The Good Old Days...

Ah, good times. I remember disarming as many Valyrians as I could, then running off and backpacking the loot.

I remember dying around 50 times when the Imperials invaded Zion, but that came later.

I remember watching from relative safety whilst perched atop the FHFDooMCannon.

Its a shame that the server has restricted another fun event/war like this from happening again.

It was restricted when rules were made about needing an RP reason to raid declare war and such. The good old day of war and raids happened because there wasn't any rules on having a pathetic RP thing to raid and PvP. Yes you can still have an empire and have fun with it. But without something like Imperials, its boring as heck.

ą¹–Ū£ŪœOh the times. I remember hearing SOMEONE screaming in global about it. Literally, someone, I sadly do not remember who... :c
I will bet I can hop back even further:

Who can remember when 200 in a McMMo Combat Skill was devastating?

Would imperialism be an invalid RP excuse? I think not. If you wanted to conquer the server and have that in an RP perspective it could and "Might" happen again. We came close with the mag wars.

Things like this would be great if the two major sides of Massivecraft, RP and PvP, weren't so dead-set on poisoning each other, which is pretty common in PvP/RP settings.

In my opinion the mag situation was not an extreme threat compared to the impirals. I am not ignorant and I know that many brave people dies in this conflict. The people of mag in my opinion did not have a main leader such as Grixer from the imperials, When people spoke of the imperials it struck fear in my heart but mag just seemed like a distant far away war.

On Old Times: I died a lot, and therefor avoided most of the conflicts.

On Wars: A good way to set up a war machine of imperialism would be to set up a peaceful leader who is well known on top, but having the Empire itself as a military power trying to unite the world into a single empire so as to destroy war. Then, once the server has fallen, the leaders of said empire could arrange for coups, civil wars, rebellions, and other such pvp events that would be organized within the empire and therefor wouldn't affect those who don't want to be part of it.

I can see how this would be true. I said closest in recent times though. Not that it compared. I still hold out hope that someone will go all Imperials again :P

I don't believe I was in Auxillian when it happened, it must've been great.

I was the head-noob of Osai at the time and wasn't really allowed/trusted enough to participate in these wars :p

Nowadays you get banned for raiding without a RP reason. All the fun old wars back than were started because of a faction wanting to be a "raid4lolz".

My good old days was huddling in my at most 10x10 house in my first faction as it slowly went inactive. Only liked it because of the simplicity of the time. Everything is so complex now.
