you all.

A few excerpts from the sermon today, by the three Priscellean Curates.

Curate Natalia, of House Ombre, opened with the following:

Today we are here to offer a portion of ourselves, whether that be in the food we bring or coin we donate, to the Spirit. It is truly a blessing to be able to give - one virtue I fear, is needed ever more in this day and age.

Followed by Curate Gwendoline, of House Ombre:

Wherever you are, you are surrounded by the gifts of the Spirit. But we must be careful, for we are not meant to keep these presents to ourselves. The true joy of wealth comes from sharing it.

And with parting words from Curate Abrielle, of House Ombre:

Remember that it is righteous to aid those without the means to help themselves and that goes tenfold as the days turn towards winter. I thank all those who came here today I trust that the spirit smiles upon you. Oratario Paean.
