A CONDEMNATION OF RADICAL LIBERALISM By Isidoro Playero Since the reestablishment of a reformed Inquisition in the City of Light, there has been a coordinated attempt at undermining traditional Regalian values and Unionist doctrine. Recent political discourse among the Common Class has been polluted by Jacobinist ideas in essays demanding racial equality and songs calling for the abolition of the nobility. These Jacobinist ideas represent only the most radical minority of a new faction that has sneakily taken root in the City of Light: the Radical Liberals. Radical Liberals are not necessarily Jacobinist, although these radicals may eventually develop into outright traitors to the Empire and the Unionist faith if their destructive ideas are not hastily corrected. Instead, Radical Liberals are possessed by the ghost of Jacobinism. Rather than demand racial equality, Radical Liberals will sympathize with races incarnated from unfaithful and heretical persons in the previous life. Though all good Unionists have an inherent feeling of sympathy for those who are currently living through the Spirit's trial to ascend to humanity, this sympathy is truly an attitude of encouragement for the trialing soul to redeem itself for the next life. However, the sympathy of Radical Liberals aims to absolve the trialing souls of their misdeeds in the past life. Radical Liberals expect to be treated in the same way as humans by their peers. Though caste distinctions may still exist, they are blurred. This is particularly true in the application of Regalian justice. In enforcing the law equally across all races, a key aspect of the trial of the Lesser Races in their journey towards humanity is lost. The Radical-Liberalization of law enforcement eliminates an essential experience in the trial that non-humans must live through in order to ascend to humanity in the next life. It was not too long ago that humanity had been reduced to slavery by foreign powers worshipping false interpretations of the Spirit. Through the trials that the same Lesser Races must go through to achieve humanity, the Lesser Races may redeem themselves for their treatment of humanity and the pain they caused to our ancestors. And, though Jacobinism is a plague that must be eradicated immediately, I urge all good Unionists to share their faith with the Lesser Races and Radical Liberals. If they are redeemable, we should do everything we can to show them the divinity of the Creeds and Spirit. The Everwatch is a beautiful thing, and it would indeed be a great shame if Radical Liberals and Lesser Races flirted with heresy, only to lose their chance at humanity and Paradise. ORATARIO ODE Spoiler: OOC TL;DR Racism is not only justified by Unionism, but Lesser Races must experience institutional racism as a necessary part of their journey towards redemption and rebirth as a Human. Secular law enforcement that doesn't institutionally discriminate against Lesser Races is disrupting their redemption because they're making the journey easier than it should be.
