He sat there, on the edge of the Fort looking out over the mountainous expanse of land, the snow falling upon his shoulders and head as he sat in thought.
"My friend, following the order of a God..is that not what we were already doing?"
He thought this to himself and remembered with his faltering memory
"No, he went to go and gather information, he is a strongman he can fight it."
His hope was all that he had left to hold onto...would he have to face his friend in combat? Would he have to kill everyone he once loved?
"He who walks this path alone may twist his leg upon the stone and have no friend to help him up..."
He looked to the guards and passerby's going about their work.
"Will we ever win?"
In his heart he told himself yes but as he looked around at the people, some wearing the wolf pelts he retrieved from the hunts. These people need him just as much as he needed them.
"Is this what you had intend for us Holy Spirit? Or is it the Sun God of Farahdeen that bestows itself upon my brow...void what have we become."
He looked out and began his meditation upon the wall, visions of strange memories and images flying through his mind, he stood alone against a bear the size of a mountain in this dream..it was no Ur nor spoke in any language he understand, it simply sat their, chained up within a plentiful of chains to keep it still. The beast looked to him with anger in its eyes as it roared. Its roar shook the very ground he stood upon. All Eirik did was stand there and sigh. You used to be bigger Ragnair...and more fierce in my youth..." and just as quickly as Eirik entered the trance he exited, jolting with a start so much so that he fell backwards onto the snow lain floor. He questioned to himself now the question that burdened him so greatly.
"Will I be the bear when I am grown?"
